I visited with a party of 8, and across eight varied and unique entrees, everyone absolutely loved their meal. Fried fish came out deliciously crispy in cornmeal batter, salads were freshly chopped and vibrant, and my blackened chicken was perfectly tender. I am usually a stickler for taking photos to go with my reviews but I forgot this time as the meal looked so good - everything was that tasty! :) Service was excellent and the rural atmosphere was calm and serene. The restaurant is nestled outside of town next to rolling hills and a large pond that makes for scenic views. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who's in the area!

Even though I had heard about this place, I was leary because all the Yelp reviews were so old. However, the place was packed and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the Saturday special 8oz Filet and added sautéed mushrooms and herb butter. They do charge extra for every single little thing, but these items "made" the steak. Hubby had the smoked Pork Chop with a baked potato (which we shared; upcharge to get it "loaded" which meant they added cheese to the butter and sour cream). Fresh hot bread and butter came with the meal. Both entrees were Yumm-oh! Our waitress was attentive and friendly and busy. I also got a glass of Moscato wine, which was tasty. And we ordered the Brownie Sundae for dessert, which unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. I'd definitely skip the $9! dessert. The total bill was North of $100, so kind of pricey for us, but we did like what we had. I just wanted to add a review that was current.

What do you do? Well, if you're like me and the best way to get over a bad day is with some greasy food then Town Topic is exactly was was needed. While it is 24/7 the dining room closes and so it was just ordering and picking up at the window. There was a short line but it moved quickly and I decided to get the bacon double cheeseburger and let's throw an egg on it. Fries? "Get the tots." Tots it is. It's definitely a good late night burger, hot greasy with the tots being that right amount of crisp. Did I get any pie? Nope! because at this time of night they're pretty much out.

The flavor coming off that well seasoned grill "Can you say YUM!" The patty melt with grilled onions is $9.25 so worth it. She said tots, why yes please, nice and crispy $4.95. Finally the perfect beverage to go with this feast had to be a malt vanilla shake $7.50. OMG so good! Finally, the service is phenomenal. I was made to feel welcome the moment I stepped through the door. Locals already know, visitors this is a must enjoy spot in KC. Town Topic, thank you for a delish meal.

It's a small little diner but we got lucky as two people were leaving as we walked in - got 2 seats at the counter. It was awesome that they had a breakfast special, two eggs, bacon and two biscuits & gravy. It was so good and the bacon was crispy and very good. We also ordered the lunch special-double cheeseburger & fries. Got pickles and diced onions on the burger. We've been on a tour of top 10 burger places in KS-this burger would be our #1 or #2 if it were KS. It was outstanding. Everyone in the place were super nice and the counter staff made it a fun time for everyone. Great place, great staff and excellent food.

Seating is incredibly limited; like 4-5 booths, a couple tables and 8-10 or so stools at the bar. Unfortunately, walking in right at 11AM on Saturday, I was met with the greeting that "Breakfast is over, the only other place that'll have breakfast is Waffle House on the other side of town" (while the last breakfast order of eggs and bacon were being cooked right in front of me). *My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined* Alas, being the good sport that I am, I rolled the dice on some chicken strips and fries along with a grilled cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese was actually good, but the chicken strips and crinkle cut fries were the standard frozen to fryer items and not really worth eating. On one hand, it's curious why they can't just do breakfast all day (or until they run out). But on the other, there was a significant number of people ready for burgers (which did look good) ready to order once breakfast switched to lunch. Maybe just chalk this up to a weird timing deal, but if you miss out on breakfast, you're kinda hosed unless you're down for a burger. If I'm ever back, I'll try to make it for breakfast since that's really what looks great here.
