I came in for my hair to be colored, but during the bleaching process my hair was severely overprocessed. A large section on the top of my head broke off, leaving short pieces that stick straight up and are difficult to style. I had to recolor my hair afterward because the color wasn't what I requested, and I'm still dealing with the damage months later. I included photos so others can see the extent of the breakage. WORST EXPERIENCE AND HAIR TRIM EVER. whatever you do, do NOT go here. I asked for a BASIC trim and even CONFIRMED the length and the lady chopped off all my hair... She proceeded to gaslight me into thinking I "needed" it for healthier hair after she made this mistake. She put all my hair in the back when she was cutting it so I couldn't even correct her before all of it was gone. It would have been better to trim my hair at home. NEVER coming here again. You would think a hair dresser would know how to at least cut hair or follow basic instructions but no one here knows how to do anything. I've gotten my hair cut and dyed here before too and they were all average at best. I never walked away amazed from anything because they are all horrible at their job. Not bad, to get any type of hair cut, but to be honest I'm still more loyal to my barber in Charlotte. The one thing why is because the barber here didn't really cut what I wanted, even though it was pretty clear. I think there's a sense of fear of barbers who cut people's hair especially if it's their first customers. I think that in time the barber I had or if I had an ongoing barber would know, but that's not what I want. I don't want to experiment every time I visit, and I've always had a different experience with my regular barber. She always knew how to make me look good and what I wanted. Anyways, this place is okay. The prices were reasonable and they also give you a nice massage and wash after if you request it. I think that's the one nice thing, but I guess what salon doesn't have this? Try this place out if you're looking for a barber/stylist, but don't expect perfection on the first go. read more

My dad and I are visiting Atlanta and we went here get a haircut and shampoo. Amy worked on me and did a great job cutting my hair, a half inch off the top with a 5-6 on the back and sides. After the cut, she washed my hair and gave me not only a head massage, but a neck massage and a type of moisturizer for my face. She worked in the product and put a hot towel on, like they do for pedicures. She rinsed my hair thoroughly, I haven't found a single strand of hair on my face or clothes. The treatment took about 20 to 30 minutes, I loved every bit of it. I would highly recommend Amy. I would love to come back here again and again, but I'm only visiting for a few days. Not happy, the prices change every time depending on who is cutting your hair. In addition to that, they make you get an additional service of wash and straighten just for a simple cut. Lisa, who apparently knew me when I was very young, used to work at Cutting Edge down the street and had cut various members of my family's hair for years. She's always been nice to my family and I, and opened her own shop approximately 9 years ago. My previously terribly cut straight bangs had grown into side bangs, so I went in to to get a bang trim ($5 + tip). I was immediately sat down for a quick trim by Lisa, though there was someone else waiting as well. My bangs were trimmed, but a bit shorter than I had wanted - oh well, they will grow out nicely. My straight bangs were cut unevenly the last time I went to New Image Hair Salon in Doraville and this time they were even. In addition to my bang trim, she scowled at the way the layers in the front of my hair had been previously cut and razor trimmed it quickly as a courtesy - how nice! She had mentioned that I should come back for a real haircut next time... and I think I will, the next time I'm in town! read more

I used to get $50 hair cuts and think im cool. Now that i have met Lisa, i feel like a fool about that LOL. Seriously though, i call her and we agree on a time and im there. She might make me wait 5-10 mins once im there but it's understandable, shes always very busy. She'll spend a decent amount of time on my hair, cut it how i like it and charge me $10 with a smile. The owner, Lisa, had the audacity to come and yell at my son for crying while getting his hair cut today. He's 3 years old! What do you expect from a 3 year old? To sit down and enjoy it? We were trying to calm him down and she just came over, tapped on my son, and scream and yelled at him!! My god...I was speechless and didn't know what to say. I first visited Lisa's Hair Salon on 4/7/2017. Before I even arrived for my appointment that evening, I was very impressed. I called late that afternoon and spoke to Lisa. She told me I could come that evening after work - for color. I had called another business and researched even more businesses, finding other salons couldn't take me for an appointment that late, were short-handed due to spring break, etc. The price Lisa gave me was reasonable. When I arrived at the salon I met Lisa, Theresa, Mina, and Anna. All were very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I learned things about why my hair was oily; for example. Anna explained things I could do to make my hair less oily. I felt very pampered and relaxed while I was there. The customer service I experienced from every employee there was exceptional!!!
