It had been many a year since we ventured to Lincoln Antique Mall and I'm glad we stopped back in. It's a moderate sized store with maybe 30 dealers. Merch wise expect good offerings of artwork, lighting, bar wear, vintage fashion (mostly accessories) and a good amount of furniture. If you're looking for Chewbacca McDonalds cups or Hot Wheels this isn't your place. I really appreciated that a lot of the furniture here was unique and design driven. Lots of MCM but a fair amount of cool stuff from the 80's too, perfect if you want to Patrick Bateman-ize your loft. On the fashion front there's a dealer that has a lot of very interesting and stylish sunglasses - I couldn't resist a colorful pair of Emilio Pucci's. That plus a nicely framed advertising poster meant I walked away happy. I would say prices are fair for what the items are. It's not bargain basement but they aren't stocking junk either. Not the friendliest place but I'd come back for more cool stuff. read more

Absolutely the most unwelcoming and clearly racially biased experience ever. Let's start off with the fact that you have to ring to get in. Okay fine, I kind of get that. I ring about four to five times, even putting my mask on since that's a sign/ask from the store that's right on the door. I see two people at the counter but no one buzzes me in. I figure they're trying to close early (even though their sign says they weren't closing for like 4 more hours, I used to work in retail so I could understand that). I stepped away from the door/their view to Google another antique place to go to nearby since this once clearly is trying to close when a non-Black couple approaches the door, rings once, and is swiftly let in. Wow. So I swoop in and follow in behind them and the person who let them in has an "Oh no" look on their face. They clearly weren't going to open the door for me but they gladly did for the non-Black people. I went in and was followed around the entire store though no one said "hello" "can i help you?" or anything. And it's a large and maze-like store so seeing the same employee at every turn was not coincidental at all. I had not read any Google or Yelp reviews prior to trying to visit but it's def true what folks say- super cold and unwelcoming energy from the employees, clearly selectively racist practices, and also some questionable items being sold all in the name of "antiquing". I will say the non-racist antiques and bias customer service aside, the items looked nice and were unique but I could not bring myself to give this place one dollar of mine. I also saw another Black couple have to come in behind a non-Black couple and I noticed they were not greeted either and looked uncomfortable. read more

When I entered the store, and saw the display created by the owner of Lincoln Antique Mall, I was incredibly offended. When I spoke to the owner and told her how these objects made me feel as a person of color, she simply answered that "they sell" and literally walked away from me. The lady who runs this place is a little odd. First of all, she doesn't seem to want to talk to anyone or look at anyone who walks in. I've heard her speak to a patron once, and it sounded like she was scolding them for something. I've been in here twice, and the first time she was just opening the store, turning on all the lights, even though it is listed online that it opened 5 minutes ago, and she yelled out from the back of the store to hold on or wait a minute, I can't remember the exact words, but it felt like she was talking to someone she knew. I was actually a bit shocked. When it comes to the selection, there isn't much here if you're into MCM, much to our dismay. The word "antique mall" is a bit deceiving, as it seems like there should be more than a couple furniture or decor styles here. Prices are also quite high. read more

Certainly not the worst, but not great either. It's not as large as it seems; I always finish browsing within 15 minutes. It's mostly Hollywood Regency and MCM stuff, which I'm not a huge fan of. Mostly furniture, some chandeliers, mirrors and knick-knacks. Even if these aesthetics are to your taste, much of it is overpriced and there's still quite a bit of junk hiding in those booths (to the point of being laughable - if you gave me those items for free I wouldn't take them!). Practically no vintage clothing/accessories. There is one booth with jewelry, but all of it is gaudy 60s 70s 80s costume jewelry (with some made-in-China garbage thrown in). The turnover is really slow even though I only pop in here once or twice a year. A lot of the non-furniture items have been there for years. Bottom line: if you're into 1940s and earlier this will be a waste of time for you. read more

