Special wine made exclusively for Boston's Whitey Bulger. No longer available. Neither he nor it.

It's the people first and foremost. A very cool crowd. No thugs. No bugs. Just people having fun. Great burgers. Great fries. Great Nachos. Great Shepherd's Pie in the cooler seasons. Great craic in a phrase (Irish slang for good time). Twenty-something TVs so you can watch whatever sports you want. They have a same-name sister pub on Sullivan Street in Greenwich Village near NYU. Also the Hairy Lemon on Avenue B in East Village (pool table if you dare), and recently opened Lydia's on lower First Avenue. Today, four pubs; tomorrow, the world. Enjoy.

FEELS LIKE HOME, CHI TOWN IN NY. Good drinks, fun atmosphere with good attendants, and also with a very nice food menu.

Solid locals bar with plenty of nooks and places to sit, reasonable prices, and friendly staff (Triona herself was behind the sticks the night we visited). We came in a large group at about 5pm on a Friday for the Syracuse game and pitched ourselves towards the back, playing some games of beer pong and sitting at the two adjacent tables. Yes, Triona's doesn't have a kitchen, but that works in their favor, as they allow you to bring in your own grub. There are some pretty stellar options nearby - we went with Meatball Shop for some dinner/mid-pong snacking. Later on in the night another group (who apparently "reserved" the back space) came in and laid claim to our area. Triona was very apologetic as she didn't give us any heads up, and she gave us a free pitcher for the trouble...Definitely a nice gesture!

A fairly standard Irish pub. I thought the drinks were a bit expensive, but the bartenders were nice and the food is decent.

Great service, very popular place especially on game nights. Expect a lovely young crowd.

The bartender Kieran is so rude and unkind!! A friend sent us here and it was such a disappointment.

I come here for trivia on Tuesday nights! 1st place gets $50 and have a good mix of categories. They also have good burgers and beers.

Triona's is the best! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Great place to watch the games and the food is off the charts. 10/10 recommend.

Fine as a sports bar, but sometimes they play music way too loud like a nightclub. Can't hear anything except the bad music.

Really liked it here. Stopped by for a few dri ks before dinner. Games on the TV and a decent beer selection.

The "Perfect" Pint is apparently a far cry from reality…read more Our server, Ruffino, seemed perfectly cordial at first, but that changed rather quickly when we discovered a 20% automatic gratuity added to our bill without any prior notice. We didn't find out about this little surprise until the check was placed on our table. Nothing like discovering an extra charge at the end of your meal that apparently everyone was supposed to know about except the customers. We went downstairs to the host stand and asked to speak with a manager. We were informed that there was no manager on duty--apparently, just a staff of bartenders. When we questioned the automatic gratuity, we were told that all orders over $100 automatically receive a 20% gratuity. There was just one small problem: we had never been informed of this policy, nor did we see it posted anywhere. We politely asked for the charge to be removed since it had not been disclosed to us. We were told there was "nothing that could be done." Naturally, we then went back to Ruffino and asked to speak with his boss. We were promptly brought the exact same person we had already spoken with downstairs--who then proceeded to tell Ruffino to remove the gratuity. So apparently, there was something that could be done. Good to know. Unfortunately, the situation then went from questionable customer service to outright disrespect. During the interaction, our experience working in the food service industry was insulted, and we were told, and I quote: "I feel bad for whatever establishment you worked for because I know it was S**T. Get the F**K out and never return." Classy. For the record, there were only four people in our party. The establishment's own gratuity guidelines state that a 20% automatic gratuity applies to parties of six or more, not four. So let's recap: * A 20% gratuity was added without being disclosed. * We were told it applied because our order exceeded $100. * We were unable to find this policy posted anywhere. * We were initially told nothing could be done about the charge. * Someone subsequently instructed Ruffino to remove it, proving that something could, in fact, be done. * And when we questioned the situation, we were insulted and told to leave and never come back. Honestly, the last part was the easiest request to accommodate. If "Perfect" is supposed to describe the customer experience here, I'd hate to see what happens at an establishment that's merely average. As for the request to "never return"--don't worry. We won't. Some establishments manage to make that decision remarkably easy for you.

I stumbled across this Irish Pub with a Rooftop view of the street by chance looking for a coffee…read moreshop. The rooftop view appealed to me much more than hanging out in a coffee shop. Since my favorite beer is Guinness. Figured it was time to get it while waiting for a friend at the theater nearby. I was glad that the waitress at the bar downstairs was really friendly and gave me directions to take the elevator up to the rooftop. I didn't realize this pub was shared with another pub next door. The elevators was located in between the 2 pubs. While getting to the elevator, it seems there was an attendant that brought guests up on the cozy little elevator. Though, there were no attendants later in the day. The waitress mentioned I could bring my glass up with me to the roof. So I did. Overall, I enjoyed my time overlooking the busy street while sipping my beer.

Bartenders - FIVE of them will ignore tf out of you until they have no choice but to speak to you because some finance bros came and called the bartenders over. Thought it was because I'm a woman but then this older Caucasian woman came to sit next to me and they came to her right away (I'm a woman of color). I even had to flail my arms just to get the tab and I can tell that it's their routine to ignore a certain demographic. I was only here because my friend had to meet up with my work colleagues so I thought I would grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a quick burger before heading out for birthday festivities. The burger and fries were good and the rooftop is nice. I have no desire to return but it's probably what they want.
