We have been using this company for quite a few years now, and they have consistently been amazing. When it was time to replace our unit, we purchased our new system from them, and even with all the supply chain issues at the time, we only had to wait a few days. That kind of service is hard to beat. Of course, this past weekend our air conditioning decided to stop working, because apparently AC units only break on weekends and holidays! This is a great company who stands by their work. My AC went down and I called to get service. They let me know the repair was still under warranty since my system was about 9 years old. They took care of it at a great price. Later that week the air stopped blowing cool. I called them and they were out here within the hour to investigate. They found a leak in the freon line and ended up taking care of everything free of charge. Four weeks ago, I wrote a rather negative review of Ewing & Ewing Air Conditioning on the heels of a pretty miserable 3-week wait for a repair amidst a Florida summer heat wave (upper 90's through most of the wait). That context alone would have made for a pretty uncomfortable wait, but some basic (in my view) customer service failures made my experience more stress than solution (or so it seemed). While that remains a pretty 1-star three weeks, I am happy to report Ewing & Ewing Air Conditioning has not behaved like any one-star company since then. Previously I had said how sad it was that customer good will could so quickly be eroded. The converse proves equally true. Good will can be repaired, too, and maybe quicker than we think. Since I posted almost a month ago now, Ewing & Ewing Air Conditioning has reached out to me (by my count) at least four times (including an impromptu conversation with my technician today) to better understand where I was let down and what they could do to fix it. In addition, my AC drain coincidentally developed a slowly growing clog in that time too. It was slight enough at first, I mistakenly assumed it was from the washing machine but I couldn't find a leak. As the amount of water flooding the laundry room increased, it became obvious the source was under the air handler. This time when I called (yesterday), I was immediately put into the schedule for an appointment this morning. Jonathan arrived right on time, got the clog cleared, and the laundry room floor is still dry (yesterday I mopped it at least 4 times by this time of day). Responsive, prompt, effective. We seem to be back to what I had experienced from Ewing & Ewing Air Conditioning prior to - ahem - "that time". We seem to be getting back on track again. So, in the interest of our rediscovered good faith, let me offer the following slightly humorous (I hope) suggestions in open letter form (for any business, really) How to maintain (or quickly regain) Keith's Customer Good Will* *(hopefully I'm not that weird - but I might be, so these aren't guaranteed to apply to every customer): Communicate, communicate, communicate! Practically everything that made the situation worse for me than it had to be boils down to effective communication: what's useful to me and what's not, how to get the info through to me, etc. Hopefully, these suggestions will help. 1. There really is no bad news to deliver (unless you're telling me you quit on me). I don't want to fall off your radar is all. I know there's no such thing as falling off your radar. And you know what I'm talking about is feeling like I've fallen off the radar. That feeling arises when I have no evidence of the actions you are taking to solve the problem I brought to you. Corollary to #1 - If I repeatedly or routinely have to be the one to call YOU to get a progress report, I will feel I am near falling off the radar. 2. It's action, not obstacle, that solves the problem I brought you. So I'm most interested in steps you're taking. Don't just tell me there is an obstacle in the way and leave it at that. Corollaries to #2 : A. Guesstimates are welcome, please don't avoid giving me one, particularly if I've asked for it. Among other things it really helps me set where my panic button and irritation flashpoints are set. If I can know, that a backorder delay has been known to be up to 3 weeks, say, trust me I'm not that irritated at the 3 week mark. If you happen to not be knowledgeable enough to make a reasonable guesstimate, please be knowledgeable about who to ask or bring to the phone. B. Use more than one avenue of communication. I am one of those rare birds (I suspect) that currently is more attentive to my email inbox than to my telephone inbox. In large part because of -ahem- "that time", I am reworking that balance. But in the meantime it might be useful to you to know that some form of email update option might be a more effective communication tool (for me, at present anyway) than telephone or voicemail. That preference fluctuates with time, too, unfortunately. Finally, on a very serious note and in the interest of accountability, I want to say that I deeply regret mentioning an employee of Ewing & Ewing Air Conditioning by name in the previous version of this review, toward whom I had directed some rather harsh criticism. I should never have done that, particularly in such a public forum. To R: I sincerely apologize to you for my action and for any negative reaction you may have received from anyone regarding my review. I have been a Ewing and Ewing customer for a few years now and always have been very impressed with the professional level of service we have received on a consistent basis. We were originally draw to them based on Yelp reviews and we did not go wrong. They offer an annual service contract for $200 that provides two maintenance services per year and 20% off any other services they provide. Living in Florida, a good working A/C unit is a MUST not just a luxury. Ewing and Ewing's service plan was a no brainer and has no doubt paid for itself over time. This week I notice a dripping sound coming from my air handler and upon examination discovers water in my drip pan and the air filter soaking wet. It was 4:30pm but upon calling Ewing and Ewing, I spoke with J.R. who advised that he would send his technician Luke right over. Luke arrived in less than a hour an immediately got to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem an a clogged drip line, explained the service he was going to provide and quickly repaired the unit. Luke was friendly, professional and showed real concern that we were happy with the service provided. If your looking for an A/C company you can trust to handle all your air conditioning needs, you simply cannot go wrong with Ewing and Ewing....J.R. and crew are the BEST in the business! read more

Quality customer service and thorough work! I called Ewing & Ewing to do emergent re-work/repairs as a result of my last HVAC tech, who failed to notice a failing txv valve, as well as what I later discovered, a leak at a brazed joint of pipe. JR in the office made it a priority ticket and I had a technician do the repair the same morning that the replacement valve came in. The tech replaced the valve and took on the extra work of replacing the pipe that was leaking that he discovered same day. JR was super helpful, as much as I hounded him for updates on shipping and and installation info he said patient and gave me updates as he had them. My techinician, who I forgot his name (sorry!) was great and able to take care of the rest of the repair in my place. He was able to give me quick status updates via text when I asked for them.
