The food is amazing, it comes out quick, everything is really fresh. I usually get the bowl when it's lunchtime, it's a really solid portion of food, you get a protein of your choice, the chicken is mind blowing, and the gyro meat is really tasty, rice, salad, and pita for 15-16 dollars assuming you don't get an upcharged meat like steak or salmon. The decor is really nice, light wooden chairs and the tiling is really nice and clean.

The food is consistently delicious. The meats are tender and full of flavor. The salad with the cucumbers, capers, feta and tomatoes is one of my favorites. Know that you do have to wait a little while for your food, it is cooked to order and they seem to have a lot of phone orders. The restaurant is clean and well organized. My only complaint is that the last 2 times I've ordered from here there were mistakes or items not included. Yesterday, case in point, my spicy feta was missing from my to go order and of course I didn't check the tied up bag. My husband's pita with no tzatziki sauce had tzatziki sauce.

Super friendly staff! You can tell the owners really care about the quality of food being served. I was stuck between the pita, the bowl, and souvlaki plate. I opted for the plate. I got one skewer each of veggies and chicken. The chicken was perfectly done. Super juicy and not overly dry. Both chicken and veggies were well-seasoned. I got it with a side of lemon potatoes which were quite refreshing. The plate seemed to be about the same size as the bowl in terms of portions. I was expecting the skewers to be a little bigger for the price. Next time I will be getting the bowl or the pita. I got a glance at someone's gyro pita and it looked amazing. But what is important is that the food overall tasted amazing. Quality on par. Don't think there is any other Greek restaurant in the vicinity that matches the flavor and quality as here!

I really wanted to love this place since I love Greek food but sadly I was extremely disappointed. Ordered food from them on door dash and the chicken was completely raw inside. I took a bite and realized it was chewy so I spit it out. I opened it up and saw that the inside was raw and bloody. This is so dangerous and extremely disg

Just an update to my previous review regarding the photo I posted of the falafel. Upon ordering it a second time, I am glad to know that the dark brown color is part of the cooking and was not an exception on my visit. I will be happy to order it again in the future. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

We had dinner here yesterday. Parking is easy as long as it isn't during peak time. Grape leaf is a small boutique restaurant, with only a handful of tables. We ordered a bunch of items: classic gyro pita, gyro platter and bowl, street fries, tiropita, avgolemono, pastitsio Loved their potatoes, gyro meat, tiropita and avgolemono. The pastitsio, hummus and rice were just ok. Experience was great nonetheless and the folks here were very kind.

Me and my lady just tried this place on a whim. SUPER GOOD. Blew our expectations. Also Jacob was super hospitable like he had a guest in his own home. It was a great experience all together.

Absolutely amazing. Mediterranean food is not Al the same, as I learned. This is Greek Mediterranean and wow was it amazing. We started out with the tzatziki and warm pita breads. The tzatziki was flavorful and was not watery as normal places might have. I had the lamb chops and a filet mignon skewer. The skewer was delicious and very tender. The lamb chops were delicious. The lemon potatoes were excellent. Well prepared and a delicious sauce across the top. My wife had the pork and chicken skewers. Surprisingly both meats were tender and juicy. Neither were overcooked or stringy. The staff were friendly with warm demeanors. Every walking atmosphere. We'll definitely be heading back for a quick and simple, but delectable dinner or lunch. Five this spot a try, you will not be disappointed.

Grape Leaf is one of my favorite restaurants! They're located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking available. The staff is very friendly and attentive. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in. You place your order in the front and are provided a number to place on your table. They have a loyalty program available. I have 2 free gyros available. My favorite items are the Horiatiki with steak and the Bowl with steak, chicken, salmon, or falafel. The Horitiki is refreshing and delicious. It's made with purple onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, and feta cheese. The chefs always cook the steak to perfection. I normally ask for medium rare. I love their pita bread with the spicy feta spread. The bowls come with rice, salad, a spread, protein, and pita bread. Other items that I have tried that are equally as delicious are the lemon potatoes, Tzatziki, Hummus, chicken soup, and their Greek yogurt with sour cherry. Their yogurt is perfect for a treat on a hot day! The service is fast. You can also phone in orders and order online. They have a lunch bowl special available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are in the mood for some tasty Greek food, give Grape Leaf a visit!

Finally there is a Greek spot that is worth the stop! Food is always good here. Highly recommend the Chicken Gyro and the Tiropita (Cheese Triangle). From the Street Fries to the Souvlaki you can't really go wrong. Staff is friendly and it is a Family owned small business. Vibe is modern Greek with Greek music playing in the background.

Our gyro piatos tasted amazing. The rice was soft, the gyro was seasoned well, and I think one of our most favorite parts was the pita and the potatoes! The lemon potatoes were slightly zesty and cooked to perfection, cut like large wedges. The salad has lots of seeded olives. Everything was made to order. The only con about this place is the space. It can be a tight squeeze. I think it's perfect for small groups or dining alone. I highly recommend this location and look forward to visiting again! Parking is in huge lot, and there is contactless payment methods.

An amazing restaurant in Glendora that reminded me of the cuisine in Athens, Greece. A definite must return authentic souvlaki, gyro, lamb chops and Greek white wine. Plenty of parking and very helpful and cheery workers that shows the food passion.

Very good food. Generous portion. My family enjoyed it very much. This is one of the few restaurants I felt nourished instead of 'stuffed' after a meal. The servers were very polite and helpful. The interior of the restaurant is in a modern style, clean line. They offered bake goods, too. We will definitely be back.

The lamb chops were delicious, and as busy of a night as it was with the farmers market, the staff worked their tails off to give us a table within 10 minutes. Drinks were delivered shortly thereafter, and I ordered the lamb chops... They were delicious! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and look forward to seeing you again. You earned that fifth star!

