As a disabled veteran with complete hearing loss in my right ear due to a grenade explosion during my military service, this was one of the most humiliating and disrespectful experiences I've had at an establishment. I came in peacefully, ordered a non alcoholic beer, and asked a few simple questions about how their Philly cheesesteak burger was prepared. The cashier spoke very quietly, and because of my hearing disability, I genuinely could not hear or understand everything being said. Instead of showing patience or basic human decency, the owner immediately became rude and hostile, accusing me of "ignoring" the cashier when I was simply struggling to hear. The situation escalated for absolutely no reason. The owner aggressively reached toward my drink as if she was going to snatch it out of my hand, refused to let me calmly finish my beverage, and threatened to throw me out simply because I decided I no longer wanted to order food after being treated poorly. I remained calm and respectful the entire time, and I did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. As a veteran and a paying customer, I expected basic respect and understanding regarding my disability. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed, singled out, and unwelcome. I would strongly caution others, especially Black Americans and individuals with disabilities, before supporting this establishment. read more

Horrible service from Elizabeth Ardt. She put in the wrong order then refused to take it off our bill. We happily paid for it and she got an attitude and told us to have a better day. Lol she was the one struggling not us. Avoid her at all costs she doesn't know how to serve. read more

After shopping downtown, we stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat and beat the rain. We came in on a Saturday afternoon, and even though we had a group of 8, we were able to be seated right away. Our table had a good view of the live music as well as the many TVs playing different sports. Now onto the food -- for my drink, I tried out their Bloody Mary, which was well seasoned and not too spicy. To eat, our whole table ordered quite a few appetizers and shared. Friendly bar and restaurant in downtown Gaylord. Entertainment on a Friday night. Large local group there for support. Unfortunately, they ran out of popular food special which I had definitely wanted to try. Nice atmosphere with exposed brick walls. Pizza is very good. read more

Kitchen was a bit slow. Pretzel and "beer cheese" was really queso cheese. Good for snowmobilers as it's right on the trail. Mostly typical bar food. read more

My wife and I decided to given this new downtown Gaylord venue a try. The new owners have removed all the old heavy wood bar back, and surround areas and opened it up to the original exposed brick, which gives it a more modern, updated look and feel. There are six large screen TV's mounted behind the bar, so should make for a good venue to watch your favorite sports. On a Thursday night they were fairly busy. We sat at the bar, and our server Mike, was friendly, attentive and making sure everyone was taken care of. Besides the 2 cooks, he was the only server and there were about 30 people in the restaurant. He was hustling! The menu is not expansive, but covers all the basics; Appetizers, Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads and Pizza's. The people next to us had Onion Rings and they looked home made (not frozen)! Very few places do this anymore, so we are anxious to try them next time. We ordered a Pizza and it was really good. Crust not to thick, and ingredients tasted fresh. wishing them much success as we need to continue to get a more diverse, good food quality of dining options downtown. Lisa's tavern, in Gaylord, hired our band, The Side Hicks, to play July 11th, 2025, for Alpenfest. We were ready to play, and some of us even took the day off work because we had a show the night before. One of our members wives went to their fb page and noticed we were not on the schedule. After a phone call, Lisa said she did not need us. Now mind you, she did not call us to cancel, we called her. We would have shown up ready to play. We work on good faith. We expected that we would be compensated because we did nothing wrong. Lisa will not pay us, and she will not return any messages. Just a warning to others who may be considering playing a gig here. Beware. They management obviously doesn't care about keeping their end of the bargain. How would she feel if I ordered a ton of food take out and then didnt show up to pay? read more

What a great addition to downtown Gaylord. Lisa and crew have put so much love into renovating this spot, while keeping that classic downtown feel and it shows. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and food is delicious and made with care. The chicken bacon ranch wrap was packed full of flavor and my husband can't stop raving about his jalapeño burger. This will be a regular spot for us when we come up north. read more
