I've avoided Limone on previous visits to Glendora Public Market due to the price being a little steeper than other options, but my fave Banh mi spot was closed when we arrived, and I recently saw a foodie account on instagram talking about the "Limone chicken & fries" from Limone. It looked super good, and seemed worth the $25 price tag considering it could likely feed two people. My wife agreed to try it with me and we weren't disappointed. The dish consists of a half a grilled chicken splayed over a bed of za'atar fries (which upon a quick google, is a middle eastern herb/spice blend). The chicken is covered in a yellow special sauce which tasted like a super mild Japanese curry in my opinion. Also included was pickled red cabbage, laffa bread (a thinner flat bread dusted with a nice blend of herbs/spices), and two sauces: garlic sauce and shawarma aioli. The chicken had a great char to it, which I welcome on grilled chicken. I thought the yellow sauce on top was going to be more citrus flavored because the yellow color and restaurant/dish name, but it tasted more like a mild Japanese curry, which I really enjoyed as I'm not a huge lemon fan. The fries had a nice crispety crunch and also paired nice with the excess sauce drippings. I enjoyed that it came with so much laffa bread, because it honestly might have been my favorite thing. The spice mix on the bread was so perfectly salty and herby and complimented anything you through in it. There were so many fries that I ultimately just kept making little fry taquitos our of the bread, and dipping it in the various sauces. It would be nice is there was more chicken and less fries, if you're going to share between two people, but it ultimately was enough food for us since my wife is a light eater. The service was standard. It's order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to notify you when your food is ready. It took a little while compared to the other places my friends/family ordered from, but it makes sense given the complexity of the dish in comparison. For having limited options overall for a food hall, I really like what Glendora Public Market has to offer, and I'm glad to add Limone to that list! Aside from the food, there's plenty seating/space for groups of many sizes. Overall, I think Limone deserves a full 5-star for serving up a great dish with a great presentation at a great price (especially for a food hall!). I'd certainly like to come back and taste some of their other dishes! read more

Came here to get the Cali Chop salad and the girl at the cashier's desk didn't even acknowledge us, we waited patiently while she was on the phone for about 5 minutes, still no acknowledgment, and then she abruptly walked away, no acknowledgment whatsoever. I had to go and buy two more sauces bc I wanted more... I had a lovely experience at Limoné Mediterranean (Glendora). I ordered the Harissa Steak Plate ($19.50). It's sliced, juicy steak drizzled with harissa aioli sauce, fresh saffron rice, laffa bread, wet baba ganoush, and salad. It's delicious!! I arrived at Limoné Mediterranean (Glendora) on a rainy Monday (around 5:12PM). Parking is easy; I quickly found a spot. This business is located inside the Glendora Public Market Food Hall. Staff is professional and efficient. Staff quickly answered my questions, and Staff worked hard. This location received a steady flow of customers. Staff hands customers an electronic pager that buzzes when the food is ready. My meal took about eight minutes and 56 seconds. Quick!! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Harissa Steak Plate ($19.50). The steak is firm but not dry; it's juicy with a very faint, pleasant charred taste. The clean flavor of meat shines through! I especially enjoyed the drizzled harissa aioli sauce. This sauce tasted almost honey-like with a soft spice kick. YUM!! The salad is also clean. The jasmine rice arrived warm and fresh. And the laffa bread is firm yet fluffy. The baba gaboush was very wet and squishy, but it tasted clean. Regarding ambiance, Limoné Mediterranean (Glendora) is inside the Glendora Public Market Hall. The place had a good amount of customers! I am especially impressed with how the Glendora Public Market Hall appears more clean and maintained compared to past visits. My parents and I eat at this restaurant often, we love the food! It's unfortunate that last night, we received pretty terrible service. I know the World Cup game was on last night, so the woman who was taking orders at the front was a bit distracted - I get it. I just don't think it's fair that I accept the type of service I received last night just because the game was on. It is totally possible to watch the game AND do your job...just not for the employees last night. My parents ordered the chicken and fries plate, they always get that. They put their entire order to go, when they didn't order it to go. My parents kept saying "why did I pay this much to put my own meal together?" About 25 minutes passed by and my order, the feta fries, was not out. I went up to check on my order and the woman working said "sorry he forgot to make it." And I replied, "my family finished their meal already". She said "do you not want it anymore? He's almost done." So I waited another 5 minutes (I guess he wasn't almost done...) and my order was ready. No apology. Also how do you forget to cook a meal when it's literally your task? While I was waiting for my food, there wasn't a single person in line, and the woman who ordered shortly after me got her food right away. While my family sat there and waited for me to finish my meal (cause they already finished their's) the same woman who took my order and didn't apologize for the kitchen staff forgetting to cook food, went over to smog city to grab a seltzer and Micheladas for her and the other guys working. It is really unprofessional to be drinking on the job. I'm really disappointed by this whole experience because my family and I really like this place. After that bad experience, we won't be eating here again. I hope management addresses this with their staff. It's also a huge safety hazard to have your kitchen staff drink while working, especially if they are working with knives and fryers. Yikes. read more

