    White rice, didn't try it

Likely won't come again. I guess I should have gone back out when we saw no people in the place. Veggies were good, just not great. Pad Thai- my friend said it had no flavor.

We got takeout from Li's Noodles, and it was ready right on time and delicious. The pork dumplings had a very fresh and herb-y flavor. The Basil Chicken was perfectly balanced and just the right amount of spicy. My son got the noodle bowl with pork and udon noodles and loved it. The flavors were light. Nothing was too salty or too sweet. We will definitely be back.

We recently checked out this joint for new date night restaurant and we were highly impressed. Staff was friendly, helpful and kitchen was fast at getting the food out. Everything came out hot and delicious, my wife got pho and I got the General Tso chicken. For our first time on site we were highly impressed, no complaints here and we're looking forward to going back soon!

The congee here reminds me of home. It is exactly how my parents would make it when I'm sick because of the ginger and some lettuce strips

My friend and I came to Li's on a Tuesday night the day after Christmas. The interior is very clean and inviting. The host was welcoming and recommended several dishes on the menu. We ordered the chicken fried rice and the Singapore noodles. Both dishes were full of flavor and a large portion. I ordered mine 3 out of 5 on the spicy scale and it was spot on. I don't live in the area but will absolutely return on visits back to the area!

Clean, cute, and definitely coming back. Delicious, fresh, affordable. One of the best places I've been recently. Can't wait to come back and try a different version of noodle bowl. Theres parking, even though it is in a small parking lot. It's an intimate place, and I love that. Nice for a meet-cute, friends get together. It has space for lathe groups although I'd call first, like I mentioned the space is limited and small. You can spend about $15 with tip here and be satisfied. They also offer lunch specials. The picture speak for themselves. My colleagues all loved it, I actually learned about it through another coworker who loves this restaurant, it's one of her favorites and I can see why. The service was quick and even though there was a mix up, they remade the dish super quick and it was so delicious. I had the glass noodle (made of potatoes starch) with pork and it was so fresh and juicy and the sauce was fantastic and I just loved it and I want more! Definitely go here if you are a noodle fan like me.

Delicious and hidden! We were in the area and decided to come here. They weren't busy at all and the restaurant is small. They don't have a lot of tables. The staff is friendly too! We started off with the steamed dumplings. They were good and cooked just right. I got the byob udon noodles and it was a good amount. I asked for it to be spicy and they put fresh peppers in it and it definitely gave it a kick. My husband got the ramen and he loved it! I would definitely come back if I was in the area again!

    Kids love it!

The Pho is supremely good and flavorful. I enjoyed the crisp fresh veggies while the broth was comforting. The fried rice and rice bowl was very well balanced and not "gummy". A must for Pho lovers

We found this place when we had to stay the night in Matthews/Charlotte and there weren't a lot of places open. We called and placed an order over the phone and I almost wish we had gone in beforehand but that wasn't really an option. When we got there they could answer all of our questions about the authentic dishes on the menu. I didn't know what a lot of them were so I didn't order any. I would love to go back and try some of them though. What we got was really good. They were out of rice!! But the lo mein was delicious!! And the scallion pancakes were really good

    wonton noodle soup

Came here with my dad as he's been here before but ordered dishes family style. This time we tried the noodles I got the wonton noodle soup and it was okay the wontons were pretty good but nothing special there was shrimp and pork in them (yum) the flavor was good, but the noodles were okay mine were said to be egg noodles but the texture was okay i personally wasn't a fan as there was no chew and the noodle nearly broke once it hit my mouth. My dad got the wheat noodles which had a bit more chew in them, but overall both of our noodles were a bit bland, but I can't say i didn't enjoy it because it felt like very healthy as both our broths were clear and light and i feel refreshed after eating it. The portion size was good as I felt super full and had like half a bowl of noodles left, but the noodle to soup and everything else ration was not the best. The ambiance was nice as it felt super clean and calm and a good place to eat for sure with a nice boba shop right next to it for drinks after . My dad hyped the dishes up so maybe that might be the move for next time or the like ramen i see from the other reviews. Overall, I would come back, but probably wouldn't order the same thing.

