The hostess was amazing -- friendly, warm, and genuinely accommodating. I ordered the curry chicken salad wrap, which was absolutely delicious -- flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The pesto macaroni salad on the side was just as impressive. Before leaving, I picked up a ginger scone to go. Later that evening in my Burlington hotel, I made a cup of tea and enjoyed that scone -- and it was fantastic. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect end to a travel day. On the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend, we made a reservation at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly. Service was overall fantastic and we were super impressed with the cocktails and food, leaving happily satisfied and stuffed at the end. I can't think of anything we ordered that we didn't like, though, of course, there were some favorites: Alpine Negroni and Smoking Gun cocktail were delicious. We LOVED the Ahi Tuna Tostadas, Wunder Wings, and Roasted Carrots - and hands-down our favorite of the night was the Miso Mussels. We weren't sure we ordered enough between the 3 of us, but portions were overall done well and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish. I truly can't wait to come back to Wunderbar the next time I'm visiting the area. Very friendly and easy to chat with. A local fund raiser raffle was going on in the back of the shop and a Jazz group is scheduled to perform later in the day. Artwork on the walls by a local photographer is for sale. A price list is on the sofa table if interested. A display at the end of the counter offers locally made cards for sale. Comfy sofa and arm chairs fill the front of the shop by the picture windows. Tables and seats the back area and potted plants are scattered throughout. Coffee is sourced from Dean's Beans, an organic coffee roaster, employee owned company in Orange, MA. This is the kind of coffee shop we would absolutely make our go-to coffee shop if we lived nearby. Highly recommend.