I decided to get the salmon plate after quick deliberation. I waited about like 10-15 minutes for my order and then the buzzer they gave me rang, and I went up to get my order. My salmon plate looked really good and the seasoning for the salmon was on point. The salad and avocado were fresh, the tzatziki sauce was solid, and rice was delicious! I visited Limon Restaurant, a Mediterranean cuisine spot inside Galendora Public Market, during a non-crowded time, so there was no line. I ordered their wings, and they were super flavorful, very distinct, with a heavy dill presence and a nice mix of spices. It wasn't too hot spicy , just a very unique flavor. If you're tired of standard options like lemon pepper, parmesan or Cajun, this is a great alternative. I do recommend starting with a small order, maybe 4 or 8 pieces, just to see if you like the taste, as it's pretty bold. I also got crispy fries, which were fantastic: fresh and really crisp. I also tried the cauliflower bites, and they were surprisingly delicious. again, a distinct taste, full of spices. I'm not exactly sure which country's cuisine this is from, but it was really unique, even if they label it Mediterranean. I would say try it, but again, just start small if it's your first time. I really enjoyed it, and I would go back though it's not an everyday stop for me, maybe every few months. The staff were nice Just a heads-up: there's no refill on fountain drinks, and there's no water station either, so if you want water, you'll need to ask the server for a small cup. Limone in Glendale was a great Mediterranean experience. The hummus really stood out to me -- it was fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The chicken was another surprise because, at a lot of Mediterranean spots, I feel like the chicken can sometimes be a little dry. That was not the case here. It was incredibly tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The lamb was also one of my favorites. The texture was so tender, and the flavor was excellent. Between the chicken, lamb, and hummus, everything I tried was done really well. I honestly don't have any complaints. There are so many Mediterranean restaurants around the area that it's hard to decide where to go, but Limone definitely makes a strong case for coming back. Limone is in Glendora Public Market, and it gets busy on weekends for lunch. It's easy for large groups to gather since there are plenty of tables and many options to choose from. We tried the Harissa Steak plate and it was good. The most memorable part of the meal was actually how soft the pita bread is! The hummus topped with some sauteed bell peppers were amazing, and while it wasn't an overwhelmingly large portion, they were generous with the protein. We told our friends about GPM, and the first thing they asked is if we tried Limone Chicken. We regretted not trying their chicken dish instead since it sounds like that's everyone go-to item. Ordering food was easy: simply walk up to counter and place your order. The menu has several offerings from salads to wraps and platters. Once you've placed your order, you'll be given a pager that lets you know once your order is ready. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Wrap and upgraded my side of fries for the Feta Fries, and added a side of tzatziki and toom (garlic sauce). At first bite, I liked the salmon but as I continued to eat it, there was something off with the flavor. I barely even finished a quarter of it. I did enjoy the Feta Fries, which were more like Pepperoncini Fries than anything. If you like these yellow peppers, you would like this. It was such a huge portion that my friend and I agreed that it was made for sharing. The fries were really good on their own. And adding the toom with the peppers was "deee-lishh!" It was a big portion! The workers were friendly. I liked their company branding. Overall, nice spot to check out and share food with someone. We were just there and it was disappointing. I paid 22$ for steak harissa and it was a joke of a plate. Literally steak was ready with in 2 min of ordering which make think they had cold meat and just reheating it. The portion was outrageously small for what it's worth. I can't begin to explain how much I loved the chicken shawarma plate. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the saffron rice was fluffy, and the hummus was gone before I knew it. I was told the laffa bread is made daily and I could taste the freshness of it. I was surprised that it was seasoned with spices and olive oil since bread tends to be served plain to let the entree shine. Their most popular is the Limoné chicken and fries and I could see why. It could feed two people with no problem with how massive the half-chicken is. They flash fry the chicken to give it an extra crisp and drench it in their chef's special sauce which was a little salty for my liking but it did add more flavor. What I can't stop thinking about though is the feta fries. I'm not typically a huge french fry fan so I don't order it as an entree or even as a side usually. BUT these are an exception. It's a testament to its popularity-- this place has grown to be my favorite mediterranean spot in the area-- still super fresh, super bright, and super delicious! My go-to is the chicken rice plate-- the chicken is tender, and there's fresh vegetables, hummus, and a delicious sauce that I cannot get enough of.