Friday afternoon - peak lunch hour, this place is tucked away a bit, but when we came in the doors, every table was occupied (except 1).... Which worked out for us. Menu and photos of the dishes online looked entreaging and I am so glad we tried this place. Staffers were quick to seat us (at the last table available), but very quickly you can tell how fast/efficent the service was here and the number of customers they crank through. No noodles this time, but I will definitely be going back if I find myself in the Matthews area for whatever reason. Eggplant w/Garlic Sauce is definitely a must try and their mongolian beef was tasty. Both dishes came with rice (and we shared). Intreagued to try the rest of the menu!!

I'm inclined to believe this was intentional and that they know what they're doing. The cucumbers were not good at all. The skin was tough and the texture of the cucumbers were rubbery rather that crisp and snappy. The dish itself lacked balance and was very heavy on the vinegar. It's important to note that the fried tofu add-on was excellent. They used soft tofu and it was fried to perfection. The service was standard. The food was brought out quickly. I don't know what I was expecting coming from the Bay Area. I think this place "works" but if you've got a real hankering for good Chinese food, this is not for you. (To echo what Evan Z. wrote. Thanks for the review, it definitely helped levelset expectations!)

As a Bay Area foodie, I'm always searching for Chinese food that gives me that same feeling I get in San Francisco or Houston's Chinatown. Lam's comes close. The ingredients taste fresh, everything is made to order, the proteins are tender, and the flavors have depth without being heavy or overdone. This visit, I ordered the scallion beef, and it was excellent--tender beef, plenty of scallions and onions, and beautifully seasoned. I asked for something spicy on the side, thinking sambal or hot chili sauce, and they brought me chili crisp. Perfect. And yes, I know sweet and sour pork can sound cliché, but theirs deserves some respect. It's made with cubes of tender pork, bell peppers and pineapple, and the sauce isn't cloyingly sweet. The quality of the pork makes the dish. I'm already looking forward to the leftovers. Other favorites include the string beans with ground pork and the beef with broccoli. Both are stellar. They also have an extensive dim sum menu. It's ordered from the menu rather than served from carts, which means there's plenty more for me to work my way through. There's something comforting about eating here. Seeing families gathered around the tables enjoying Chinese food sometimes makes me a little homesick for meals out with my mom. Food has a funny way of doing that. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable and nicely air-conditioned, with a large live seafood/lobster tank. Service is friendly and fast. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and there's an easy parking lot right outside. Lam's Kitchen has earned a permanent spot in my rotation. I'll happily keep making the drive to Matthews and eating my way through the menu. Life is too short not to eat well. Get out there and find your next meal.

The Dim Sum is fantastic! lots of options, everything perfectly prepared and presented. We ordered the sesame balls with red bean paste, spicy dumplings, crab Rangoon, chicken fried rice, spring rolls, and steamed crystal shrimp dumplings, pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings, and the sticky rice with chicken. Each choice as fresh, perfectly prepared, and tasted fantastic. There were 3 of us and we all ate well and had plenty of leftovers, which is always nice. And the best part was the cost of this feast. It was significantly lower than meals I have had at other Asian restaurants whose prices were much higher, food wasn't as well prepared and gave you much smaller portions. Our server, Ana, was wonderful. She even taught me how to use chopsticks properly. Loved her! The Manager, Tom, was also great! The place was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. There was no one there to really greet me so walked over to the table where group that I was meeting was. With over 20 people in the group, the restaurant was able to accommodate nicely with service being very good with timely drink refills. For the food, it was ok, I wouldn't say that it was the best Chinese food I've ever ate. I've had better at cheaper places. For the price, the food wasn't worth what was charged. I ordered beef and vegetables which did not include rice that was charged separately. The beef slices were thin and found bone in one piece after I tasted and spit out; vegetables were tasty. Rice tasted very dry and wasn't sticky and moist. I'm glad that I tried but found the food to be very expensive especially since it was just okay. But I don't think I would visit again.
