My husband and I hired Lion Locksmiths (Adam) when we needed locks changed out in a new residence. He came, looked at what we wanted, told us the two locks we had already purchased were not good locks, and then quoted a price. We agreed because we wanted it done right away, so he went and bought the locks he needed and started to change them out. I left my husband at home while Adam worked. When I returned, I could hear Adam through the window talking loudly to my husband about inappropriate "man stuff". When I entered the home, he immediately shut up. When I looked at what had been done, I found out that he had used one of the two locks I had previously purchased. I had intended to return the locks for a refund since Adam bought all new locks. When I mentioned to him that he should reduce our price since he used our lock instead of the one he bought, he got defensive and told me that he could have gone back to purchase a new lock and then charged me more. He was also very argumentative when I pointed out the one of the dead bolts locks was difficult to turn and said it was because of the door. I also found out that he only changed the insides of the locks and left us with all the same rusty-looking old lock coverings that we originally had while he threw away all the rest of the hardware that he was charging us for. Overall, I would not recommend this company/person to do work for anyone. I think he did a poor job, he overcharged us, and he gave me bad attitude. read more

My lock works but after two revisits, it still sticks. My superintendent says it is defective. The guy at this company says it will loosen up. Six months later, it sticks. The first knob faceplate crackled and they blamed it on the painters assuming they used a harsh product to clean it. They were very professional and replaced it. The new one has crackled too and no cleaning products have been used. One of the screws is too short or stripped and not functional. They didn't fix/replace on any of their revisits when asked. read more

Adam went above and beyond for me today! I had a handle on a vinyl French door that was damaged during a break in. The manufacturer couldn't get me a replacement part in any reasonable amount of time, if at all. Adam figured out a way to repair the handle so that it would be functional again. This included a trip to a hardware store, caught in traffic, and quite a bit of time to work up a solution - all in the same day. I also had him rekey our front door for us. The cost was very reasonable considering all the time and effort he spent helping me out. What a delightful Experience! Recently I had the occasion to need the services of a locksmith. I returned my mother home to her condo after a trip to the ER and found her front door could not be opened due to its faulty lock. My husband placed a call to Adam and requested assistance. Had a large safe with a lost combination. Called 3 locksmiths each of whom told me that the only way to open the safe would require the destruction of the lock rendering the safe useless. Adam at Lion said that he thought that he could open the safe and arrived within 30 minutes. He was very profession and polite and was able to open the safe in less than half an hour.
