He warms up to her so quickly because she turns everything into a game and she is so sweet to him. She is very attentive and caring. The way she speaks to us, keeps track of little details of our family and relates to us is just a little bit of what sets her apart from the rest. There are lots of toys for the kids to play with, a TV mounted to the ceiling for the kids to watch their favorite show during the brushing. She makes herself seem more as a friend than as a dentist and we all leave each visit happy!

What this fool doesn't know is, my daughter saw a highly credentialed orthodontist before coming to his office, & she didn't recommend teeth being pulled! Our son is ending his time with braces on and didn't have to have a single tooth pulled. In fact, this orthodontist recommended, "my daughter have some more teeth come out, and bring her back for a second evaluation." It seems he & his practice like to prey on Medicaid recipients. My assumption is, he doesn't think people on Medicaid are very bright. Stay far away from this unscrupulous piece of s--t. Just because somebody has letters in front of or behind their name or they brandish a degree on the wall of their office doesn't mean they're knowledgeable or trustworthy. Stay far away from this person. In my opinion, he needs his license revoked--he doesn't deserve to be called a doctor.

In January, I was told my son wasn't flossing well enough and that I should come back in 3 months, but would have to pay out of pocket since insurance wouldn't pay. So I paid $150 at the time of service. But the office still put the visit through insurance, which paid $183. Although this may have been a simple mistake, I've been double billed enough time by other medical providers to wonder if this is becoming a widespread practice. Anyway, when I called A + and asked them to reverse the insurance charge, they said they could not. Instead. They refunded me, but only $110. Even though the insurance company paid MORE than I was asked to pay, A + refused to fully refund the amount, saying I had to pay $40 for fluoride. I am incensed.

When we walked in, there was a dry erase board that had every child's name for the day written on it, welcoming them. I thought it was so nice that someone would take the time to do that every day. The waiting room has a very relaxing atmosphere even with the video games. When we were called to go back, I was amazed at how beautiful the office is. There are floor to ceiling windows overlooking pretty trees, and an aquarium which my son loved. They were so sweet and patient with him. There are tv's in the ceiling which are helpful for keeping kids laid back. They let him sit up and talk whenever he wanted to. I was embarrassed when they told me he had a few cavities, but they assured me that it was perfectly normal and I shouldn't feel guilty. At the end, each kid gets to pick out a little toy to take home. We're actually looking forward to going back for the fillings :) Special note* Having no reviews to go off of, I chose this place because they were one of the few that accepted my son's medicaid insurance. That being said, I was NOT expecting such a nice office and patient staff. This place truly is a hidden gem.

They openly admit they do not verify EOBs because it's considered a "courtesy service," yet they have no problem upselling unnecessary treatments like nitrous oxide for children -- knowing it may not be covered by insurance and isn't always medically necessary. This office caused me so much stress that I transferred my child to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out only 1 of the 3 molars they claimed needed treatment actually needed work. That alone says enough. SCAMMERS ! Oh and they don't tell you the charges until arrival. I've received 3 different charges for one tooth and a surprise text for a balance owed. Contacted Human Resources to have the 216.00 charge removed after paying $130 and having Aetna insurance. The wait to tell you the charges part of the strategy & then they have you sign the estimate to throw in your face that you signed it. Organized CRIME, on to the BBB for my next review on them... The front desk staff were nonchalant and unhelpful throughout the process, and management seemed more focused on swiping cards than properly running the office or helping patients understand charges and treatment plans. I guess those fancy decorations and showroom-style furniture have to get paid for somehow. . Don't waste your time here it's all about the money and charges. When we arrived, they had run my insurance and they gave me a printed detailed list of all costs for a basic first exam, X-rays and cleaning, including what was covered by my insurance, before I even thought to ask. The hygentist was wonderful and very patient with my son. He was a little anxious and she did a great job of calming him down. I was also really impressed with Dr. Millkey. She had to give me bad news about a severe cavity in one of my son's permanent teeth. But she explained the options clearly - even suggesting we get a quote from our oral surgeon in case it might save us money. She has a wonderful bedside manner, saving the bad news for me alone while my son was distracted picking out a small toy with one of her staff members. I don't know how I lucked into such a wonderful practice that also accepts our dental insurance!n

It took me a while to find a pediatric dentist that was suitable because when it comes to my baby nothing is ever good enough (lol). I walked into Millkey way and was transported to this fantastical galactic space which took me back to my childhood. The staff at the front desk addressed my son by name. I wondered how they knew then realized we were the only ones in the office. It took me a moment to realize hey, they did not overbook because no one else was scheduled with us. There was no wait time. The dental hygienist took us to the back and got to cleaning my son's tiny teeth . My baby was so comfortable that he layed there, no fuss which I was so thankful for because it put me at ease. Dr. Millkey did her exam after the cleaning. She has such a warm spirit and calm energy. She patiently answered all my questions and when I had no more she gave me a ton of information and pointed out something I had never noticed, my son has and under bite and cross bite. She advised me to wean him off the pacifier to help with those issues. During the 2nd visit x-rays were taken and Dr. Millkey allowed me to view them and take photos. I was so pleased and thankful.
