I'm all set to move. I don't know what to expect but so far I love the people working there. The review are not so great but I don't see what they've seen. Melissa and Nathalia have been very responsive and my new unit looks and smells great. ( I'm a big fan of how the unit smells ) they worked with me through my credit report issue ( long story short I should have paid more attention to my auto pay status) and I'm pretty sure Melissa was cheerleading me . She's really just nice and professional . I hope she stays the property manager for as long as she wants . Now I'm downsizing and I'm trying to accept the fact that I've been in a townhouse for 12 years and I'm loosing space. It's a hard pill to swallow but I actually like my new space. We came back! Baywood is still the quiet and well maintained property we move into in 2020. Coming back to Melissa's friendly face and superb customer service was the cherry on top. My kids enjoy the pool and having on site community laundry rooms helps with any mid-week laundry loads. read more

Don't be fooled by the property. Myself and 3 other applicants tried to rent a unit here at Baywood apartments around October 18th 2019. The ladies at the office seemed very nice and straight forward, the lady who helped us out 1st was named Christina but she was a temp at the time and has now left. The other was named Maria, she was okay at first. After putting in our application, they got a new temp named Paul. Paul called my previous landlord several times trying to look for me, and called the other applicants landlords as well. He obviously got everyone's phone numbers confused. The same day I called him he said he would give me time to get him a different number from my employer because he was unable our get ahold of them. Literally within an hr I get a call back from Paul saying that our application has become to exhausting and that they've spent enough time on our application, to come pickup the security deposit that we gave them and we would be getting cash not our money order. I was out of town at the time and let him know I'd pick up the security deposit Thursday and no later. This morning 10/30/19 (Wednesday) I get a voicemail saying when am I able to pickup the deposit..when I had already told him when! So, instead I go to the office today 10/30/2019 and they tell me that I can't get cash back "they don't do that". So each person in the office tells us different things and gives us a run around. There was a business lady named Patricia there as well basically telling us Paul never said such thing so I'm called a liar. I let them know they need to train their temps before even putting them to work because Paul was confused. As for Maria, she told us it would take a week to know if we'd been accepted or not but didn't hear from anyone until my previous landlord tells me they gotten a miss call from Paul Saturday evening. Out of all 4 of us, they only tried contacting 2 of us but were calling our previous landlords number, NOT our phone numbers. When going into the office..Paul was not there only Maria and Patricia, we tried to express our concerns and frustration due to the run around and all the false information they have been giving us and they were very rude. They ignored us and gave us our money order back although western union (where we got the money order from) could not give us a refund since it was made out to Baywood apartments already so we went back to Baywood and had them write us a check. All in all, would not recommend these apartments at all! They are very confusing and then they give you information but later switch up what they say. It wasn't worth the stress and hassle. We gave $400 security deposit and now have to wait another week before we are actually refunded with a check in the mail. Paul is a new temp who should be trained better before being put to work on people's application. Maria is rude all together, doesn't listen, and has no idea what she is doing. She is very unorganized and can't believe she is the main person in charge of the office. We asked to get our applications shredded and the copies of our social, ids, and pay stubs as well, Maria was already going to shred them until Patricia said she wasn't allowed too because it's against the law. So if Maria doesn't even know their protocol then why is she running the office ? I wouldn't recommend trying to rent apartments here nor do I feel comfortable leaving my personal information in that office due to the fact Maria lost our security deposit agreement that we signed. Please be aware of their confusions ! Once meeting them they are very nice but in the end turn on you. They obviously just want people to rent there units fast and don't want to deal with trying to help you out and giving you time to get more information. They did this because they were unable to reach 1 of our past landlords and 2 of our employers were hard to reach. At the end, after seeing how rude Maria was and everything they did, I didn't want to rent from Baywood apartments, I just wanted our security deposit back! At all the places I've never had this problem at all. They don't deserve not even 1 star. So sad. To those in the office: Please learn to take feedback and be courteous to the next applicants you come in contact with because my experience was awful! We moved in 2019, exactly one year ago, and we absolutely love living here! The building is well managed, and has an excellent staff and maintenance crew that have serviced every task within 24 hours. They also keep this place really clean, and I see them every morning cleaning the grounds very thoroughly. The front office staff are really friendly, very attentive to questions, and always helpful whenever I have any questions or problems. The 2 bedroom apartments are very spacious, and some have great views. The big windows allow a lot of light to come in, and there's a lot of breeze. There are restaurants, bars, stores, and parks in every direction, and even though it's a big apartment complex, it definitely still retains that friendly neighborhood feel. it has definitely been a great place to call home. read more

