We contacted the Boca Raton, Florida location of Lowe's Cleaning Services, to have our air ducts…read morecleaned which was done on February 20, 2024. Upon arrival, the tech informed us that he would be joined by a colleague of his, who was "in training" and it was his first day, or thereabouts, on the job. As part of the process, they took off all the air vent covers and washed them outside. After completion of the job we noticed later that one of the vent covers was scuffed up, and upon further inspection, we noticed that all ten of them were scuffed up, and that the finish had come off. We contacted a manager of the company who advised us that there was nothing they could do and that the water must have caused it, "which rarely happens," and that we could paint them. We then told him that in our opinion the "tech in training" used a nozzle that had too much pressure on it and was placed too close to the covers which caused this. Furthermore, we told him that neither tech ever mentioned to us that this happened at all, yet surely the tech washing them must have seen that the finish came off upon washing them, yet instead of stopping after seeing what happened to ask us if they should continue, he continued with the process. According to another company we contacted to see what their opinion was on the finish that came off, we were told it should not have happened. We paid a total of $568.00 and requested a partial refund of $250.00 which would have only covered part of the cost of either painting or replacing the 10 vents. Please note that this company has a 100% customer satisfaction policy on their website, yet they refused to compensate us and/or make any attempt to make things right. They also ignored the complaint we filed with the Better Business Bureau and all communication from them. Also, as a side note, the tech arrived in a white van which had no logo on it, and neither tech was wearing a uniform, contrary to what is shown on their website. In conclusion, this company does not honor their 100% customer satisfaction policy, or try to make things right, which is totally unprofessional; and as such, I do not recommend them.

I've had a bunch of issues with my a/c unit spanning back for the last year. I wasn't thrilled with…read moremy other servicer (who happened to go out of business) so I gave Eskimo a call. Couldn't get a tech out in the evening even though advertised as 24 hour. Understandable though. The next day I have an "after hours" visit at 5:00 to have a tech come check out my HVAC unit. I'm told there is a freon leak in the coils and I need freon added. $400 later for two pounds of freon...that's fine. I expected to pay a decent amount for after hours. I ask for a quote for a new unit to get the ball rolling and rid myself of the headache that has been my old unit. The quote comes rolling in...about 2 grand more than any other estimate I've gotten from numerous other qualified and reputable companies. $5200 for a basic 14 SEER rated unit for a small town home. Unbelievable. I've had other quotes for $4200, 3750, and $3200. Amazing the differences across the board. When I emailed Damien to discuss the rationale for the high number I was given a dismissive response. No explanation or counter offer. Stupid me for trying to give them a second chance. Really disappointed in their lack of professionalism. I find it disappointing when rumors of shadiness hold true.

The phone apointment process was smooth. The customer service was good. The day of the service. The service person was professional. He told me what to expect with the unit if I didn't get some things done. He gave me different options and later on I was sent an email with quote. Everything was very professional. I had some questions. I called back the company. They were answered and I felt better. I liked the company. I read some of the negative reviews. I was a little nervous. They have seemed to work things out. The service was good and I felt i got my moneys worth.

Get the maintenance plan they have to secure your family and your home in the heat of South Florida. Over time, I bought attachments like a UV light, air scrubber and surge protector for the condenser. All of those gadgets transferred to my new unit. They have financing available for new systems and will work with you when you need help.
