We've visited Pasta del la Nonna a few times now, but our recent family lunch really solidified why this is a local staple for us. The second you walk in, the vibe is cozy and upscale, complete with crisp white linen tablecloths that give it a nice touch of elegance without feeling stuffy. They start the experience off right with drinks and a basket of fresh, warm bread--which is a huge hit with my mother-in-law every time we visit. We started with the Pasta e Fagioli soup, meatball appetizer, and calamari. Everything arrived quickly and was incredibly flavorful. For the mains, we had a full spread including the Chicken Francese, Chicken del la Nonna, Penne alla Norma, and the Salmon. The absolute showstopper, however, was the Special Pasta Dish (Carbonara). The presentation is amazing: the waiter actually heats vodka inside a massive cheese wheel to melt it down, making the pasta incredibly rich and cheesy right at the table. It's a "must-see" if you're a fan of authentic, indulgent Italian food. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making sure the whole family was taken care of. We came here for lunch to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. The staff were absolutely amazing, they placed us on the second floor so we can have more room for my baby's stroller. We had the second floor all by ourselves. We were very happy with everything we ordered. I only have the picture of what my hubby and I ate, but the rest of the family didn't complaint of what they ordered. We were offered bread with some type of herb infused butter to start and we ordered the calamari for appetizer which they were delicious. Service was slow our main waiter was nowhere to be found the hostess actually came upstairs to take our order approximately 20 minutes after we arrived she also ended up bringing us our drinks and taking our orders another 10-15minutes later. Food was slow to come out two members of our party ordered the clams casino and they tasted very off almost rancid. Main courses weren't served to us for roughly another half hour to 45minutes despite the restaurant being far from full. It really is horrible to eat when you have too much spice and you can't eat it they should let the people put their own salt on. Absolutely amazing, we stayed at Legoland and came here for dinner with two toddlers. We were greeted by two gentleman who were absolutely amazing. The food was great. We were worried walking in as it's a fancier place but the waiters made us feel welcome and gave amazing service. I have visited Pasta Della Nonna three times, and all 3 times have been an amazing experienced, from the drinks to the food. Ambiance is soothing, you have the choice to sit outside or inside. Sal the waiter is knowledgeable and pleasant. The owners Gilberto and Angel are attentive and always asking if you need anything. Took 10 mins to even get menus, another 15 mins for waiter to acknowledge us .. finally got to order drinks at 630 (reservation was for 6) after our drinks got to order our meal finally at 7 o'clock took 45 mins for apps to come out and finally after complaining we got our meals at 830. Waiter did not acknowledge us .. we had to go inside and complain and spoke with a "manager" who just said we are very busy tonight, sorry.
