Amazing addition to the neighborhood. We were patiently waiting for this place to open after a long wait. The space is amazing, with indoor seating and a great backyard space. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the beer. Most importantly, the beer is delicious with a nice rotating draft list of newly brewed beer. You are able to bring your own food which makes it great for a dinner and drinks spot as well. Lions Roar has been a welcomed addition to Westfield and I can't wait to see them grow in the future. read more

Really rooting for this place as it's a great local addition to what's basically a dry town and I hope they work out the supply / demand kinks. Cool interior, nice outdoor area, service was spot on, and Trippel Belgium is great. I hope good things for LRB because I would love to have a nice place to go and enjoy a beer. The selection is limited but adequate but like many other microbreweries, they are still trying to find their legs which is ok. Location couldn't be better with ample parking around the corner. But this is where the Lord will come down upon thee. U can't charge $19 for 2 drafts. You need to have some type of happy hour. You need to get a crowd in there. Whatever is being tried isn't working. You don't even know if the place is open when you drive by. read more

I visit during off peak hours. Friendly and helpful staff. I had a nice American IPA Small place but not cramped. Too chilly to sit in the covered beer garden but I do recommend because the beers are good. No food. Located on a NJ roundabout. . Food Deliveries are fine. NJ brewery regs are strict. ‍. So excited to have a place like Lion's Roar in the Union County area! Great atmosphere and such a friendly and attentive staff. We had some not-as-seasoned beer drinkers in our group, and the staff was super patient and helpful in explaining their beers and figuring out what everyone would like. The place catches your eye right away from the road, and the tap room and main room do not disappoint from the inside as well. Roomy and comfortable, and perfect for any age group looking for a night out at a modern but inviting place. The outdoor biergarten is great as well, with heaters for the winter weather. Can't wait to check it out during the warmer months! I recommend the "Toolbox Day" American IPA, but also really enjoyed the "Is It Summer Yet?" The place is nice (outside seating is pretty cool), beertenders are pleasant and get the job done. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. The beer is, for a lack of description, horrible. One would think that for the time it took to open the place up, the beer would at least be good. Went here for a little night-cap after date night with my husband. Beer was all very good! (....I got a flight). It is reservation only right now because of COVID, for both inside and outside (with heat lamps) seating. This is actually nice because you know you will be seated and have a great time. Also- you can bring whatever food and games you want. We came from dinner so we didn't bring any food but I would suggest some snacks or every a full meal! Came here with some friends to kick off Oktoberfest. The inside seemed to be closed so it was just the outdoor section that had self-seating with high tops and you go in and order drinks. You can also order or bring food with you. Overall it was a fun vibe. It was sometimes hard to find a seat, I think they should maybe have some more stools out there. Very nice brewery in downtown! So happy we have one in the neighborhood where we can just go and relax for little while. The beers were great too. It looks small from the outside but they have decent amount of seating arrangements despite the social distancing measures. They even have outside seating arrangement. We agreed to move our seat to accommodate a family with a baby on a stroller and the staff gave us a free drink as a surprise. We were very impressed by the kind gesture. Staff is friendly too. Overall, quite impressed and we will certainly be back here again. I also like the fact that you can bring your own food. It's a great option to have! read more

Love, love, love this Southside business. I'm no beer connoisseur but I enjoy the various options and sizes of drinks. Everything I've had - lagers, IPA, hard seltzers all were very good. I like to start with a pint or flight and finish with a smaller size drink - it's a nice option. Staff is wonderful. Very friendly and they take pride in keeping the place clean and enjoyable for all. I like both the outside area and inside, depending on what sports are on TV. The outdoor heaters are a plus and my dog is welcome on Wednesdays. Fun place to see a band, play trivia, etc. I've also been there for private events - great venue for that. You can bring your own food and there are lots of local delivery places. I find the prices reasonable. On some weekend days there are a lot of kids - not my cup of tea now but when I was younger I probably would have been there with my kid in a stroller. If that's not your jam, evenings are adults only. Something for everyone. Hope this place stays around for a long time. read more

Great locally brewed beer with a variety of revolving selections. I enjoyed the Station Ale the best. They offer 4oz flights which makes it easy to get a sampling. They have a craft brewery license which means they don't serve food, but Westfield offers a wide variety of restaurants nearby (make sure you bring plates and utensils).
