If I could give Lincoln Landing Apartments zero stars, I absolutely would. This has been one of the worst living experiences I've ever had and I haven't even been here a full year. The rent here is extremely high, and for what you're paying, you expect to live in a safe, secure community. That is absolutely not the case. You're paying premium prices thinking you're getting safety and peace of mind but in reality, you're not safe here at all. At first glance, the apartments look nice, but that's where the positives end. Management is completely ineffective and unresponsive. Serious issues are either ignored or handled far too late to matter. Security here is a complete failure. My car was broken into in a gated garage that's supposed to be secure. Packages are constantly stolen from the "secured" mailroom, which clearly isn't secure at all. I even paid extra for a storage unit and that was broken into as well. You're essentially paying more money just to have your belongings put at risk. Maintenance is another major issue. Requests take far too long to be addressed, leaving residents stuck dealing with unresolved problems. On top of that, there are ongoing pest issues gnats coming through the vents, which is both frustrating and unsanitary. Overall, this place is overpriced, poorly managed, and completely lacking in basic security. Don't be fooled by appearances you're paying for a "luxury" experience, but what you actually get is stress, frustration, and zero sense of safety. read more

I would strongly caution anyone considering Lincoln Landing Apartments in Hayward. Our experience with the leasing office was extremely disorganized and stressful. I'm sharing this review so future renters understand what our leasing experience was like. We applied for a unit and then went about a week without hearing anything, despite calling and sending multiple emails. The only reason we eventually got information was because my boyfriend physically went to the leasing office to ask what was going on. At that point, the leasing agent told him that we had been approved and were just waiting for final manager approval. Since our scheduled move-in date was only two days away, he asked if he could see the apartment we were supposed to move into. The leasing agent took him upstairs, unlocked the door... and there was still a whole family living in the unit. They clearly had no idea anyone was coming to see the apartment. It was very concerning that the leasing staff didn't even know the actual status of the unit we were supposed to move into two days later. The day after our intended move in day, I received a call explaining that the unit would not actually be available for another three weeks, even though it had been advertised with an earlier move-in date. Thankfully we were able to remain in our previous living situation. Otherwise we could have been left without housing. Unfortunately, though, we had already scheduled movers and lost our deposit due to the last-minute change. A leasing agent later called me and told me the manager would approve a refund of the application fee because of the situation. However, getting the refund actually processed became another ordeal. It took an entire month of repeated emails and phone calls before the refund was finally issued. Most of the time the leasing office simply did not respond. I sent multiple follow-up emails over several weeks and never received a single reply from the property. It wasn't until I escalated the issue and included a corporate Greystar contact that the refund was finally processed through a third-party payment service. I also never received a single email response from the property acknowledging the issue, offering an explanation, or apologizing for the situation. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and organization from the leasing office made this situation unnecessarily stressful. Between the incorrect move-in timeline, discovering the unit was still occupied two days before our move, and the nearly month-long process to get a refund that had already been promised, the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves communication with prospective residents so that others don't have to go through a similar experience. Based on our experience, I would recommend future renters consider other properties. read more

Lincoln Landing - Never received a response - Apartments Near Me - Hayward, California

Front desk people try their best but management is horrible, no response. Moved in August 2025. Parking door for garage hasn't worked since ($100/month parking), management says its a vendor issue, takes time plus the stairwell pedestrian entrance door to garage does not fully close or lock, allowing homeless inside easily. (Saying that here to see if they fix it soon or not.) Seen multiple homeless inside doing drugs / broken glass etc. They have security guards sometimes but not 24/7. Bad response from management or maintenance, have to call directly or go down to office in person to get maintenance requests looked at. Stained carpets everywhere in hallways. Gym has had broken equipment and multiple work orders do not fix it. High mandatory utility costs ($250+ monthly) given its not fully rented out and charge per unit, my trash + valet bill alone was $140/month and water for common area charge was almost as much as personal water usage. There has been major leaks and flooding issues last few months so no working gym or coworking space but no refund in rent because of it and we will likely have to pay the bill for the water. Package room is a mess and lost many packages after living here for only 6 months, ask to see it on a tour. Ask for more free rent credit if you do move here. The owner is Greystar who has 1 star on better business bureau reviews out of 550+ reviews. Maybe posting a review will make them do changes but doubtful given other 1 star reviews. read more