There's a decent selection of items, ranging from knick-knacks to larger furniture pieces. I was specifically looking for a MCM style side chair, but didn't find anything. I will say however, there's a fair amount of MCM furniture like night stands and credenzas. Instead, I happened to come across a nice wood wall mirror that was in a 30% so I couldn't pass it up. Prices are kind of hit or miss, but there are some good deals to be had. The workers kind of ignore you, but that didn't bother me. ROACHES EVERYWHERE AND NO AIR CONDITIONER! Kris shall I post the photos?! Gross!! But here's my story -Spoke with Kris the owner via Facebook messenger, she had a listing. She was very quick to continuously ask me to pay her over the phone. I ended up driving all the way over to her store, even though that was a bit of a turn off, it was against my better judgment. Upon getting there you have to be buzzed in. She literally stared at me did not even say hello and was quick to tell me to keep my child off of the furniture she proceeded to make us wear masks. Well upon walking through the store, it is entirely roach infested. They are walking around everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen cockroaches the size that I saw today. When I was ready to check out for the items we spoke about several times via fb messenger and SHE CONFIRMED THE PRICE VERBALLY she went entirely against her Facebook listing. Nearly tripled the price and blamed a typo. Wouldn't work with me or even offer some type of fair discounts. I planned my entire day around this, drove all the way out to her cockroach infested store and was in contact with her for an entire day via Facebook messenger and then she decided to price gouge me at checkout. Long story short I walked out of the store with nothing and would've went back for quite a bit more being that I have an entire house to fill, but due to the bad attitude and price gouging I will never go back and never recommend a soul to go there super disappointing super greedy especially for an antique store. read more

They have some great pieces for reasonable prices, but the amount of rules there are just to shop here are unlike anything I've ever experienced. The door is kept locked at all times and you have to wait for someone to allow you in, then once they do, you're immediately told you need to wear a mask and check bags. Checkout was an odd process too. I was just trying to pay for a few small items with my credit card, and they have an ancient register where they have to type in every detail of your purchased items and the credit card manually, then they not only require ID, but they also need to keep your address on file? They verified the address on my ID was current and when I said I'd moved, they made me give them my current address. This seems very excessive, but I suppose they must have a reason for it. If you're willing to jump through all of the many hoops to shop here, there are definitely some cool items to be found. read more

Love this place! They have a wide range of styles of furniture and decor, including a great selection of mid century modern pieces at very fair prices. Every time I come in there are new things to see including some really unique designer pieces. I've been here a few times just to have a look around, but I recently moved into a bigger place and was finally able to take a serious look at their beautiful furniture. I've been looking for a liquor cabinet for months with no luck at other shops and online, but the owner Kris was able to point out three options right away that were exactly what I had been looking for. She was very helpful, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. I was able to put my first choice on hold and pay the next day over the phone. I was able to schedule a Shlep it so I appreciated not having to make a second trip to pay or pick up. The drinks cabinet I ended up choosing was in beautiful condition, barely even any dust when I gave it an initial clean. I paid about $400 while online I'm seeing prices upwards of $1800. I will warn you, it's hard not to spend hours in here! I'll definitely be back soon to take a look at the art and barware! read more

Always has some amazing finds at reasonable prices (for Chicago). Added bonus that the owner is extremely nice and helpful.

I will admit upfront that I know nothing about antiques. I enjoy nostalgia, and quality pieces that aren't build-it-at-home. This is the cleanest resale store I have been too, and the sections of items arranged by era and type are excellent. There are magazines, drawer handles, nightstands, mirrors, couches, jewelry, lighting and anything you can think of to decorate your space. The prices here are very reasonable. Most items seem to be refinished or reupholstered. I think what I like best about this place is the staff. They greet you when you come in the door, and let you browse. They don't follow you around and ask if you need help. In fact, they ignore you until you have questions or are purchasing. That is excellent because there are so many things to look through - even if you just want to check them out and not buy them! There is no sale pressure. They don't mind if you flip the the cheap old magazines or dig through the record collection. I recently got a vintage-style new ring here that has received so many compliments on. I almost hate to give this a good review because I don't want other people scooping up all the good stuff. read more

