We arrived on a Sunday evening (5pm). Parking is shared with other businesses in the plaza. We found one in the shade. The restaurant is small, but they utilize their space well. There are 4 tables and I believe 3 high-top tables as well as outdoor seating. The interior is well-kept and decorated nicely to match the Greek theme. Ordering takes place at the counter, no self-serve kiosk. They have many menu options like sides, gyros, plates, kids menu, family meal, lunch specials, soups, and desserts. My go-to item is their Greek Chicken Pita with Lemon Sauce in place of the tzatziki ($13). I would sometimes order this with a side of fries, but my husband got it in his combo. The reason I order this all the time is because the pita not only tastes amazing, it's also filling! There's grilled chicken, potatoes, pickled onions, greens, and lemon sauce. The pita is thick and has the perfect chew to it. There is so much flavor in every bite! The fries were delicious as well. They were soft on the inside and crisp and seasoned well on the outside. We met Constantine today; he told us the recipes were family recipes and showed us the pictures of his mom and dad on the wall and pointed out the town they were from on a map on the wall! The food is amazing, it comes out quick, everything is really fresh. I usually get the bowl when it's lunchtime, it's a really solid portion of food, you get a protein of your choice, the chicken is mind blowing, and the gyro meat is really tasty, rice, salad, and pita for 15-16 dollars assuming you don't get an upcharged meat like steak or salmon. Know that you do have to wait a little while for your food, it is cooked to order and they seem to have a lot of phone orders. The restaurant is clean and well organized. Super friendly staff! You can tell the owners really care about the quality of food being served. I was stuck between the pita, the bowl, and souvlaki plate. I opted for the plate. I got one skewer each of veggies and chicken. The chicken was perfectly done. Super juicy and not overly dry. Both chicken and veggies were well-seasoned. I got it with a side of lemon potatoes which were quite refreshing. The plate seemed to be about the same size as the bowl in terms of portions. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in. You place your order in the front and are provided a number to place on your table. They have a loyalty program available. I have 2 free gyros available. My favorite items are the Horiatiki with steak and the Bowl with steak, chicken, salmon, or falafel. The Horitiki is refreshing and delicious. It's made with purple onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, and feta cheese. The chefs always cook the steak to perfection. I normally ask for medium rare. I love their pita bread with the spicy feta spread. The bowls come with rice, salad, a spread, protein, and pita bread. Other items that I have tried that are equally as delicious are the lemon potatoes, Tzatziki, Hummus, chicken soup, and their Greek yogurt with sour cherry. As someone who generally does not eat fast food this stop by restaurant/takeout place is incredible. They make all their food fresh for you after it's ordered. After eatting you can attest to the fact that this is a true Mediterranean Greek restaurant not one just trying to be. I've eaten multiple things on their menu all of which have been very good. We had this place for the first time a week ago and I can't stop thinking about it. We are here currently for round two, and on a Thursday night it is a full house! I have always been hesitant about lamb due to gaminess of the meat, but holy cow (not literally) the classic gyro is delicious. I got the kids meal mini classic gyro which is beef and lamb with pickled vegetables, sauce, and a side of fries. That got me super full as an adult female, I couldn't even finish it. My boyfriend got the normal classic gyro combo and same could not finish as an adult male. Fries are perfection. They are round fries but fried, not soggy like Shakey's, but fried fried. We also got the desserts which we were told homemade by the owner herself. It tasted very clean and not processed! The only down side the first time we came was that it took almost 30 minutes with not many customers. We are still waiting for our food currently, but I wouldn't let that affect how delicious this place is. Highly recommend if you're even just passing by, as it is off the 210. We're visiting our daughter this weekend and part of the itinerary she had planned for us was to surprise us with a visit to The Huntington, where we had built up an appetite walking around its expansive grounds. After putting in our steps, our Baby Girl took us to one of her fave dinner spots Grape Leaf Greek Kouzina. This restaurant was so delish and provided excellent value for my money that I had to write a review immediately after dining here. If you're a fan of Greek cuisine, Grape Leaf needs to be your next dining destination. Grape Leaf is located in Glendora, CA. and unfortunately it is the only location in Los Angeles. Hopefully my review entices more diners causing more peeps to experience this culinary delight and encouraging ownership to open more locations. It is located in an outdoor strip mall where you can find Ezze Sushi, Broken Yolk Cafe, The Curry Pizza Company, and WaBa Grill. The restaurant is across the street from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Sprouts, and Marshalls. There is plenty of parking at the strip mall. Grape Leaf has table top seating, high table top seating, a turquoise leather bench seating, and outdoor table seating. There is white brick surrounding the kitchen, a white brick facade on one of the walls, brass light fixtures, brass decor and floral accents, and framed pics of Greeks cooking. The Asian young lady behind the register was friendly, but I thought her displaying PDA (public display of affection) with another employee outside in plain view was unprofessional. I'm always skeptical when someone raves about a restaurant because I need to experience the restaurant myself to make my own assessment. After grubbing at Grape Leaf myself, I can categorically and unequivocally state that it serves legit memorable Greek food. It was so delish that I personally said to the staff responsible for cooking, "Compliments to the Chef." Besides what I'm going to describe, I really loved the value for my money where the amount of food served easily fed the three of us with a good amount of leftovers. My wife and daughter shared the Gyro Piato aka Gyro Plate, I ordered the Loukaniko Piato, and we all shared the Street Fries. My Loukaniko Plate came with 2 pork sausage links, rice, choice of a side, pita bread, and spread. The pork sausage links were hearty, had some type of Greek seasoning, and ate really well with the pita and the rice. For your side, make sure to choose the lemon potatoes. They were tangy, thick cut, and cooked to perfection. For the spread, I chose Tzatziki because it's what I'm familiar with at Greek restaurants. Trust me when I say to order their Street Fries. This culinary masterpiece of a side was a meal by itself and I'm glad there were two other family members to enjoy them with me. They are potato rounds seasoned with Greek oregano, topped with gyro meat, spicy feta, feta cheese, pickled onions, pepperoncini, and olives. That side was satisfying, filling, and every component complemented each other. Yummy!!! Our daughter said Grape Leaf was her go to Greek food restaurant. So glad I finally decided to eat here for dinner. Since I wanted something on the healthy side, I chose to order the Chicken bowl. The bowl was paired with an amazing Greek salad, rice, hummus and pita bread. The hummus is absolutely one of the best I've had. You could definitely tell it's fresh and packed with flavor. It was savory, juicy and well seasoned. - 2 souvlaki two-skewer plates. Chicken, pork skewers, served with rice, salad, 1 side, pita bread and dip. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the quantity was humongous too. -1 vegetarian dolmades: stuffed grape leaves with rice and herbs. My co workers and I have come back numerous times to try different items on their menu each time... and each time it we have never been disappointed. The warm grape leaves stuffed with meat was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The falafels were crispy and light packed with flavor. The feta fries were huge!
