When I went there we needed an ID and birth certificate and we forgot the certificate so we had to go back home. Before we left we asked the piercer what time she closed and she said 7:30. It was 4:50 when we left to get the certificate, and we went home got the certificate then headed back. It was 5:25 when we got back and apparently she had closed up and gone home even after she knew we were headed back to get the piercing. The piercings themselves are well done, she was informative when I asked about the piercing and which type of jewelry I should use. As well, my sister has gotten her eyebrows done here and they were done well. This experience was just very inconveniencing as we had to go there, go back, then go there again. I would recommend this place if you go earlier in the day, so there is no chance of them closing up early. read more

Holy crap! The easiest way to see whether or not you are an artist is to get something tattooed on you. Forever. I just finished the third session in a series of one whole piece. I am not an artist, For months I have had outlines and then some shading and fill in, but never saw the full picture. Devin is my artist exclusively; I have waited to get multiple pieces done by him and he gets me. And my ideas/theme. I came in a long time ago with a shit-ton of images to get the concept. He put together a sketch (in of itself is art) and I have gone in and got it started. Today, in its' fainality, I could not be more impressed! Awesome is an understatement. I learned about Liquid Courage because I was part of an adult rec hockey league here in Omaha. I was told that if I was going to have any ink done I had to go and see Devin at Liquid Courage. I met Devin finally one night at a drop-in/pick-up hockey game and asked Devin if he would be able to fix the mistake from seeing a newer artist at Hart & Huntington in Las Vegas a few years back and Devin said no problem. I finally was able to work it out with Devin to stop by Liquid Courage on August 14th while my children were in school. I arrived just prior to my 12:00 pm appointment and proceeded to fill out the paper work required and before I knew it Devin was at work on my Chicago Cubs tattoo. There was lively discussion through out the time that I was there and before I realized it Devin asked me to take a look at how the ink now looked. I was very happy to say the least. The tattoo did not look like it was faded away like it had since originally getting it. I have been so happy to know that my Cubs tattoo looks the way it should have always looked when I originally got it. Now I just have to get my wife to agree to allow me to add my Chicago Bulls and the 2014-15 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks logos with my Cubs and Chicago Bears tattoos. I posted a picture on Facebook and will advise that if you live in Omaha or you're going to visit Omaha you need to see Devin. Liquid Courage only does work by appointment and is usually booked well in advance. If you are able to catch Devin at his 2nd shop Sailor's Grave in the Community of Benson Maple Street at roughly 61st street, things are on a first come first served basis. I high recommend if you're going to Sailor's Grave that you get there one hour prior to the 12:00 pm opening or be prepared to wait for a while. Thanks Devin!!!!! I got both of mine here, and after seeing some friends get tattoos from other places, I've got to say I'm glad I went where I did. I did my homework before deciding on this shop, and it paid off. Everyone here is friendly and polite, great customer service skills. All of the artists have good portfolios. You're going to get a great tattoo no matter which artist you see. No jerk attitudes from anyone, not even from the customers. I haven't seen a jerk attitude out of anyone in the shop, not even the day I was being nosy with my camera. One day I had an assignment for school in which I had to photograph a whole bunch of one thing, so I chose tattoo iconography. I asked Liquid Courage if I could take pictures around the shop for my assignment and they had nothing to hide. They let me be totally nosy with my camera. Every room was clean and respectable. So far I have 2 tattoos from Dave (they were cover-ups) and one from De La Rosa, but I went over to Sailor's Grave to get them because I suck at patience and I didn't want to wait for an appointment. So if you're like me and you don't want to wait for an appointment, try stopping by their sister shop Sailor's Grave in Benson. It's all the same artists, two artists at a time on a rotation, but they are all walk-ins not appointments. If you need something really big or complicated you might have to settle for making an appointment at Liquid Courage instead. But it can't hurt to drop by Sailor's Grave and ask the guys about the tat you're looking for. They might be able to whip something up for you right there on the spot. They also have a bunch of flash to pick from including Sailor Jerry. Sailor's Grave is also very clean and respectable. Everything is pretty much out in the open in that shop, they have nothing to hide there either. Of all the times I've hung around both locations, I've only ever seen happy customers and people coming back saying "You did a great job with this last time, can you do this other one too?" Some shops I've seen have artists with holier-than-thou attitudes, but not here. The atmosphere is great. As if those weren't enough good reasons (cleanliness, skill, friendliness) they also give back to the community. They participate in the annual Lash LaRue Toy Drive and give away tattoos in support of it. AND while you're at Liquid Courage, you can venture downstairs to a really nifty store called Tops. If you've never been, you have to go. They have all sorts of neat stuff and they get new stuff in on a regular basis. I don't know why you're still reading this, go! read more

I have had tattoos from Jason, Dave (Dup), and Fierto. I have very little artistic ability so each time I have came in with an idea all I can really do is explain to them what I want and they have drawn it up for me. I can't even begin to explain how happy I have been with all of the art work they have put together and then tattooed for me. You can definitely expect a wait for a few months but it is a product of their great work, so it is worth the wait! For my first somewhat large tattoo I chose Greg because I liked his work and he seemed like he had a lot of experience. I emailed him to see if I could set up an appointment and got no response. Waited a few weeks and emailed again to which he did respond telling me to come in for a consultation so I did. That as well as the actual tattoo appointment went fine, however after it healed there were a few lines that needed to be touched up. I emailed him over 6 times over the course of several months, called the shop twice, sent an Instagram DM and got not one response back. Literally was ignored and strung along for months. I should also mention that the lady that I talked to on the phone sounded like it was the biggest inconvenience of her life to have to talk to me and answer my questions. After me calling and talking to her for the second time (since I got no call back from Greg the first time even though I was told my info was passed on to him), she got annoyed and just told me to come in for yet another consultation. (Mind you this took place about a month ago and it seemed like they have since gotten a new girl at the front counter who was very nice.) I'm not sure why the consultation was needed though since Greg had already tattooed me and I also sent him pictures in the emails to him. Still though I came in and asked if he could just do the touch up then since it would take all of 5 mins or less. He said he "didn't have time" and that the soonest he could do it was 2 months out after he had already wasted 3 months of my time by not responding. Long story short I did end up getting my touch up, and just like I said it took less than 5 minutes. I will not be going back to LQ or to SG either. I was also planning on getting some piercings and a couple more tattoos in the future, but have taken my money and business elsewhere. I have a feeling that as a young woman who didn't have an extremely expensive tattoo, that I probably wasn't in Greg's usual customer demographic. Regardless, every customer deserves to be treated with respect, and with just some plain decency. If you want to feel like you're an inconvenience to them and want to practically beg them to do business with you, then go to Liquid Courage! read more

And what's really cool is each of them have a specialty, so there will always be someone who will be able to give you exactly what you were looking for, and more. The other thing that's great about Liquid Courage is that all of their tattoos are custom. No picking from flash on a wall. You'll get something no one else has.
