Lincare has been helpful and friendly. Staff have been great! Especially Joni. She went the extra mile to help me keep my CPAP machine. She handled the situation and I didn't even have to get involved. As far as supplies. They have been more than responsive to my needs. They usually contact me to see what supplies I need. If you get equipment from this national company, expect robo calls from yes, a machine - that sound like every other robo call you hang up on. The electronic voice tells you they are calling about your medical supply needs....just like that back brace call, and hearing aid call you get constently. Oh, and do not try to talk to anyone about it so they can at LEAST say the name of the company, no, the local manager is rude and the national company hangs up on you. Had to switch to these guys from my old supplier (Meriter Home Health, 5stars) due to an insurance change. After contacting them in September and finding they're "About 6 weeks behind" (really?) I give them my Primary Provider info and settle in for the wait. And I wait. And wait. And then call. They didn't get all the info they needed from my PP. I call my PP, yes we faxed the info. Lincare: we need more info. Give them my previous CPAP provider contact info, and the original sleep study contact info. And wait. And wait. And call again. Lincare: we couldn't get the info we needed. OK so now what? Lincare: I don't know. Can you get us your previous info? FFS. Call Meriter, sure we'll fax that info right over. Call sleep study, sure we'll fax that info right over. Call Lincare the next week (It's January now, 4 months into this) Lincare: Hey I got that info! (No, I got you that info, in 10mins with 2 phone calls) A week later I finally get into get my supplies, well most of them as they're not all in stock, and the headband was the wrong size, so I had to go back. Bonus, the place is cluttered, the staff distracted, and it smells a bit odd. I know if you have insurance, you don't really have choice in who does your CPAP supplies, but if you do, I highly recommend Meriter. Update & Full Disclosure, I mis-read the expiration my on FedMed card by a week, thus I was doing this on the day before expiration, in a panic.... I'm a Commercial Driver, I need a yearly DOT medical certification due to the sleep apnea. To get this I need a printout of my CPAP machines data for the previous 90 days to prove compliance. (I am 100% compliant, that machine has changed my life!) So I swing into Lincare, right by where I work, on the way to the clinic that does the exams (3:30pm, 1.5hrs before closing) I have the SD card from my machine, and it's also on Wi-Fi, so I'm confident that a printout will happen in 5-10mins. The guy I've dealt with previously is just walking out: Me:"Hey Mark, I screwed up, I need a printout of my compliance report!" Lincare Guy "Sorry, I'm going to an appointment " Me: "Oh, sorry, can someone inside do it? Just 90 seconds or so.." LG: "No, only I can do it" Me: "Uh, so could you help me? My CDL expires at midnight otherwise, I work at 5am"" LG: "You can leave the SD card, and I'll fax the info over tomorrow" (See previous review for Lincare's competency re:faxes) Me: "No, that's not how it works, Dr. needs to see it to sign the FedMed card, I need to have the valid FedMed before I drive." LG: "I'm going to be late for an appointment" Me: "So, you can't help me?" LG: "I'm late for my appointment, you can leave the SD card" Me: "Ah, thanks, I'll swing by Meriter" So, stopped in at Meriter Home Health (by the Todd Dr. Culver's) and I repeat same sad story of how I'm a loser who can't read a date and need help immediately. Meriter Lady: "Oh, your machine is still in our Wi-Fi system, I can print you the last 90 days up to last night" Me: "Really?" ML: "Done, here you go." Moved to Janesville and found Lincare for my supplies. They were great at initial meeting, but trying to order supplies is a nightmare. So much so, that I am afraid to even call the 800 #! I haven't gotten any reminders for new equipment and am using months old supplies. When I called, I got the rudest young man on the phone, and he literally hung up on me! This review encompasses two different medical equipment situations. First one with the bipap: Lincare provided incorrect hoses and connectors. When we were doing the swap as instructed (hygiene), the parts did not work. Our infant was unable to receive treatment until the correct parts were provided. There is no emergency response for this company. They also did not seem to care about the issue when we able to speak to someone. Second issue: CPAP. After going through the hurdles of multiple visits with the sleep clinic and receiving approval from insurance for the CPAP, Lincare failed to respond to the equipment request for many months. Then, they initially issued the CPAP, but later called demanding the return of the equipment because it had been "too long" since a visit. Equipment was returned and we went elsewhere. The office in Janesville, WI was combative during the process. They are incompetent and an example of the waste that occurs when a company thinks they can do whatever they want. read more

Very disappointed in Lincare. My calls were never returned even after explaining my need for new CPAP hose because mine had a hole in it. My Dr had sent them my new prescription for supplies so that wasn't an issue. My sleep Dr even said their service was terrible but people have to get our supplies in network with their insurance. Very frustrating. There is a reason why this company has a one star rating. read more

I switched to Lincare from Home Health United (HHU) for CPAP supplies after truly awful service from HHU, and a year's experience with Apria where they overcharged me and threatened to send my account to a debt collector. (I filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection which resulted in a large refund from HHU.) So after two awful experiences with CPAP supplies, I found Lincare. I LOVE Lincare. They have been responsive and reliable. They call every three months to verify that the order is correct, and ship replacements to me. Thank you, Lincare! read more
