The initial phone call was very simple and I was able to schedule an appointment for an initial visit and cleaning and they also emailed the documents to complete prior to my visit so that I could be prepared beforehand. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking available outside. We were greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk and were able to quickly check-in and hang over our paperwork. The kids were able to play with the toys and they lit up once they saw the gaming space (one tv had Minecraft and the other had a Super Mario game.) Every single dental assistant and hygienist was VERY friendly and just so sweet and welcoming. They were so kind to my 3 year old daughter who joined me for the appointment and even included her (she has never been to a dentist just yet). Dr. Shoemaker is awesome! So bubbly and friendly, he came in and greeted us, started chatting with my son and instantly made him feel comfortable. We never once felt rushed or out of place. It was very warm and happy experience for both of my kiddos! My son's cleaning and exam was successful, then they allowed both kids to pick out a prize and even gave them balloons. They were ecstatic! Check-out was very simple and I was able to schedule our next appointments. They provide both text reminder and email reminder about appointments. Absolutely recommend 10/10. What a wonderful dentist office!

I am giving this office one star due to concerns regarding due diligence and billing integrity…read more After checking my daughter in for a routine cleaning, I was informed that there was a $51 balance remaining from her previous visit for a sealant. I explained that I had not been told at the prior appointment that the sealant was not covered by insurance. Because the receptionist was new, another staff member stepped in to assist. I was initially told that insurance companies sometimes list services as covered on their websites when they are not. I was then told the $51 was part of my deductible and that my insurance only covered 80% of the sealant. After receiving multiple explanations, I requested to review the actual paperwork to verify the information being provided. Once the paperwork was printed and reviewed, I was informed that the previous information was incorrect. It was clarified that the office is only permitted to bill my insurance a certain contracted amount, and the sealant was, in fact, covered. Had I not asked to see the documentation, I would have paid a balance that my insurance had already covered. Additionally, I never received a copy of the paperwork I requested. I strongly encourage parents and patients to review their billing statements carefully and request documentation when there are discrepancies. Transparency and accuracy in billing are essential, and patients should not have to advocate this hard to ensure they are being charged correctly.

Wow!!!! BEST Dentist experience,.....yet...lol…read more I have to be a little reserved in my review...it's come back to bite me before. This was an initial consultation @ 7 am. Went Great! Dr. Patel was spot on. Great attitude... perfect smile and eyes that would make me hand him my wallet!!! I left the consolation with an open spot to come back at 9:30 for an exam. Went up to the chick fil a and they called me about 8:45 and said come on back. I went back in for round 2. I was scared out my mind. Haven't been to the dentist in well over 8 yrs!!!!! I meet up with the Goddess know simply as Ms. Pam or Patt...can't remember.......ohhhhh what a woman though..... Her voice could melt butter....so calm, soothing and reassuring.... I was still hella tense!!!!!!, but she made me feel like I was lying in bed at home. I ABSOLUTELY HATE POKING AND PRODDING in my mouth,....BUT,....Ms. Pam and Dr. Patel did it with such ease and reassurance. Overall I've got to have about 3-4 visits to clean and fix and repair everything that is wrong with my mouth, (shame on me....I'm completely embarrassed and Totally ashamed)...but I'll keep you all updated! So far..a 5!!!

