A fun outing brunch with girlfriends and unique cocktails, outdoor seating but we made reservations for indoor AC on a rather hot summer day, amazing/unique food and wonderful attention from staff.

This was my first time visiting Shangri La. It was giving Palm Springs vibes. Loved the atmosphere. The decor. They made a delicious old fashioned. We came for Drag Queen Bingo. It was a great show! So fun! Food was delicious! I didn't get a photo of my chicken tacos. Great flavor. Deviled eggs were BOMB! Friendly service. I'd definitely go again!

    Beautiful outdoor area

Went here for a first date and it was amazing. Parking lot is small, but no issues getting a spot. I made it a bit early on purpose and walked up and was greeted warmly by the host, Precious. She asked if I wanted to sit inside or outside and explained that outdoor seating had heaters, fire pits, and blankets ..or if I was worried about getting cold I could sit inside. I opted for inside just in case, but once walking in - they were projecting the Grammys and it was packed and noisy and I knew I wouldn't want to be yelling and distracted on my first date so I asked if I could change my mind and sit outside instead. She said - not a problem at all! She took me to a cute little table and put a heater near me and asked if I wanted a blanket and I said yes. She forgot them, but that's okay - the heater was great! I was then greeted by our server Logan, with an amazing mustache. He was super bubbly and welcoming as well. He asked if I wanted to get started with anything and I said I would wait and he said he would bring water in the mean time. I read a book as I was waiting for my date (which wasn't very long at all). I love love loved the patio space and how it was laid out. They had bocce ball areas too and I kind of wish I could have explored those parts a bit too...but next time for sure! My date showed up lookin like a tall drink of water ;) Logan then returned and we ordered 2 pineapple coolers to start (non-alcoholic). I thought they were a bit tart/sweet but not bad - can probably modify a bit to ask for less juice/grenadine and more soda water. I let mine sit and the ice melt a bit and then it was better. We also ordered falafel and hummus as a starter and then for our mains I went with the fish tacos (opted for grilled fish) and my date went with the fried chicken. Mine came with 2 tacos and a pile of chips and salsa on the plate...I enjoyed it, but maybe having some beans instead of chips or just a few chips on the side with a little dollop of beans would be nice! My date really enjoyed his meal and it came with cornbread too - which basically is like dessert :) It was a lovely evening and experience for both of us and really appreciated the wonderful service. Thank you- I will be back for sure!

My husband and I tried Shangri-la for the first time last Friday night. It was popular so parking was a little hard to find. We parked up the street since the lot was full. It was cold out so the beautiful outdoor area was empty. However, I can only imagine how packed the bocce ball courts and outdoor bar are when the weather is nice. Inside they were all decorated for the holidays - even the staff! We didn't have reservations, so we got some drinks at the bar while we waited. We tried some of their warm, festive cocktails to warm up. The vibes were good and the bar was quite busy. We were seated reasonably fast and got a nice corner booth. The food menu is eclectic and a bit more limited than I expected, however, still has some solid options. I ordered the salmon and my husband got the pork katsu sandwich. We also split the Brussels sprouts with Parmesan. The breaded pork cutlet was huge! It was plenty of food although it didn't really fit in the bun. The salmon was super flavorful and not overcooked. I really enjoyed the coconut rice and salsa that came with it as well. Very different than how I make salmon at home, and I liked the creativity of this dish! Overall, we had a great meal! I'd love to come back again when the weather had warmed up to see the patio come to life!

I went here for brunch on Sunday and so glad I did! I'm a huge fan of French toast and theirs was delicious. It had a very unique flavor with a mix of strawberry, citrus and cinnamon. I also got a side a bacon that was cooked well. The atmosphere and service was great! I would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out if you're in the area.

Food is unique and delicious! Service was impeccable - absolutely everyone from the host to our server was the absolute nicest, lovely people. What was super unique was how family friend it was! They even had a whole cart of books you could choose from, and plenty of colored pencils! Our daughter had the best time, which of course meant we had a good time. I got the margarita slushie which was delightful! Not too tart, not too sweet!