My experience living here for the past 3 months so far has been great. In the beginning I was slightly concerned due to the negative reviews I've saw on here. However it is a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The apartment is clean and renovated. Maria has been very kind and helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. On one of the days, my outlets in my room stopped working. I went to go report it to her and they were very quick to have this issue solved. They had a mechanic came the next day to have it fixed. The only downside is that they kept one of the pools closed for a period of time due to others not following the restrictions. It would be beneficial if they still kept two of the pools opened for others to enjoy. Overall, great place for anyone who is looking for a 1-2 bedroom apartment. I would highly recommend. read more

Worst place I ever lived cats allowed so cat crap everywhere and it smells like it had a guy murdered outside my front door neighbors like to do drugs on there patio and management allows it security gaurd on duty but some how my car was broken in to three times and the neighbors was stolen 1800 for a two bed room no way I will pay that here in out maintenance is they like to clean everything with blowers blowing dirt on your cars every 2 days so washing your car is a waste no place for kids to live Management very rude and disrespectful gave my 30 day notice and they refused to give me a walk threw prior to the end of my lease then after they Reyes every way possible to keep my deposit of 1200 they even tried to charge me 200 for window cleaning 150 for carpet cleaning 100 dollars for blinds that there maintenance man ruined all this after I paid a company to come in and clean the whole apt and fix any thing that was broke all the had to do was paint and they even tried to charge me 300 for that after I lived there for 3 years also had a flea infestation twice and I don't have any pets how does that happen read more

Friendly reminder. Be aware when you move out patch every holes on walls even it's for photo frames and try to take care of your oversized garbages they will not use the city free recycle program to get rid of oversized garbages like sofa mattress. Worst thing You'll be told everything looks good when there is a moving out inspection but will see losing almost half of your deposit for things that I mentioned. My charge for moving out. 1.Full cleaning $170 2.Carpet Shampoo $135 3. Patch holes in walls $75 4. Cover markings +writings on all wall $150 5. Haul away dresser(I don't even have a dresser in my apartment), couches $110 Total $640 My deposit was $1400 charged almost half of it. I took pictures of the every room of my unit on last day and every one seeing it saying this days apartments are getting crazy on charging. In process of suing to small claim court. I rented from Baywood Apartments twice in my life in 2004 and 2012. My first experience was great, the property was maintained and clean and the management was great but the second time I rented from Baywood Apartments in 2012, it was very dirty and ghetto. The apartments were infested with cats and I did complain to Raiza but she said there was nothing she could do about it. The rent I paid in 2012 was $1415 and I can imagine what the rent is like now in 2016. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it is a disgusting place to live now. Oh and one more thing that happened before I left this place in 2012, I lost out on my $1400 deposit because of a small 2 inch spot of bleach on the carpet by the bathroom, I was told because of that small spot the entire apartment carpet had to be replaced so I was out of $1400. I felt it was Bullshi#, they told me they no longer make that color/type of carpet. #BEWARE read more

Absolutely WORST PLACE EVER to live! If Only I could give this raggedy place a 0 I would. The manager Razia is rude and gossips about everyone's business. All she does is sit in her house never in the office. She has nothing to offer but let me tell you she'll forsure hook up her people and make sure they're good yet when you ask her for something she acts like she's too busy but she's chillin her apt all day everyday. There's cats everywhere. They put scratches on my car! And management lied to me about parking said I had to be on a wait list when they were empty parking for months in certain spots. Then the assistant makes up a story that a lady who supposedly owns the parking spot her car is in the shop for 3MONTHS. (Yeah right)There's mold everywhere!
