The ribs-10/10 fall off the bone seasoned well with some kind of green sauce at the bottom. The garlic shrimp- 10/10 in chili garlic oil with focaccia bread. Watermelon tomato salad- 10/10 feta cheese always takes the show! Beef sliders- 10/10 us just being greedy but so good. French fries- 9/10 decent portion! Blackened salmon- 8/10 compared to how flavorful the appetizer's were it made the salmon lack in taste. Something was missing but it was still good loved the coconut milk flavor in the jasmine rice! All in all 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Our server, Jaden, came over to the table right away to introduce himself, provide water, and ask if I wanted to get started with any drinks. I decided to wait for my friends to arrive, and while waiting, I took a look at the food and drink menu. Upon arrival of the two friends, we ordered cocktails first and then decided on food. I ordered the Pink Pony and later the cosmopolitan, and eggs benedict for breakfast. My meal was quite delicious and I finished every morsel on my plate. The poached eggs were done perfectly and I really enjoyed the potatos. We were seated in the interior dining room to the left of the entry and I did not check out the other interior areas of the restaurant, but I loved the Mid Century Modern / Palm Springs vibe. I especially loved the "fly fan" on each table to use because the bar behind where we were sitting was open to the outside. We did not have an issue with flies but the fans are a nice and considerate touch. Jaden provided excellent customer service, checking back as our drinks got low, and checking back on the food, which we all very much enjoyed. When we left there was some live music outside, but we did not stay as it was a pretty warm Sunday on 6/14/26, but I will most definitely return. I'm especially looking forward to returning in the evening when the weather gets a little cooler toward the end of summer. This is a really fun place, with great food and great service!

The wings had a good amount of chicken on them, tasted fresh, and we devoured them with no problem. The corned beef sliders tasted good, but could have used some more mustard....as it was a little dry. The mac and cheese was hot...but a little one note (authentic, because that area of the world is not known for spice. Sorry....dig at the UK ). The fish and chips were a disappointment. The batter was falling off and NOT crispy....and the fries were not memorable. So, basically, pick and choose....some goodies, some not so much. If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). They make sure that all of the TVs are on and tuned into the same game so that we can enjoy our favorite teams! Today was no exception. TV's tuned in which by the way, the reception is amazing, drinks ordered, food ordered, and let the games begin! The wait staff is super friendly, and definitely super busy. The bar is constantly turning out drinks for everyone as well as the people sitting around the bar. My Cosmo was good, I would've preferred for it to be a little bit stronger, but it was tasty anyway. This go round we ordered the fried green beans and the chicken strips. The fried green beans is one of those hidden items on the menu, but I think it's overlooked but it really shouldn't be. Yes I understand. It's a bar and people want whatever their perception of bar food is, but the green beans are tasty enough that they should be on your to try list. They're very lightly breaded and tasty. I would've preferred them to be a little bit more seasoned, but they come with a Thai chili dipping sauce that just works. The chicken strips are very thin, very lightly breaded, and while they're not my thing, other people like them. I just find the chicken to be really bland and kind of like cardboard. The bathrooms are clean, the entire bar is kept pretty clean and you can pretty much be assured that when you see yourself, it will be in a clean place. Fun sports bar, and if there's a particular team that you're intent on watching, chances are they will have other people there wanting to watch the same game, or better yet create your own watch party and have everybody join you at players sports pub!

I got the ribs, which came with amazing garlic bread and some fries. The ribs tasted great, although some of the bigger ribs were cold around the center. I didn't really mind because the portion size was so large. I'd recommend the food here, it's great bar food, and the wait wasn't even that bad despite the lack of staff.