Friends night out on a very warm spring day. Sat on patio that has a beautiful ambience. Jaden was our server. Spot on and very attentive to the groups needs. Mai Tai cocktails impressive. Perhaps the best we have had on the "mainland". Decent selection of draft beers for some of group. "tezers, we went with daily deviled eggs. This day was buffalo wing. Deviled with spicy yolk. Topped with piece of breaded chicken then drizzled with buffalo sauce. The order comes with three. We were a group of four. Jaden made the order of four eggs. Yeah Jaden and thanks. Also had the brussel sprouts. Yum. Entrees were the baja taco plates the two in the foup loved them. I had the pork katsu sando. Five dollars more for fries. Great about of spice from the gochujang aioli. The radish, cucumber and cilantro balanced it out. Partner had the Shang burger. The great blend of meats and the sauce was perfect. our group was thinking bring a larger group for great outing. Will be back here soon.

    Moroccan Fried Chicken

FOOD/DRINKS - Truffle Fries: topped with parm, herbs, and some kind of mushroom powder. 4/5 - Moroccan Fried Chicken on a stick. 3 pieces of chicken things. Tender and flavorful. 5/5 - Cornbread with Jalapeno and Honey Butter. The cornbread was pretty good. It was moist enough. The honey butter was delicious. 4.5/5 - Pretzel Bites with honey mustard. We added beer cheese for $3. The pretzel bites seemed a little overcooked. Some pieces were soft others were hard and the outside looked burnt. The honey mustard is mostly horseradish. The beer cheese was good but for $3 I figured they would give us more. 3.5/5 - Quesadilla: mix cheese, pico, and crema with added chicken. Tasty! 4.5/5 - Pretzel Donut: coated in sugar and cinnamon with side of custard sauce. The pretzel donut is a nice combo of both pretzel and donut. You can't go wrong with sugar and cinnamon. The sauce tastes like condensed milk. 4.5/5. - Brownie Sundae: brownie topped with vanilla ice cream with candied nuts, caramel sauce, and peanut butter powder. So good! 5/5 SERVICE: Friendly and attentive. We were happy to find out it was happy hour. Happy hour is Wed-Sun 4-5PM. 10% off kitchen menu and $2 off alcoholic drinks. Check your bill, they forgot to discount my drink. FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. The food was good. A little on the pricy side so I'm grateful for the HH discount.

This place is so fun. They have drinks, bochi ball and good food. I had a hamburger and fries and the fries were sooooooo good. I think this is the first time in a while I finished all my fries, they were perfect. My friends got fish tacos and loved them and a grilled cheese which I was told was also very tasty. After we finished eating we went to play bochi ball, you just give a card to someone working at the front counter inside and they will give you everything to play. They don't charge they just keep card so you don't run off with the balls or incase you break something. The only place that would make this place better would be the music, other than that it is a very fun spot for a group or even a date night.

We had a great time visiting this past Saturday evening. We just stoped in for a drink on a whim after eating. It's such a cute atmosphere! The bar is indoor and outdoor. There a beautiful patio area that is huge with lots of seating and nice lights everywhere. There are also a few fire pits you can sit around. When we stopped in a proposal had just happened so they happened to have crystal glasses out. I ordered a "do epic sh*t" champs and it came in that crystal glass. Beautiful! And it tasted delicious! Hubs had a beer. I went to order an espresso martini but it wasn't my favorite. The owner had just walked up to us and started chatting - she was so sweet! She took my drink and brought me a new crystal glass of champs and popped the bottle for me to record. She really went above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed. We watched her shortly after put blankets on people as they sat down outside. So nice! We will be back to try food and other drinks.

Hurrah! Multiple vegan options and good! They just introduced a vegan banh mi and it's delicious. The menu is makes it easy to see what's veggie/vegan which I'm so thankful for. Same great service and drinks and they're now doing live music on Sundays. Tip is to check the schedule on what type of service they're offering as they go back forth from order at the counter to reservations. So thankful for this cool Fair Oaks to hang with friends and family.