I have been coming here for years, and I have not had any problems until recently. I think the…read morepractice has gotten so big, that the staff members just don't care. My most recent visit was a horrible experience for me. When checking in, I had to update my history. One question on there asked me to select issues or concerns I had more questions about, so I did. However, that was never addressed during my visit. The hygienist was initially nice, but I don't think she showed much compassion or concern. When taking my Xrays, she kept shoving the piece so far back in my throat that it was causing me to gag. I kept having to adjust it, which I could tell was irritating her. I then told her she's pushing it way too far back, and I can't help that I have gag reflexes. Then when she went to clean my teeth, she let the suction rest on my tongue, and when I tried to hold it, she said "no just let it rest there." So she starts cleaning my teeth, and water was splashing everywhere. After the water started splashing in my nose, I had had enough. I informed her that no other dental hygienist at that practice ever had water splashing on me like that. In the middle of her cleaning, the doctor walks in. He's pleasant as always, but he walks in asking her what type of chair/stool she likes better. Had a whole conversation which I feel like was not important to discuss in front of the patient. I also hate the fact that he came in the middle of cleaning instead of once it was over like he normally does. I want to ensure the hygienist did a good job. At any rate, the hygienist (Cara? Sarah?) continued cleaning and she actually scraped my gum a few times while removing plaque from my teeth. I squirmed in the chair so she could tell it hurt, but she didn't do anything about it. Lastly, she says "it looks like your fluoride is covered today." So she finished up and walked me to the front and said I was good to go. I went to the restroom, and when I got back, the receptionist said "I know she said you're good to go, but you actually owe for the fluoride. It looks like you had an $18 credit on your account but you still owe $17." I explained several times that the hygienist said it was covered, and she said "I know but she was looking at it wrong." Well that's NOT my problem. I told her that I hear what she's saying, but fluoride is optional. So I wouldn't have even gotten it. She finally said she would just "scrap the fee." I then walked out. Also, why did I even have a credit on my account? So they are overcharging people, but they never even notified me that I was being over charged. I still do not know why I had a credit on my account. So customers BEWARE! Overall horrible experience.

I raised concerns multiple times about my daughter's cavity, and it was not handled with the urgency it clearly required. Now her condition has become severe--she has developed a cyst on her gum, and the tooth is badly damaged. This did not happen overnight. This was something that should have been addressed sooner. As a parent, it is extremely upsetting to see your child suffer when you trusted a provider to do their job. This experience has completely broken my trust in this office. I would not feel comfortable recommending this dentist to other parents. Please advocate for your child and consider getting a second opinion.

This guy is an unprofessional dentist & more importantly a CROOK. On my 7-year-old daughter's first…read morevisit yesterday, he tells my wife she needs to have 4 teeth pulled. Why on earth does a 7-year-old need teeth pulled that are going to naturally purge themselves from her mouth anyway? My child heard his unscrupulous recommendation and scared her to tears! Not only are his recommendations questionable, his conduct was very unprofessional as my wife shared with me he acted like he and my wife were best friends--I guess this was his attempt to woo her into trusting him. Furthermore, you are a REGULAR dentist dude--not an oral surgeon, not an orthodontist--a PLAIN OLD REGULAR dentist who probably graduated bottom of his class. What this fool doesn't know is, my daughter saw a highly credentialed orthodontist before coming to his office, & she didn't recommend teeth being pulled! Our son is ending his time with braces on and didn't have to have a single tooth pulled. In fact, this orthodontist recommended, "my daughter have some more teeth come out, and bring her back for a second evaluation." It seems he & his practice like to prey on Medicaid recipients. My assumption is, he doesn't think people on Medicaid are very bright. Stay far away from this unscrupulous piece of s--t. Just because somebody has letters in front of or behind their name or they brandish a degree on the wall of their office doesn't mean they're knowledgeable or trustworthy. Stay far away from this person. In my opinion, he needs his license revoked--he doesn't deserve to be called a doctor.

I don't currently have insurance so this is important information. They wouldn't discuss the ballpark price range for routine services they likely have done countless times. Have you ever done this service before? What did you charge last time? I understand it can vary depending on the patient or complications in a given context but it's ridiculous to behave this way and makes you seem shady. A caveat would be sufficient. They insisted I needed to come in for an $85 exam to determine IF I would need a referral. "We're gonna need to charge ya a hundred bucks to tell ya if we sell skittles or not." Do you or do you not know the services you provide? What is the policy for making referrals? I'm pretty sure I was using industry standard terms and at no time was i impolite. The services in question were for replacing a permanent or bonded retainer and teeth cleaning. The receptionist spoke down to me in a patronizing tone. Her capacity for active listening did not exist.