Here is my experience with this business. First contact with employees was kind of cold. Immediately felt unwelcome and was asked to wear a mask which I'm totally ok with and they kindly provided. By unwelcome I mean that there was no hello how can I help you here's how we have everything organized etc. There are lot of items in here and I was looking for a few specific things so a conversation would have helped. No big deal but I work in retail and I always greet my clients and make them feel comfortable before the business conversation begins. I expect the same thing but that was not the case here. Not really meant as a complaint more of a suggestion to improve the experience for first time visitors. I'm sure the regulars get special treatment but I was not feeling it. The inventory was nice and very organized. Whoever does the merchandising here has OCD in a good way. Everything was presented nicely and perfectly placed for a good presentation. Prices were fair and even good in some cases (rare case these days). Here is where my big problem is. Two of the employees were pretending to be shopping while secretly following us around the store like we were trying to shoplift. Put some cameras in the place like the the rest of the world if you feel that someone is going to steal from you. Would have spent more time and money here if I didn't have someone looking over my shoulder making sure I didn't shove a chandelier down my pants. The only men that probably go in here are husbands dragged in by their wife to carry the bounty or professionals so I apologize for looking out of place but if someone took the time to find out what I was doing there in the first place it might have been better for both parties. read more

Owner didn't honor yelp promo. It needs to read, "10% off an item $20 or more." (I believe it says 10% off purchase of $20 or more) I purchased about $70 worth of stuff and, after sharing I'd found them on yelp and showing her my check-in promo, was told the "fine print". Badly worded. Not the best way to garner business. I do not want to bicker with the owner about the promo, she wrote it for gawds sake! Good for furniture. A few gems scattered through, but not as big as some malls. As noted by other yelpers, prices are good for an antique mall and a lot of booths had sales. Not a lot of clothing, more smalls and costume jewelry - in addition to the furniture. Nice staff. I really enjoyed chatting with the men who were dressing the windows. A massive antiques store with all sort of cool gear from any period you like--some very interesting items from the 60's, for one, including an amazing Herman Miller office center, but they have furniture, books, and knickknacks from all across the 20th century. Lots of dealers under one roof, so you won't lack for choices. Highly recommended, only the tragic lack of air conditioning keeps it from a five-star review. read more

A much better and more interesting store when they were located on Lincoln Ave. S Since the move to West Irving Park Road, I have stopped in numerous times, their inventory seems to change fairly regularly, the last time I was visited, there was lots of moderately priced mid-century furniture, but that was an exception. Instead now I find lots of pieces absurdly priced, including some Heywood-Wakefield pieces that I swear have been in the store for well over a year simply because they haven't been priced to reflect what's going on with buyers. But that reach-through table is down to $375 when it was at $595 a year ago. Keep going and it will sell. read more

I purchased a lamp a few months ago. I feel terrible everytime I look at it! It reminds me of the poor customer service I was given that day! No one greeted me when I entered. I walked through the store and found a hanging lamp I liked. When asked to take a look at it the lady didn't want to bring it down! She said "can't you see it from there?". Over by the register there was a beautiful 1940's couch for $450. with original good condition upholstery ... GOT IT! Needed some cleaning, the owner gave me Glen's number at A-Abace. There are some good deals to be had here, they are in the city and easy to buy from (as opposed to going to somebody's suburban home craigslisting) Now is the time to get good deals on Antiques. read more

I just discovered this store and have been very happy with the items I've found. I'm not usually a huge fan of antique stores because I find cramped, dirty, low-lit stores very depressing, but this store is certainly an exception. All of the items are arranged well and displayed with ease. The owner is helpful without being overbearing. I brought a friend with me who has found several interesting pieces. I've tried the shops in Andersonville, but they are either incredibly overpriced in a pretentious way or sell way too much tchotchke. 4 stars for the sales prices, but I think she could be a little more negotiable. read more

I love the selection, and one of my favorite vendors sells there. The owner is not friendly and down right rude. She snapped at the girl working for her twice. She told my friend to be careful with something, wouldn't take my debit card as a credit card, because it cost her $3. Also when I asked for the fragile item to be wrapped, she said "No, it will be fine." Really!? No tissue, bubble wrap or box or bag? Unfortunately this is not the first time she has behaved this way. Bought a really cute bathroom shelf here, it looked vintage 60's ish. It was raining that night, and the lady in front offered to wrap it really nice and tight so it would not get wet. At that time the rain was getting awfully heavy, and the walk to the car would have water logged my purchase, Specially it is metal and may rust. Gave me a great deal on it as well.
