Since 2010 I had…read morea history of "TMJ," or at least that was what I was told I had by multiple dentists, TMJ specialists, and other dentists. My symptoms were pretty much constant pain in my face, teeth, left eye, left ear, headaches, and neck pain. My bite had also opened in the front about 5 mm and my teeth no longer touched except on my back left molars. My lower jaw had also moved "back" towards my airway creating a significant overjet of my top teeth. I could no longer bite through foods, and just chewing was extremely difficult. I decided to schedule yet another consult because my gut was telling me there was something seriously not right, and this was not just TMJ. I met with Dr. Scott Soderquist and he reviewed the panoramic xrays while listening to my history of the past 5 years. I will never forget the moment he said, "I know what you have," and said I was textbook for Idiopathic Condylar Resorption; basically a severe inflammatory disease process that eats the part of the lower jaw that seats into the upper jaw. He explained that I would need to see an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, as this condition required braces to first align the teeth prior to surgery, then surgery to realign the jaws into a normal bite, and the braces after surgery to "tweak" the teeth into their final position. It was just over a year in braces before I was ready for surgery. I needed both upper and lower jaw surgery to realign my bite, and could get a little neurotic from time to time in anticipation as the date drew closer. Dr. Scott always took the time to answer all my questions, which I really appreciated. Everyone at Associated was always very informative, and just above all, kind , which I appreciated so much! I honestly don't know where I'd be today if I hadn't gone to Associated Ortho. I went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for so long... I had my surgery in February of '17, braces came off in July of '17, and my teeth and bite look amazing! More importantly, I feel amazing and am functioning as I should be. Dr. Scott is an amazing orthodontist; he is meticulous with his work, (my surgeons mentioned multiple times that they were very impressed with some of the things he was able to accomplish,) intelligent, and also a nice person...I'd give Associated Ortho way more stars if I could!

When going back to get this filling fixed, my tooth was drilled in WITHOUT anesthesia, very painful. The hole in the side of my tooth is only getting larger, and now having to spend upwards of $1000 to fix this issue. Please just find another dentist if you are reading this. Do not pay for sloppy work.

I went in for a off bite after having lyme disease I wasn't…read morehappy with my midline being off. After 4 years of work in this office, my midline is worse. He actually moved it in the wrong direction for a short period of time and I have a gap between the top and bottom left teeth that wasn't there when I started. He also refused to send me aligners to hold the teeth after he released me from his practice. The aligners he had sent as retainers didn't fit my teeth at all and it was not due to shifting as I had worn my aligners regularly. They were the wrong retainers. Hours and hours on the phone with office support since Dr. R refused to talk to me... so much stress and they still refused to help I had to call invisalign corporate and they found me another orthodontist who helped me for FREE to get my retainers from invisalign, also for free. Yes, I might owe him a small amount of money but we paid hime thousands of dollars for a worse bite and a worse midline and a new gap on the side of my mouth. When I did call him to try to go back in about this he asked for 1000 dollars to even see him! I filed a grievance with the dental organization but i don't think anything came of it. The very least his office could do is send me my money back so I can go to another orthodonist and see what they can do. Seems very money focused to me.
