I should've gotten a burger, it's hard to screw up a burger. I also got the elote corn ribs. They were good but would've been better if it were served the normal way. Seemed like it might've been 1.5 cobs stripped to look like ribs. The fries were good. I also got the apple tart. If you like McDonald's apple pie, you'll like the tart. The reason I give this a 4 is because the vibes were good. This is a great spot to watch a game or have drinks with friends. The vibes and energy were good here. The food is serviceable for that. We didn't get any food, but lots of different drinks on the menu. Servers were also nice and drinks came out pretty quickly even though they were slammed. A serviceable sports bar with many beers on tap and many TVs and high top tables to watch football on Sunday. They had the Jets games upstairs and the Giants games downstairs. A lot of beer is needed to support either of these teams. Former Jets running back Leon Washington was signing autographs, which was an unexpected treat. I enjoyed the chipotle mayo they had on the side im not into sauces but this one was pretty good. The fries were cooked to perfection however my burger had a big patch of sea salt on one end of the patty it wasn't evenly disbursed. I asked for medium well but it was a bit more on the well done side. This spot is cool for burning sometime before any event in the area. This is one of my go-to spots in NYC when I'm doing something at MSG or generally in the area. Their new location is fresh, has a great vibe, and much larger seating area in the bar. I had friends in for the dog show and they were staying at a hotel very close to Stout, so I met them there for lunch. Service was good, the place wasn't very busy so we had a nice relaxed few hours to catch up. The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals... so much so that when the rest of the group who hadn't joined us for lunch was looking for dinner, they wanted to all go back to Stout for dinner. Beers are always cold, service is always decent, and the food is always good quality time and time again. The new location is a little bit further from MSG than it was, but not by much. read more

Very disappointed in Stout. Made a reservation for a group of 17 people and specifically made sure to specify that my group would be able to order independently at the bar. If that was not possible we would have gone to a different establishment. Upon arrival I was informed that we would need to order through a single server and that ordering at the bar was not an option for my group. I was reassured that at the end of the night, the server would break off individual tabs for the different guests. At the end of the night, the server said this was no longer possible for my group and that it needed to remain as a single check for the whole group. Ok.. So I was at this location on 33rd St. off of seventh Avenue having a great time watching the NFL games on these big screens. The music was fabulous and the energy was big. I started to get hungry and couldn't figure out what I wanted off of their menu which has so many good options. I saw a bunch of people eating double smash burgers that they have here. I asked them if they were good and they confirmed that Yes, the burger is good. So I proceeded to order a double smash cheeseburger with extra cheese and an egg over easy on top. OMG! I have to say I underestimated this burger. But once I took that first bite, it was over. I devoured that thing so quickly. it was so delicious, flavorful, juicy and just on point overall. So if you are at Stout and in the mood for a burger, I suggest you get that double smash burger. You will not be disappointed. The fries were good as well. Nice a crispy! I went here with a friend to watch a collegiate football game and one of the guys I was talking to at the bar was drugged AND mugged by a creepy 40 yr old who wouldn't leave me or any of the other women at the bar alone. Drinks and food were expensive but the guy who got drugged decided to cover our $140+ tab on his company card. It was a fun sports bar where you're able to talk to many different (weird) people. What I didn't feel is we ordered a platter of chicken fingers and they tasted like frozen Tyson joints which I'm almost sure they were. That detracted from my experience so crazy, and mind you the Knicks won. Also got a chicken bowl Mediterranean style which was pretty decent. Ambiance was between a dive and sports bar. I was treated with so much respect and congeniality by all the Stout staff last Thursday afternoon before the Knicks playoff Game 5, as ESPN held a live radio show in the basement. My 1st waiter was named Mika, who was a total sweetheart, and the waiter who closed out the shift was also fantastic! I don't recall his name but he looked a lot like Derek Rose and was such a kind heart! We only had apps and drinks, including a pretty decent espresso martini. The Bavarian pretzel with melted cheese and the buttermilk chicken tenders are great. Great place to watch a knicks game! Love the atmosphere. Love that they play sound everywhere. There is a downstairs if the upstairs is already too crowded so don't be discouraged. Food is pretty much what you would expect from a bar. I got chicken fingers which were overly breaded and Spanish artichoke dip which looked delicious but was surprisingly bland. Cant say I was too disappointed tho. Husband got the burger which he said was decent. Fries were good.