We stopped by this past Sunday a little after 3 PM and were invited to sit anywhere inside. It took a little bit of time to get our menus but that was no problem for us. Here's what we ordered: **Spicy Lebni Plate: We were between this and the tzatziki but ultimately went with the spicy lebni plate because it's something we haven't seen before. We ended up dipping every single thing we had on our table in this dip. With that being said, this was BOMBDOTCOM. (5/5) **Soujouk Boreg: I've had a take on soujouk boreg once so I don't know what a good one is supposed to be like but I'm guessing this is it. This was one of the most delicious savory pastries I've ever had in my life. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor! (5/5) **Fried Cauliflower: Extremely zesty although, I would've liked to see some lemon wedges on the side for those that want just a little bit more. The hummus dip they served with this was good but was amazing with the spicy lebni. One of the best cauliflower dishes I've had to date. (5/5) **Combo for Two: The chicken kebab was borderline juicy and dry but had very good flavor. The beef kebab cooked medium was amazing. The lule kebab was slightly gamey and very salty. The charred pepper was very delicious and I highly recommend you eat it with everything else on the platter. The rice was a little on the saltier side but once you eat everything with pita bread, it's more tolerable. Great dish overall but not spectacular like the others. (4/5) **Jallab: I love trying drinks from different cultures. I was told this was on the sweeter side but I ordered it anyways because it sounded very intriguing. I'm generally not a fan of floral flavors but the mix of rose water, grape molasses, and dates was very refreshing and delicious. Very refreshing and a perfect combo with our meal. (5/5) Overall, great flavor and affordable prices. Everything we had was so delicious but that spicy lebni plate was a massive gamechanger. Definitely ordered too much for two people but we ended up finishing everything besides some pita bread. All that food was just under $90 which was very surprising. If you want to save more, you can pay cash to pay a little over 3% less. The only downside was the slow service at times. It took significantly long to receive our menus and our check at the end. Mr gf was not offered any refills for her coke. We did however, receive one refill for our water during our meal. I usually dock a star for lack of service but honestly, the food was just so amazing that I couldn't do that. I hope management sees this review because this place would easily be my new favorite restaurant if the service was as good as the food quality. This is by far one of the best Mediterranean spots we've ever had. I 100% recommend The Diplomat Junior and we will be back soon!

I know the World Cup game was on last night, so the woman who was taking orders at the front was a bit distracted - I get it. I just don't think it's fair that I accept the type of service I received last night just because the game was on. It is totally possible to watch the game AND do your job...just not for the employees last night. My parents ordered the chicken and fries plate, they always get that. They put their entire order to go, when they didn't order it to go. My parents kept saying "why did I pay this much to put my own meal together?" About 25 minutes passed by and my order, the feta fries, was not out. I went up to check on my order and the woman working said "sorry he forgot to make it." And I replied, "my family finished their meal already". She said "do you not want it anymore? He's almost done." So I waited another 5 minutes (I guess he wasn't almost done...) and my order was ready. No apology. Also how do you forget to cook a meal when it's literally your task? While I was waiting for my food, there wasn't a single person in line, and the woman who ordered shortly after me got her food right away. While my family sat there and waited for me to finish my meal (cause they already finished their's) the same woman who took my order and didn't apologize for the kitchen staff forgetting to cook food, went over to smog city to grab a seltzer and Micheladas for her and the other guys working. It is really unprofessional to be drinking on the job. I'm really disappointed by this whole experience because my family and I really like this place. After that bad experience, we won't be eating here again. I hope management addresses this with their staff. It's also a huge safety hazard to have your kitchen staff drink while working, especially if they are working with knives and fryers. Yikes.

Disclosure: I've enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine ever since I attended elementary school on the UCLA campus in the early '80s and would get after-school Falafels or Shawarma wraps at the eponymous Falafel King in Westwood Village. Suitably armed with 40-pls yrs of dining experience amid the vast Syrian/Lebanese diaspora, what's a common complaint that grouchy naysayers may wanna level at Mediterranean fare? "Ohh, but all they serve are chicken/beef shawarma, falafel balls and lamb gyros! Not enough varieties of protein!!" [I've fielded this complaint from my grown kids for a few years now] Well- Leave it to your enterprising and innovative Uncle Omar to solve that complaint!!! These new brisket wraps are a wondrous hybrid of Mediterranean housing (the flaky but firm Shrek wrap) and All American (B-R-I-S-K-E-T!!) filling. The caliber of the brisket is top notch. Pull apart tendrils of low and slow cooked beef, sumptuously moist but not overly wet. Well seasoned but not deluged in 'cue sauce that obscures the unctuous beefy flavor... Commingle the brisket, lovingly slow cooked for sixteen hours, with diced onions, succulent tomatoes, Persian pickles and their strong-as-a-Rocky-Balboa haymaker garlic sauce...and you've got yourself a crave-worthy, eminently edible new addition to the Family! The ambiance at Abu Omar remains nonpareil. Luminously clean prep area openly visible so the OCDs among us can see their meal lovingly prepared; Sunburnt burgundy brick walls offset by striking Route 66 imagery; Floors so clean you COULD probably get away w/ the "5 second its still edible" rule we usta summon as kids. The service etiquette of Owner Wissam Shloul and his small but devoted staff is exemplary. Great food, meticulously fabricated while you wait. Pro Tip- Need your Mediterranean fix late at night? Fuggetabout "banker's hours," Abu Omar keeps hospital or casino hours! They're open til 1am, nightly. My meal was $19.01 with taxes.