If you're not online, this place would go unnoticed but shoutout to the birthday boy, my friend, as he has been here before and talked about it a lot. The wait is over and I must say I've been missing out. Hidden from street view, this spot has a great outdoor patio space. Skeptical we had a table there because we were eating during peak triple digit heat, but the space had everything to ensure guests were comfortable. Ceiling fans that actually work and water misters that didn't leave a wet mess. Incomes the drinks and food. Happy hour always makes me happy. Snagged a lager and brisket tacos. One could say it looks basic and nothing special but boy is it flavorful. Decently sized chunks of brisket. Nothing melt in your mouth but had that softness that made it easy to chew. The pairing of the sauce was nice to balance out the saltiness of the meat. Grab them tissues cause it's a juicy one. A bit pricey, $12 for 2 tacos but def a nice splurge. Down to business. Burger choice for my first visit, definitely not the last, was The Peach Pit - that double patty, rosemary aioli, bacon crumbles, Swiss cheese, spinach, and our house made peach chutney, served on a toasted brioche bun. Solid choice. The beef was juicy, cooked to my liking (surprised they didn't ask how we liked ours cooked). The cross section of the burger is elite. Layers of ingredients adding to the flavors of each bite. I'm a sucker for Tabasco sauce so I couldn't really taste the peach chutney, but I do remember what I believe was a peach slice fall out of the burger. 10/10 would recommend. Just be prepared to use the napkins. It's a sauce/juicy one. Fries were standard. Crisp, fresh. My friends ordered other burgers that looked good. I was able to try some of the garlic fries and pesto sauce. Rich and tasty. Trust. I will be back for their burgers sooner than later. Who is with me? Let's gooooo! Come here on a special day and you may get a birthday card as well! Great effort Brahma!

Ambiance: The outdoor seating is plentiful and tastefully decorated with plants and market lights with a surprising feel of privacy. Food: There is a nice variety of food options as well as a special that our server thoroughly explained to us. We started with an appetizer of Brussels sprouts and a shared beet and apple salad. We settled on the salmon and penne vodka pasta for our entrees. The Brussel sprouts were so good with small strips of bacon and a nice aioli to dip them in. The Salad was complex and excellent and our entrees were absolutely outstanding. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the pasta was delicious with the perfect tenderness (I don't care for overcooked pasta). The sausages in the pasta were great and the sauce was rich. After dinner we both had coffee and tried their butterscotch pudding and a lemon cheesecake. OMG were they amazing!! I highly recommend either of them. Service: We had an amazing server, Kim, who was thorough, prompt and fun. Our salad, entree, and dessert were timed well and we never had to wait too long. I mentioned Fair Oaks Brew Pub as an option I found on Yelp &, as a local, he said it was a great choice. We almost immediately scored street parking only a few doors down. I'd never been to Old Fair Oaks Village before. Looking around, the little town center was more reminiscent of a historic gold country town up in the foothills than Sacramento suburban sprawl. The cutesy charm of the surroundings extended to Fair Oaks Brew Pub itself. Greeted as soon as we walked up, we chose to sit out in their inviting patio area on a perfect Spring day. Our server was along shortly. She was friendly, helpful, & the right amount of attentive. For brew pub fare, we both chose the Risky Burger. Essentially a Western bacon BBQ variation of their regular cheeseburger. Sides were upgraded to onion rings. For the brew, I got their Chicken Foot Pale Ale. Everything was up before long. The Risky Burger was outstanding. Crispy bacon, tasty onion rings (in the burger, as well as on the side), gooey melted cheese, & a perfectly cooked patty just juicy enough to turn the last bite or 2 of the whole burger into a bit of a mess. The Chicken Foot Pale Ale was decent for style, though a little old school in terms of recipe/ malts/ hops. Still, a refreshing pairing for the Risky Burger. All in all, Fair Oaks Brew Pub was a great spot to grab a bite & a beer in an unexpectedly scenic pocket of suburbia.
