Opening day @ the pumpkin show with the fam, Lindsey's is a must stop .. Made it to the bakery and yes there was a line, duhhh..lined moved fairly quickly (15 min), once inside they had the world's largest pumpkin pie (great photo op!), many excellent choices but I had one thing on my mind Pumpkin Donuts!!! Which is the reason for the lines outside this little gem of a donut shop...ordered a box of dozen pumpkin donuts with a coffee (delicious)and found a nice little table across the street to enjoy my donuts and coffee...The donuts were awesome!! Slight glaze on the donut, but the actual donut tasted like a luscious cake, with a slight orange color - bomb!!!! And they are even better when you take them home and heat them up!!! OMG, so get a few extra for home as a treat...you won't be sorry..do yourself a favor and get there for the pumpkin donuts at the Pumpkins Fest or anytime, they truly are a treat!! read more

By far the rudest employees we have ever had the displeasure of encountering. We have come for years for the thumbprint cookies, and despite following all of their "suggestions" for arriving early, calling ahead, and being patient, we arrived to the Pumpkin Show disappointed. They kept saying that they didn't plan ahead accordingly and didn't have the materials to make it, like they have for a few years now. You'd think they'd learn eventually that planning ahead is half the battle. Normally, we wouldn't make a stink about some missed cookies, but their attitudes about the lack of them was what iced the cake. No apologies, no suggestions for anything else, and just an "I really don't care" attitude. We are a VERY numerous family, and we WILL be telling our friends about the disgusting customer service. read more

Lindsey's Bakery is a common stop for those that visit the Circleville Pumpkin Show. I stop here every year at the show to get the wonderful pumpkin donuts. While I know they're available year round. Something about getting them during the show males them better. These donuts are so moist and tasty that they don't last long in my house. They are even great when they start to dey out after a few days! The bakery also carries other wonderful coomoea and pastries. The best cake donuts you can find in the state of Ohio, or for that matter, anywhere else in the US! Always fresh and always excellent. The only thing that I would steer clear is the cupcakes and cakes. The icing is far too sweet and doesn't complement the vanilla cake. I have been going here since I was a kid. The owners need to start respecting the quality of their food, and worry less about profit. Today I bought thumb print cookies, I asked if they were fresh, but they were very stale and hard. They belonged in the trash not in a customers hands. Last year my wife saw the owner at big lots buying lots of cake mixes. It was graduation time and I know that they are busy, but we had ordered a birthday cake and it tasted like a cheap box mix, not their normal cake (our family buys 5-6 per year). I can't say for sure, but strange that the owner was seen buying cake mixes a few days before and our cake tasted like a cheap cake mix. If their food is fresh, it is good, but unless you are ready to put up with inconsistent quality, I would stay clear read more

I come from a small town in Massachusetts, where all the local bakeries were shut down years ago and replaced with Dunkin Donuts and Tim Horton's. Thus, Lindsey's was a welcome surprise. Our first time to Lindsey's was a fabulous experience!!!! The staff were very pleasant and generous. They let us sample a donut before we bought several because we had never had them before. I was born in Ohio and now live in Idaho for the past forty years. I have ate there cream horns sense I can remember . I always get me a couple when I go back home to Ohio . I love taking a picture and bragging to my friends on facebook about my cream horn. They don't not have a place any where in Idaho that I know of that can beat Lindseys . For these yummy donuts be prepared to stand in line especially if you want to go into the bakery. They did have a small cart set up in front of the bakery that had just the pumpkin donuts, pumpkin pie, and thumbprint cookies. You will still have to line up but not as long as the bakery building. read more
