Prime Roast has essentially ruined every coffee place for me. Not only is the coffee outstanding, the staff is extremely friendly, and they're consistent. I have been going here pretty much every weekday for 2.5 years now, and I can honestly say my morning half-sweet Nutella latte is perfect every time with the weekday morning crew. The iced black tea is always brewed well, and they have the perfect selection of sweet treats. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake. They do have a restroom for customers, multiple self-serve coffee carafes, and a loyalty program for their coffee beans. I also really admire their role in the community, and the positive atmosphere within their store. Definitely give them a try. read more

On a recent visit to New Hampshire, I found myself in this lovely little coffee shop. They had such a wide variety. The tables are all unique and beautiful. The space is warm and inviting. I was going to get coffee but they were having a special Harry Potter event so I went with an Italian soda with green apple flavoring being advertised as "gillyweed water" and it was delicious. I walked in and had high expectations because it smells SO good as soon as you cross that threshold. The expectations were met and exceeded. My husband got a Chai Cobb with oat milk. A nice, sweet spice to start his morning. I opted for a special: the vanilla cardamom latte with whole milk. Nice, rich coffee flavor with the warmth of cardamom. A fun spot with places to sit for a while or get a bit of work done. Cute shirts and mugs for sale and several coffee-paraphernalia items too! Service was quick but not rushed (if that makes sense). Fantastic friendly service! I only gave four stars because I had no idea the coffee I chose in the pump pots was flavored, and I absolutely cannot stand flavored coffee. So bummed. I think they should very clearly label it, especially for those of us who, pre-coffee, need extra guidance. It had, I think, the name of the shop, so I figured it was their house blend. I am just passing through Keene and I always look for local businesses to support when I travel. This place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking right in front of the shop. Very good coffee! I am a decaf drinker, so it is very nice they have 2 decaf kinds available (usually one kind at most coffee shops). If you drink at the shop you can get $0.25 discount. Wow. Very reasonable price. Also baristas are really friendly. I will come back. read more

Stopped by today and got latte and muffins. Service is a little slow, but nothing to complain about. However, the younger lady at the front taking orders forgot that the muffins were ready (quick reheat) and just let them sit under counter. When asked about status of those muffins, was pretty rude, rolled her eyes and handed them over. The other workers there seems pretty good! read more

Ah Prime Roast. I've been coming here for many years. Now that I live closer I split my coffee budget between here and Starbucks on West St. Prime Roast is more focused on variety. There are a huge variety of coffees on sale as whole beans or grinds, but you don't get a funny look if just asking for "coffee." The drip coffee is self serve and there's always a couple of interesting varieties. A cooler case has a bunch of different pastries. Unfortunately the small menu is often missing a few items after the breakfast rush. The largest hot is 16oz, since 20 is just silly (Starbucks, looking at you.) There are these two seating area nooks, elevated and in the display window area. Some dark lighting throughout is sufficient but there's limited seating otherwise. All very homey and somehow coffee shop appropriate. There's always some coffee drinking and vaping types on the outdoor benches out front. read more

The coffee is so tasty! The Mexican mocha (January special) is so yummy! My mom got the Maple Latte and she liked hers as well! They sell coffee beans and have so many different flavors! I will be buying some soon to taste! And definitely would come back to try a pastry! No need to read other reviews- this coffee shop is worth stopping by and is my go-to spot consistently. I have been going here for over 10 years and the beans I buy by the pound are excellent every time. In fact, when my wife and I moved 3 hours away to Maine, I buy pounds and pounds to bring back to stock up! Most coffee I buy in my area doesn't compare. Frozen specialty drinks and hot lattes are favorites. Has some local baked goods, chocolate covered espresso beans and yogurts for snacks. Not many tables to sit but usually can find one. read more

I end up in Keene frequently and I always make sure to visit Prime Roast Coffee. Their coffee is always delicious, tastes like you would expect, and the service is friendly and efficient. I tried something new on Saturday - a peppermint tea latte and I am sold. It was so good. I thought it'd be a bit boring but no- it was flavorful and just the right amount of peppermint. Coffee was pretty good! The flavor wasn't super subtle, and it was just a bit over roasted, but honestly better than I was expecting for the area. I got a cappuccino and the foam wasn't stained like I was used to, just placed on top, which didn't totally balance the drink. I did see them make lattes with stain though! Limited selection of baked goods, decent amount of seating, and the staff was nice. They also had an area of the store with Chemexes, AeroPresses, filters, and mugs if you need to pick any of those up! The Chemex filters were also only $8.95 which is a total steal. By far, my favorite coffee shop ever. I've been buying all my coffee beans here for several years. Love that Nicaraguan Dark! They make a great cappuccino, and their home made cheesecake is just to die for. The way they have handles their business during this pandemic is outstanding. Now they deliver my coffee beans to my house, often by electric bicycle! Always with a cute little note in the receipt. Just the nicest, most helpful staff every time. Just had my 1st visit to your store & I am not impressed. I got the costa rican dark blend & it was like drinking a glass of brown water. When I complained, I was asked if I wanted a shot of espresso. So is that how you run your business, getting people to spend more money. If I knew I was going to get such a bland, weak cup of coffee I would have gone to Dunkins.  If I knew that I would have had to add espresso I would have gone to Starbucks. I was looking for decaf iced tea which they didn't have any, but the girl behind the counter concocted a delicious blend of caffeine free lemon zinger and red raspberry. Ok, I have to write a review, let me explain, I'm sitting in an RV in Rigby, ID and the subject of coffee came up. Well, it came up because my wife worships Prime Roast. Since we've been in Idaho she's been jonesing for a cup of Maple something or the other that she gets from Prime Roast, me, on the other hand, would kill for a cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee, now, the reason I'm writing this is because I can type on this laptop and she can't, so she told me to write it. Now she's looked over my shoulder and doesn't like what I've written so she dictates "they have wonderful customer service, they're wonderful people they make custom drinks and I've been all over the country and I haven't had a coffee like Prime Roast. While my husband was running the Clarence DeMar marathon I stopped in for a cup of coffee and a biscotti. It was recommended to me by another shop owner on Main Street.
