I love Mexican food and I'm always on the hunt for great spots, so I came into Lindo Michoacán in Santa Ana genuinely excited. Left feeling pretty mixed about it. I ordered the menudo, mole con pollo, pozole, horchata, tamarindo, and agua fresca basically went all in. Let's start with the good: the pozole was spectacular, and the horchata was excellent. Would not change a thing about either of those. The tamarindo agua fresca was also a nice touch our server even let us sample the drinks before ordering, which was a great experience. Now for the not so great. The menudo was unfortunately a miss for us. The tripe had a very strong smell that made the whole experience pretty off-putting, and the quality just wasn't there. I'll also say it did not sit well with me afterward, so that's worth keeping in mind. The mole con pollo was just okay, but the portion size made it hard to justify. You get two small pieces of chicken leg with rice and beans it felt more like a side of chicken than an actual entrée. On a positive note, the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout. The wait wasn't too bad, and everything was packaged really well to go nothing spilled, which is always appreciated. Overall, I'd come back just for the pozole and horchata, but I'd skip the menudo and probably explore other entrée options next time read more

First time here. Saw a lot of Tik Toks about the menudo and drove here asap when the craving hit. It's 16.99 for a regular size and 18.99 for a large. Also got a huaraches to share with my baby and we both loved it. We came at 11am and it was already pretty full bc it's not very big inside. FYI! read more

They are aggressive with their answers #2 location I come too and the older the meaner I'm not rude & don't expect top service but it wouldn't kill to be kind. I come here almost every week, and the water and cash receptionist Roberto is always really welcoming, super nice & respectful. He doesn't rush you, if anything he is really patient. The food is always a 10/10. The service is really good. The cookers are awesome & make the food absolutely delicious. The place is remodeled, it's always really clean. I've tried the horchata, chilaquiles and the menudo, the chilaquiles were good definitely would of liked a little more spice but overall good, horchata was a 10/10, now the menudo was ok definitely a miss for us, very strong smell and I would of liked to think that for to go orders they give you handmade tortillas they don't I guess it's only if you eat there, as well as chile oil there is an extra charge of $1 for to go orders and it's free if you eat there, I believe the cashiers name was Teresa was rude and didn't have patience as there was a line on a Saturday morning. This small eatery is located within a strip mall. They have a larger eatery in Anaheim. They serve menudo daily. Here, the menudo does not smell rancid or gamey like other eateries. Menudo is a traditional Mexican soup, made with cow's stomach (tripe) in broth with a red chili pepper base. The eatery has recently been renovated and there is a metal rack under the table to hang your respective ladies bag or bags. There is a small bowl of red peppers and loose oregano on the table. My friend thought their breaded shrimp or camarones empanizados were not seasoned enough. My waiter/server/cashier was a nice gentleman who worked alone but tirelessly took orders, cleaned tables, and served everyone. They need more staff to work the Sunday evening shift. I think the owners can afford since the eatery has been established since 1976 (my opinion). There is a outside list where you can put your name and size of your party. I enjoyed my fish tacos but order them without cheese if you are lactose intolerant. I like their thick homemade tortillas. The eatery does not serve free complimentary chips and salsa. You have to pay for it. The chips are delicious but you are given a tiny container about the size of cone shaped tea light holder (my opinion). I will definitely be back. read more

This spot has some of the best menudo in all of Orange County - rich, flavorful broth, tender meat, and all the right toppings. If I was rating only the food, it would easily be a 5‑star place. Unfortunately, the service really brings the experience down: the staff can be slow and not very attentive, and it doesn't match how good the food is. I still come back for the menudo, but I really hope they step up their customer service to match the quality coming out of the kitchen. read more
