I am grateful to have my apartment unlocked but I give 3 stars because I find the price very steep. For about a 10 minute interaction I was charged $182. The locksmith who came to work on my door fiddled with it for about 5 minutes and seemed to be struggling. I told him my balcony door is actually open and if he had a ladder, that would be great. So he ended up going through my backdoor to open my front door. Altogether, a very short interaction and not much locksmith work but $182. He said because it was Sunday so it cost more but I think if I had more battery charge on my phone I would've found a better deal or way to get myself in. I suggest getting a quote first (I wish I did) before committing. Looking at other reviews, the price seemed more affordable and consistent with the service so I'm not sure if prices have changed recently. But my price seemed unreasonable and I can't understand the breakdown of that rate. I suggest to avoid this company. This company is tricky. My tenant if my rental called their bedroom gets locked up (the lock is $10 lock from Homedepot. I initiated 3 quotes through yelp. This guy replied the cheapest price, $40 unlock for most lock. The next lowest will be $79 for unlock and rekey. The highest was $105. I called this lion company, and they told me $20 trip charge. I figured it is fine then because it will be still cheaper than others. When he arrived, he told me to unlock is $60! To rekey the lock will be another $30. Since my tenant is rushing to get access to the bedroom, I told him just unlock it. The guy keeps trying to convince me to rekey the lock also. I told him please unlock the lock and take my $80 and go. Bad experience, but it is fine. I would not suggest this company. read more

On a shopping spree to plaza Bonita I come to my car and all of a sudden my key did not lock my car manually so I was kinda fuckd I decided to look on Craigslist for an afforadable locksmith. The locksmith who came out was also a great big help ADAM charged me $65 for opening the car and also checking my car panel. He hooked me up thank you! I came home one night and unlocked the door from my garage to my house. The key ended up getting stuck in the lock. After trying many times to get the key out of the lock, I decided to leave it and deal with it the next day. Since, it wasn't the front door of the house, I wasn't too worried. The next morning I tried again to get the key out of the lock and just my luck the key broke off in the lock. At this point I knew I had to call a locksmith. Based on a friend's recommendation, I called Lion Locksmiths. I explained the situation and said that they could be there in the next hour to fix it. Adam arrived earlier than he stated, which was great! He is super professional and knowledgeable. He took the lock apart and was able to get the piece of the key out, but I also ended up needing a new lock because of how the key broke. He was able to get me one that was the same as the original. He installed and re-keyed the new lock to the original key. He even threw in an extra copy at no charge. I value this company's professionalism, knowledge, and really meeting the customers needs. Wow , these guys are amazing. I called adam around 9pm on a friday night cause I had a flight to catch the next morning but my gun safe was not opening. With the passports and money inside I was in a bind. He came out to my place within 15 minutes. We tried the combo multiple times together but it would not work. He drilled my 1000$ gun safe in less than an hour and it still totally works! He even repaired it after. He even showed me the fault and recommended i return the safe to the manufacturer for the warranty . Adam is a TRUE PRO! Super fair/low prices(even tipped him cause he's such a cool guy).
