Two of the keys I needed (mail key and front building key) were not provided. This led to my being locked out and having to break into my apartment the first week I moved in because no one was returning my call. It took over a week to get the key I needed which meant multiple nights where I had to stay with friends because I could not access the outer building door to get to my apartment. 2. My oven was discovered to be non functioning pretty quickly after I moved in. When I raised this via a maintenance request, someone came out to look at the oven and confirmed it was a manufacturing error and a new oven was needed. Over a month later, when I still hadn't heard anything about the new oven I submitted a second maintenance request (having noticed the first was marked 'resolved' at which point I was told they would need to come out and look at the oven. I alerted them that this had already been done a month prior, and I was waiting for the replacement oven at which point they finally took action. I initially raised this issue on August 2nd, the day after my lease began, and the oven was finally installed on September 27th. 3. Initially when viewing the apartment I asked about laundry as I had been living in an apartment with in-unit W/D. Santina clearly stated that while there wasn't currently laundry, that they were setting up communal laundry for the tenants and that this would be setup within the next 90 days. Today, when I reached out to confirm when that would be (as I have been spending copious amounts of time and money doing laundry in other ways), I was told that I in fact was NOT told there would be laundry, and that it was only a possibility. Further, Santina adds that there will not in fact be laundry. If I had the money to break my lease and leave I would. Paloma Properties purports themselves to be a new age, all encompassing management company that takes care of their tenants, and this has been far from true. Every time I have needed something I've been given the runaround and even lied to. A warning for those considering a Paloma apartment - DONT MOVE INTO A PALOMA PROPERTY!

He gave me THE BEST walkthrough when looking at apartments and was very honest about Linden Lofts versus other nearby apartments. I absolutely felt safe whatever time I came home because of the extra mile he goes with security there. No issues with bugs or things broken in the entertainment room/grilling area. The best was having Amazon packages delivered to your door. Everyone that works there is beyond friendly. Sad to have left but I'd say the best one bedroom apartments to move into in Long Beach. While the complex looks great on the outside, the actual quality of life and security here is incredibly poor for what you pay. Cars are being stolen straight out of the carports and management frequently sends emails about break-ins. Meanwhile, the security gates are regularly broken and left wide open all night. On top of the safety issues, advertised amenities like the laundry facilities have been completely broken for months. Management prioritizes cosmetics over basic resident safety and maintenance. The high rent is absolutely not worth the constant stress. Look elsewhere.

The pool and jacuzzi are also nice places to hang in the summer. It's a plus living next to costco especially now that they have gas. The negatives: Management is noooo help! I've called and talked to them before and they are rude and push the problems around or blame us. The gym needs updated equipment. Outgoing mail needs to be more secure.. My mail has been stolen before. Also the security is a rare drive by and various wArnings left by email or on your car. I could do without that especially with what we pay. Overall it is a great place for temporary living but I would not settle down here

We have owned here for many, many years and have nothing but good stuff to say:…read more So wonderful to live in a private community and to have access to the club house, tennis courts, pool, gym, tons of trees/beautiful landscaping on private roads, a dog friendly environment, and to feel safe walking around day or night. All areas are very clean and well kept. There are always improvements on the calendar for areas that may be in need us homeowners can attend all meetings to voice suggestions. Most recent improvements were done on the pool decking, newly topped tennis courts, new roofs, and interior ourdoor flooring for resurfacing. All is done while keeping the HOA dues very low at $ 425 a month with a special assessment of $100 /mo ending in 2016. The front gate has a 24/7 attendant (not security guard) to ensure proper access of cars into the community. The management company and the volunteers on the board for our association are wonderful! If one has a concern one can just email the management company and it will be taken care of. The patrol drive-by is to make sure all parked in the community has a valid pass or sticker and one will be notified before towing to obtain proper parking. If the patrol drive by notices any foul play the Signal Hill police will be called as they are just patrol cars and not police officers. Happy homeowner at Willowridge :)

I was looking to see another unit in the building but she found me one that was about $200 cheaper and 20 sq/ft larger with a patio as well. She did warn me that someone reserved it already and that she had to give them a fair shot at locking it down before I could take it. The moment that deal fell through with the other person, she contacted me right away to offer it to me. She helped me lock it down quickly before someone else did by having me apply for another unit so that I was already in the system ready to go. She could have easily just put me in the more expensive unit and quickly rented out the other one. However, she was really looking out for me from the get go. Thank you Whittington! Lucas was also great, he set me up with all the information I needed to process my application quickly. He was patient with me when I had multiple questions and some hang up's on my end. He helped guide me through the process and made sure I was informed along the way. Whittington and Lucas worked together as a team to get me a terrific apartment for a great price. They were both professional through and through. If you're lucky enough to find an empty unit in this building, call or go online and set up an appointment to come down in person so they can show you around!

Buyer Beware…read more.. Management & Roaches Be very careful. The units look great, but management is entirely reactive. They moved me into a roach-infested unit, and getting out was a major headache which they made me pay for. My second unit had dogs barking non-stop for months. Despite repeated requests, management did nothing until I used the courts as leverage. Their "fix" was letting me break my lease rather than addressing the noisy neighbor. The $732 Deposit Battle I had to win a Small Claims lawsuit to finally get my deposit back. Again, bad communication. I eventually had to physically go back and pick up the original 4-month-old check myself. Noise & Building Quality Noise was a dealbreaker for me. You'll hear neighbors above and below due to poor insulation, and the heating system reverberates loudly in winter. Outside, noise from the nearby gym and bars carries straight into the units. Safety & Sanitation The building exterior is unsanitary, specifically the garage, stairwells, and elevator. Accessing the garage requires using an alley that reeks of urine and is constantly occupied by homeless people, the mentally ill, and drug addicts. Bottom Line Nice-looking units, but you're on your own. Be prepared to advocate for yourself or sue if you want basic results.
