Dropped off my wedding ring to repair and it went from a size 7 to a size 5.5. I have talked to other jewelers and they said that they have had to take gold from it to for it to drop that much. They would not correct it their response was "we can give you a quote for sizing it", which was a lot because they had to "add gold back in". Heh why not put back the gold you stole from me. For our upcoming 10th anniversary, I took my wife's ring to Linden's to make a major upgrade. The first thing I noticed was that unlike many retailers, Ashley (the owner) and her staff, actually listened carefully to what I wanted right from the start. First, I wanted to upgrade the center diamond in my wife's existing ring to a much larger stone. However, I wanted to preserve the center diamond in a new ring, flanked by new diamonds that would fit the shape of the original when worn together. It was a difficult job for anyone because of the type of ring I had. We searched through some of the prefabricated rings to find a solution but there was nothing that would work quite right. Ashley wasn't satisfied with 'making something work' and asked me if I'd let her make it custom, to match my wife's ring. Noting my "must haves," we spent the next hour or so developing a concept ring. She thanked me for trusting her with such a daunting task. A few days before our anniversary, I received a call that the rings were completed and went to Linden's to pick it up from Ashley. It was jaw-droppingly beautiful. The level of detail and care that she incorporated into the new ring, while making the original look brand new, was absolutely incredible. It is obvious that she takes pride in her work and is very skilled at jewelry making. She took that special care to make sure everything was perfect. I tried so hard to hold out until our anniversary to give the rings to my wife, but I just couldn't. I gave in early and surprised her with it. When she opened the box, she was speechless. She tried it on and it fit perfectly. We were both awed by how beautiful it was. Since then, her friends and family have be gushing over it. Even the occasional checkout lady at the store will pause and compliment her on it. Even if you're not looking for wedding rings, she has a great assortment of custom made pieces and all sorts of other tasteful jewelry and accessories. Additionally, the shop is conveniently located fairly close to Bentonville, just a couple of miles off of I-49 (US-71) in Bella Vista. After my mom passed away, I had several pieces of inexpensive jewelry from her, my grandmother and my great grandmother. I brought them to Ashley, the owner, and asked her if she could use the gold and diamonds to make me one pretty keepsake. As a first time customer, I was extremely disappointed in the service I received. I dropped off my ring for repairs on Saturday the 24th. Understandably there was not a jeweler in house that Day, but I received an estimate for expected repairs. On The afternoon on Monday the 2nd, I received a call about 20 minutes before they closed for the day with a voicemail from Ashley that she found more necessary repairs. I was unable to reach them back that day because they were closed, so when I received a call the following morning, the girl first told me my ring was ready. Then retracted and asked if I'd spoken with Ashley. After being on hold about 3 minutes, she returned to tell me Ashley would call me back. Two hours later I got the call explaining that the additional repairs would cost me about 4 times the original quote. I don't doubt that those repairs were necessary, but am extremely disappointed that it took 9 days for anyone to even look at my ring, when I was originally told that repairs take a week to week and half to complete. It should not have taken 9 days for anyone to look at the ring. Needless to say I picked it up, and will not return as a customer. EVER! read more

Took my watch in a year ago to have the movement fixed. Their watch guy comes once a week and the turn around time is about that long. Come to find out my watch needed a new quartz movement, so I thought $60 was a fair price to repair. I have several watches so after this one was fixed it was placed in a watch carrier for the better part of 10 months. I started wearing the watch this August (2015) and noticed the time was off horribly, like 15 minutes slow throughout the day. I changed the battery thinking that was the issue, but the problem persisted. I took my watch back to Lindens about 2 days before the "1 year warranty" was up. Today I picked up my watch and was charged $15 to fix "bent hands and tighten screws". I'm not a watch serviceman, but how could the hands be bent by my fault if the last one that was in the watch case was the watch repairman? The lady at the desk told me that "sometimes when you get your car tuned up they only fix what you say is wrong." I think I will find a new person to repair my watches from now on, I think this one should have been on the watch repairman, not me! The staff is nice, I just think this could have been handled differently. read more
