We go to spas quite frequently and I don't feel like arriving 30 minutes early is out of the ordinary. He was under the impression there was a sauna available to use as well. We entered the waiting area and sat quietly when the owner popped her head out and asked if she could help us. My husband responded with "we are here for a 1pm couples massage" to which she responded "no you're not." My husband proceeded to pull up his confirmations which he received at time of booking/leading up to date of service. She said "oh I won't be ready for you until at least 1:15pm". We said okay and waited outside on the porch. We went back in at 115 and started our massages at around 130 after changing. No robes or anything were offered. We had booked a 90 minute so expected to finish around 3 pm due to our late start. When they left the room after finishing we checked the time it was just before 240. He also had prepaid the services and when we finished was asked for payment. We were not offered a choice of Swedish or deep tissue and massage for both of us felt more like a back rub. Very unsatisfying. My husband was so disappointed and apologetic after the fact. At no point did the owner even offer us an apology let alone some sort of compensation.

I also suffer from severe migraines and sciatica. Every masseuse I have been to always asks where I want extra attention but I've never had anyone deliver like Erin! She has a lot of knowledge in the area and has taken extra courses to provide AMAZING relief for people who suffer from pain like myself. Other spas took appointments either over the phone (wouldn't pick up) or through email which wasn't easy, but the Saratoga Day Spa made it convenient to book it online for someone coming from the city like myself. Once entering the building it was located on the 2nd Floor. We were confused at first because the door sign said to ring the doorbell and wait outside. I found it easier to call them because they had other clients at the time. Once I called, they came out and got us. There are 2 bathroom keys hanging outside the door: one for women and for men. The facility was clean and spacious. My partner and I were led to the couple massage room for a swedish massage which was beautifully decorated with Christmas theme and cozy. They asked us if we wanted to focus on specific body parts and gave us time to get settled in the massage beds. I wanted more attention on my upper back shoulders and neck, which they delivered. There was a heating pad on the beds and you can adjust it yourself. They are very friendly, courteous and have good bedside manners. They offer you water before and after the massage. I recommend this spa.

I checked around to see who I could go to for a massage and called Adirondack Salt Cave for availability. They scheduled me with Hendrick and I added cupping as an add-on. Walking in, the room is dimly lit with salt lamps on the floor so you can rest your feet on them while you wait. There's jewelry, salt lamps, cherapy warming wraps (warmies made from cherry pits) and a few other things for sale, and the ladies at the front desk were so sweet and welcoming. The massage: Hendrick was very professional, attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns and to also explain to me in depth detail about how the massage would be done. I got a Swedish massage with cupping integrated in said massage and all I can say is my body feels less tight, relaxed and my upper back can breathe more easily than before. Thankfully, the therapist that I had was extraordinary - Christine. Since my knots have knots currently, she certainly had her work cut out for her. The couples massage takes place in the salt cave. What a lovely, zen space! I kinda want to move in.... I left there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Christine warned me that I would be sore and to drink a lot of water. I was definitely sore - but a really good sore. I drank lots of water and clean iced herbal tea for the rest of the day. I feel fabulous today and I plan to book another massage within a reasonable amount of time to try and avoid getting into the physical mess that I'm in! FYI - they're still following covid protocols - which I personally think is great. Once in the salt cave, masks can be removed (but the therapists do keep them on currently). The front door stays locked, so call ahead to book appointments or to shop for anything relating to Himalayan salt products. I'll definitely be back!

I am no stranger to massage but i have never had a spa bath or a facial before. The spa house is quaint and antique. I absolutely loved the feel and ambience of it. I arrived a few minutes early, used the lady's room and almost as soon as i sat down in the waiting area, i was greeted and told that my bath was ready. I was taken into a dimly lit room where i had a nice warm bath of mineral water waiting for me. There was a robe, a towel, and a hand towel, along with a little chocolate and ice cold water. I was educated on the detoxification properties of the mineral bath and advised to drink a good amount of water. After my 30 minute soak, a gentle knock on the door was my friendly reminder that it was time for my massage. I dried off and slipped into my robe and the slippers they provided. The sweet lady helped me carry my clothes to the massage room. Next, my wonderful massage therapist came into the room. We went over the basics then she stepped out while i got myself into position on the table. I've had Swedish massage and therapeutic, deep tissue & sports massage. My knotted up body was ready for whatever she was willing to throw at me, and she delivered!!!! It was the perfect balance between Swedish and deep tissue. Just the right amount of pressure with relaxing massage. Next came my first ever facial! You know that moment after a massage where you are feeling like a bowl of pudding and you really don't want to get up? A facial is PERFECT for this!
