My wife and I love dive bars. If you love dive bars, you must go to Loree's in Citrus Heights. A good dive bar is always the hunt and after a few times we want to share. There are a few great ones in the area; Scott's Hideaway, Cinders ask for Blue, Cheaters, Cider Room for intimate dive, dark in a perfect way but Lorees good size bar many comfortable bar chairs. Ask for Johnnie's beef tacos. Fair price and their lobster tacos are great. The beef tacos are better than I explain not typical ground beef taco. Johnny long time community business owner with his wife Loree. People on both sides of the bar perfect for all dive bar occasions. Football and if you like pool, two perfectly located tables in side room and seating out front for starry nights. Karaoke weekends you will not be bored. We just walked in for karaoke and went to the bar, the bartender started throwing glasses and cussing and kicking the doors... we decided to wait and see if it would subside.. and then someone asked him something and he said "what the fuck do you want"... we left immediately. First and foremost, we love Lorees little Shack in general. Foods great, bartenders are great. We loved coming here for karaoke until tonight. Carly the KJ told my friend he had to pay her $5 for her to pull up a song on you tube because she didn't have it in her system. It takes 1 min to pull that up. Additionally , she skipped him so she could sing a song after she JUST sang a song two songs before. All KJs usually sing which is great, but the amount she sang while others are in line is ridiculous. It's not about you. You're providing a service to the public. First time here at this establishment, pretty grudge down with no maintenance or upkeep. No menu for drinks, but they do for food. And the type of food they have is finger foods. We tried the mozzarella sticks with beans which was very weird combination and with chips and salsa. Technically when we arrived it was still happy hour and my fiancée asked for a $4 beers, the bartender looked confused and answered, " I didn't even knew that we had this so I guess it's whatever beer you want" and we picked out a beer on tap but the did not honor the happy hour nor did not give us the four dollar beer also did not give us the happy hour for the mozzarella sticks and the chips and sals. The food didn't taste the best, there no cheese in the mozzarella sticks and the beans tasted plain, and chips salsa tasted weird. Like it didn't taste like a typical chips salsa. And when we got home. I felt very nauseous, so the food didn't sit well for me. The tab was $50 something with a $8 tip. The bartender seemed clueless whenever we asked a question about something. So, I'd never been here until my girl Cotton brought me. Kids, it's a dive bar, don't expect 5 star, but I actually love it. I'm here for the karaoke, having ditched another dive bar not so far away where I was overcharged on my bill more than once AND they "accidentally" mixed up my tab with someone else's. So I was looking for a new place to sing and drink. I think Loree's is adorable, it's got the beer and liquor I prefer (they have Tullamore Dew!!), I'm happy with the karaoke, and yeah, maybe it could be cleaner, but I'm not judging. Only thing I haven't done yet is order tacos, and I'll remedy that soon. Overall, it's a good place to drink and sing, I like that it's NOT full of aggressive party behavior like the bar I used to go to, the crowd at Loree's is small but fun, and the employees have all been super nice. Kudos for the awesome young alternative group that showed up last Saturday, it made my old Goth heart happy. Want a cozy place to drink and sing (and actually have a smallish rotation and get to sing?!) Loree's on Greenback's works; I'm interested in checking out Rocklin too. Last night, we picked up 14 tacos around 8pm. When we arrived to pick up the food, the bartender was chatting with two of the four customers there. He didn't stop or greet us for several minutes. He eventually said hi but went over to the other two customers. It appeared they were giving a food order. While the time I waited wasn't extraordinarily long, I did not feel noticed or welcome. While I was waiting for him to serve us, kitchen staff brought our food out and we took it from her. I walked over to the bar with my card out clearly ready to pay. It was only then that the bartender got our bill. I signed with no tip and left. I always tip, and often well when warranted, for to go food i also will tip generally, but with this order the bartender didn't provide any service and certainly nothing acceptional. He answered the phone, took my order, and eventually processed my credit card. I didn't feel bad about it. A bit after we arrived home, I received the text below from the bartender. I live nearby and have been here several times. The service has been inconsistent. We love those tacos, but we won't be back. We happened in here by accident this week after finding that Harry's Lounge isn't having karaoke on Thursday evenings for the time being. At Loree's they have karaoke every night...at least that's the story I heard once we rolled up here. I like this place for the Location and Ambiance. The bartenders are all so very nice. I have been stopping by here for over 10 years. The pricing here used to be so awesome, then Covid and Inflation hit. I just bought a $13 beer, yep $13, it is a better deal than $7.50 for a pint. This used to be $4-$5 for a pint. Again place is cool, the three star is just purely on the post Covid prices. So with my tip I spent $15, unless I had some friends in town or I could see a river or lake $15 would be worth it. I'm really sad to make this review. I've come here a few times and really had a great time. last night was different because of the bartender. He was extremely rude for no apparent reason. We waited a long time while he ignored us (saying he had a full bar and that we needed to wait our turn) which we did. eventually we just wanted to leave because he wasn't taking our orders and he wouldn't let us close out actively not looking our direction. he kept saying things like "you've never worked in the service industry huh" or "I have regulars that I'm gonna help before your group and you would understand that if you work in the service industry" we actually all have been or still are servers and bartenders so that point made no sense because we don't treat people horribly. I think he was overwhelmed but taking it out on our group wasn't helping anything. it wasn't our fault he had a "full bar" I hope he gets a different job soon and or lorees finds better bartender read more

Julie is one of the funnest bartenders I've ever encountered. She made sure everyone was well watered and having a good time. She even sang a few songs during their kareoke, and she has a BEAUTIFUL voice. The food was amazing, and Julie's suggestions were top tier. The bar is clean, but not bougie. The coasters are cut up newspapers (so charming!). This bar has an AMAZING smoking patio. Lot of tables. Accessible ash trays. You can have private conversations, or make friends over a smoke.