There was a dumpster fire one night and it is the perfect metaphor for this apartment complex. Here are some of the issues as follows: -the elevators are always filthy -the garage elevator doors in building b are covered in dog pee to the point it is leaching chemicals out of the paint that look like rusty slime. The basement is especially egregious. -the gate to the "secure parking garage" is broken and left open more often than not -the parking garage is filthy and covered in smushed dead birds and cigarette butts -people smoke pot in the garden, garage, and basement and it gets into our apartment regularly -the "secure" package room is always a gross mess and my husband and I have had at least 8 packages stolen totaling almost $700, including Christmas presents for our nephews. We aren't the only one with this issue as there are notes from tenants all over the package room scolding the thieves. -the door to the package room breaks at least once a week -due to the design of this place taking a while to egress there is dog pee in the elevator at least a few times a month -the carpet in the hallways is filthy and stained -people are always leaving the garbage chute room gross and it is often absolutely overflowing with trash -nothing is well made in this building and our pg&e bill reflects it. The baseboards are painted cardboard. -the smoke alarm goes off so often that the residents have become desensitized to it and no longer bother leaving their apartments. -when husband lost job, we considered moving out to downsize to smaller, cheaper place. They wanted some 20k in fees and rent to break the lease, plus 2 months notice and would be allowed to start showing the apartment as soon as we gave notice while we were still living in it. It was cheaper to just stay for the 5 month remainder of our lease. -when Greystar took over they closed down the payment portal and we needed to pay by check for January and February. They lost the record of us having paid for January despite having cashed our check. When my husband went to pay our February rent they incorrectly had our January rent listed as unpaid and said we owed over 8k. My husband paid via check for the full month February on the basis if getting a refund for anything after our move out date of Feb. 8th. -we moved out in February and still have not received our deposit back, or overpayment of February rent, or heard back about the results of the walkthrough of our vacated unit, despite attempting to contact them over a dozen times via phone. Great Staff and Unit, but Move-in was a Logistics Nightmare ​I've been living here for a few weeks now, and while I enjoy my individual unit and the amenities, the experience of getting here was incredibly stressful. ​The Move-In Process: Signing the lease was a struggle due to issues with their online system. Worse, after signing for a specific unit weeks in advance, I was told the day before move-in that the unit was no longer available. This nearly left us homeless. The office offered no compensation for the stress or the cost of switching utilities last minute. On move-in day, the unit wasn't fully ready--the washer was broken, a kitchen cabinet door fell off, and we had to deep clean "mold-looking" spots in the bathtub and scratches on the floor. ​The Facility: The building is only a few years old, so the hallways are wide and the amenities are nice. However, there are maintenance hurdles: the garage gate has been broken/open for over a month, and the garage elevator took weeks to fix. There is also a apparently recurring issue with 3:00 AM fire alarms; neighbors say it's common, which is a major concern. Trash ​The Staff (The Bright Spot): The maintenance team is fantastic--friendly, responsive, and they fix unit issues quickly. ​I especially want to shout out Jaylen in the leasing office. She wasn't originally my assigned manager, but she stepped in and has been a helpful. She is honest, efficient, and explains things in detail when they go wrong. She is far more knowledgeable than most and truly works hard to stay on top of things. If you are looking to tour here, ask for Jayden specifically. ​Summary: I like living here--the unit is comfortable and the staff is friendly--but the management operations and communication need to become much more accurate and resident-focused. read more

I moved into Lincoln Landing back in December and honestly it has been such a great experience. The move in process was completely effortless, and having management guide me through every step made such a difference. They were friendly, organized, and always responsive, which took so much stress out of the whole thing. The space itself is open and well thought out, with modern finishes and natural light that I still appreciate every morning. The neighborhood is super convenient too. Having Safeway right across the street has been a game changer for my family and me. Everything we need is close by, which just makes everyday life easier. I am coming up on a year here and I have to say, since January the property has felt even better. The cleanliness and overall resident experience have really improved and it is clear management is putting in the work. It does not go unnoticed. My family and I love it here. I want to begin with the most important takeaway: if you're thinking of renting here, DO NOT. My partner and I lived at this apartment complex from November 24, 2024, to January 24, 2026. This was the WORST decision we could've made for various reasons. First off, the office staff really does not care to resolve your issues and has been blaming everything on the 'change of management' for the past five months, but their lack of responsibility was evident from the very beginning. We still have yet to receive our deposit back, and we moved out on January 24th. It is March 10th, and they have done nothing on their end to update us. They rarely answer their phones and do not care to follow up. Packages from the mailroom are constantly being stolen. You can go in, and there are notes on the walls calling out the people who are stealing. There was an individual living in the staircase for about a month, and they did nothing about it. The storage rooms are being broken into. The garage door is constantly broken. Trash in the parking structure is overflowing. We informed and reported to the office that there was an individual peeking into the cars and that our car recorded it. They called us back two weeks later and said that they had an incident where the chargers on the first floor were cut off and stolen. One of our neighbor's cars got broken into after this was reported. We've been working with Jaylen for the past two years; the soonest she has responded to an email was three business days. I was impressed because it's usually 10 business days. Ingrid, the new manager, has not gotten back to us about our security deposit, which was supposed to be provided to us over a month ago. They didn't send it to the address that we provided TWICE; they sent it to the Lincoln Landing apartment that we had just moved out of. My partner had to go in person to get an update, and that update was that Ingrid started working on it while he was there and that she would update us. It's been over a week now, and no update. Now I'm over here having to figure out how to get OUR money back. read more

Copy and pasting my original review since Lincoln Landing think their slick by marking their original Yelp page as "permanently closed" and starting up this new one - same review as nothings gotten better about this place This complex is advertised as a luxury apartment complex but is far from it. I don't even know where to start but here's a list of issues that I have with this place, and based on existing reviews, most residents experience the same - maintenance requests gets ignored, I currently have a broken kitchen faucet that I submitted a maintenance request for twice since July, management deleted my request and hasn't resolved it, it's almost November - the "secure" garage gate is ALWAYS broken, meaning anyone can just go in the resident parking area. - because of that, cars get broken into all the time or even stolen - the mail room is easy to get into and honestly a horrible idea, packages always get stolen - the building alarm seems to always go off for no reason, affecting everyone who works from home - the garbage bins are just displayed in the parking lot and is always overflowed with trash, it's such a mess, we often have to drive around it because there's literally trash on the garage driveway, and it stinks - management is unresponsive, and when I go downstairs to the office, a lot of times no one's even there even during the office hours - the security team hired doesn't do a thing!! When one of our vehicles were stolen, we found out that the cameras in the garage doesn't even work, we got footage from someone's Tesla, and it was a group of guys looking into every single car to see which to break into.
