We stopped in while driving through Gaylord. We tried an appetizer and some beer. Oktoberfest beer was very flavorful and well balanced. The nachos were pretty good. The queso was very good and kind of thick. It was a decent size portion and had plenty of chicken on top. They were setting up for their trivia night. I highly recommend Snowbelt Brewing. The drinks, food and service were on point! I had one of the ciders - an apple pie one - and it was out of this world. One of the best ciders I've had. I also really liked my friend's tart cherry one. We each got sandwiches and split the Michigan salad - everything was so fresh and delicious. I love the shaved brussels sprouts in the salad, they make homemade dressings, and the Rachel sandwich was just so good. Everything you want in a sandwich. Perfect fresh rye made locally, fresh sliced turkey breast, an excellent coleslaw with lots of flavor, and fresh chips. So delicious, I wouldn't miss coming here every time I visit! read more

A warm, comfortable refuge from the cold and the wind. We ducked in here looking for something hot to drink and found so much more. When it was said and done we had 6 craft beers, ICED tea, a smoked turkey Rachel, chicken spinach pizza, broccoli & beer cheese soup and a chili cheese dog. All were very tasty. Jeremy was a great big help. Another helper whose name none of us remember, stood out. Just know the service here is very good and everyone is polite. Stopped here on our way to Boyne for lunch. They had a good selection of beers that my friends enjoyed, and some pop for me. The food was good, the quantity was on the medium side. I had the adult grilled cheese with all the spice. It was pretty food, very spicy grilled cheese, but nothing too out of this world. I'd eat it again, my old comment would be More! I felt that the cheese to bread ratio was more in favor of the bread, where a REALLY good grilled cheese has a more even or cheese favored ratio. Our server was very nice. She answered all our questions and always made sure our cups were full. For lunch time service I was very pleased. The ambiance is one of a brewery. They have some interesting art all around the establishment, which was nice. The one thing I'll say, being on the larger side, the chairs were not wide enough for me to sit comfortably and the seat part was slippery. Also got a very good beer, a cream ale on the suggestion of the bartender who was helpful and friendly. I should have known from the filthy hall and overflowing toilet in the men's room that the lunch experience was going to suck, boy did it. Waiter immediately began listing all the items the kitchen was out of after letting us pick our table. We popped in for lunch on our way through to Petoskey. We had been here a couple years ago, not the same anymore. Table next to us left shortly after ordering drinks, they were more unimpressed then us. But we powered through the slow service, dive food, dirty dinning room, plastic cups, miss matched plastic ware. Yes you get to dine with Dollar General's finest tableware and then saw through the oldest brisket on the block. But wait there is more you even get to pay an up charge for using you credit card when they decide you can leave. If you're looking for a yeasty experience. This place is perfect. read more

Food was good but do not come here if you do not have 3 hours to kill. Beers took over 10 minutes to come. The couple we were with never received their beers. Food took over an hour and a half to arrive (kids pizzas,nacho and the crunch wrap) and was cold. Server tried her best but it's clear that nothing is punctual around here. Kitchen and bartenders take a long time. We came here a year ago and had the same issue, lesson learned. read more
