This private space is good for meetings or any celebration. All the staff are very welcoming and very attentive. On the table, they had bread and chips to munch on while we waited for the appetizers. The appetizers that were served were (not featured because I forgot to take, sorry lol) mussels, sausages, shrimp in sauce, meat and cheese plate, stuffed mushrooms, and stuffed clam. DELICIOUS!!!! The entrée options were delicious as well, and I got the pasta with sauce and shrimp. Its always a good time!! Thank you all for a great night! Coming back soon!

Went here for a party. Place is very well decorated. Service was good. Food was ok. I got the vegetables paella. It was missing flavor. Sangrias were good.

I enjoyed everything about my experience at Lisbon Cafe. The short time I spent here I felt transported to Portugal as I sipped on Vinho Verde as I sat in their enclosed patio listening to chill music covers - it was a great vibe (Along with the cutest playful kitten roaming about... are you sure I am not in Europe? lol) To match the vibe was the excellent service from the staff. Throughout the night we had different people attending to us making sure we had a great experience. The give you freshly fried potato chips and bread to start your meal. I enjoyed some of the chips saving the bread for the meal as I sipped my wine. We dined family style and this is what we ordered: Polvo a Lagareiro - Grilled octopus with roasted peppers, onions, olive oil and garlic. Very tender and delicious. The pepper flavor infused the oil and octopus. I wish the piece was bigger. Grilled Jumbo Shrimp - Shrimp with cognac and lemon sauce. There was an option to have the shells on, but we went without. The sauce had a bit of spice to it which we enjoyed. Good for dunking bread! Mariscada Verde - seafood combo in a green sauce. The green sauce was a bit on the salty side. This came with a half a lobster, large clams and mussels and shrimp. Didnt know what to expect from the green sauce, but it was a bit more plain and salty then I was expecting. Bife a Portuguesa - grilled steak with ham and egg. From what I understand this is a staple dish in Portugal. Its easy to see why - very filing topped with sliced potatoes, ham and egg. We got our very tender steak medium and brown sauce rounds everything out. Despite going heavy on the seafood dishes this was my favorite dish of the night. Flan - This is one of the few desserts made in house and recommended by our waiter. It was tasty version and good choice. As I said the service is really top notch and just the ambience of this place is something you don't find too often on LI. I would easily come here again when I am looking for a chill night or to impress my fam with a special meal.

First time at the Mineola location for us - we used to go to the one in Carle Place by Westbury Avenue and Cherry Street. This one seems similar, but larger. We parked on the street - no problem on a Saturday night. There were eight of us at a round table and all agreed the food was delicious and nicely presented. I took two photos. The first was of the lobster and shrimp dish in a butter and wine sauce (they substituted shrimp because they said they ran out of scallops), served in what seemed like the pot it was cooked in. The second was my short ribs with peeled and roasted potato, carrots and broccoli. We had to speak loudly because there was a singer with an electric piano, microphone and speaker, which I found distracting, but which my wife thought added to the atmosphere. He sang various old standards, some I couldn't hear well enough to make out the lyrics, but most of which sounded the same to me after a while. The waiter was very attentive when taking our orders, but not so much in between - it was a busy night.... We'd go back, but my preference (FWIW) would be on a weekday night, without the music and when it's not so busy.

Amazing place to be. We were welcome with beautiful smile. We were given with beautiful selections of food. We were served with the best sangria in town. We were provided with the tastiest seafood we have ever tried. Creamy lobster, grilled octopus, royalty taste chicken and complimenting saffron rice , veggies and salads hit the mark for a 5 star review. The ending of the dining is the best as we tried the perfect sweet pair of ice cream and flan for our dessert. What a delightful dining experience here. Compliments to Jack and staff for their hospitality . Great and efficient service. The vibrant ambiance and great vibes of place added to our satisfaction. We can't wait to return.

Table of 8. Quick service & ambiance was nice. Nicely decorated. Food was delicious & so were the desserts. We will definitely return to this establishment.

I love Lisbon cafe! I only come here for the princess chicken which is my favorite favorite all time dish here. Although everything is else good, I find myself only wanting the princess chicken. My boyfriend also tried it and said it was good. We had the vodka pasta as an app along with their bread and homemade chips. Place is spacious and the staff are super friendly and nice. Live music Friday-Sunday for some amazing entertainment

Worst baked clams in history! Don't expect any clam only box made type stuffing

This place was a joke! Not the slightest bit Portuguese food at all!!! Ordered bacaloa which was hard!! The paella was water with lots of oil, they served the worst part of the lobster in the paella only the green guts! Worst were the baked clams, which was just a glob of bread stuffing with no flavor whatsoever! Then the nightmare FLAN!! Like how can you mess up a simple Portuguese flan! Flan is suppose to taste thick and creamy! This was watery! I've been to the Lisbon cafe in Carle place and the one in Jericho and they were amazing with real Portuguese food! This was like a fake fusion of Italian /American mix, NOT Portuguese!

A wonderful seafood dinner at Lisbon Cafe in Mineola. I had grouper with a seafood stuffing, my friends had the stuffed salmon and sea bass with shellfish in a lemon sauce. Their homemade sangria was very good and the service was excellent. They also have a lovely outdoor space.

I came here as a surprise for my engagement party and the place was amazing. The food was so good with amazing apps, my steak entree with medallions mushrooms and the dessert for a sweet finish. The party room in the basement was so nice and newly renovated for parties. Otovio ( i believe thats what his name is) provided great customer service. He helped us with everything from refilling our drinks constantly to helping my fiance up the stairs. I also want to thank the other staff who helped & jack who helped my fiance plan the party. The sangria was so good and flowing. I cant thank lisbon cafe enough and i will always recommend this place.

I have been coming to Lisbon Cafe for awhile now with my MIneola Chamber of Commerce for their monthly dinner meetings. There is plenty of street parking here along with a village lot not far from the restaurant. We meet in their various spacious downstairs room, (with its own bar.). Very comfortable and well lit. This is a great venue of warm colors and light (plenty of light). It's just a very comfortable setting. The staff here is very warming and welcoming. It's just a good place to be for a great meal experience. Generally for a large meal we get a sampling of different appetizers then order a main meal. Loved the chorizo, clams and shrimp dish. My main meal was salmon which was really prepared well. (There is a picture but I can't tell you about the sauce.). If you're also rice lover, this is definately a good place for you. I will make it a point to come here so I can order off the menu and really get a better flavor of all the great things here.

For my second visit, I ordered the Bacalhau a Narcisa. That was a mistake. I wish I'd ordered the Bacalhau Assado na Brasa instead. Though constantly picking bones out of my meal aside, the fish itself was pretty bland. My brother also thought his meal was bland (he ordered the Paelha). He didn't even want to take his leftovers home. The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm the whole time. It was a mild day, and yet it didn't feel like the AC in the place was turned on at all. I nearly complained to our waiter. I might be willing to give this place one more shot, but definitely for dinner. And I don't think I'll be going with the bacalhau next time.

He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. A special shoutout to Jenny Melo, affectionately known as "Jenny from Around the Corner." She was warm, welcoming, funny, and made our celebration even more memorable. We especially loved the spicy steak, pork belly with honey, sweet plantains, polenta, and the warm pão de queijo. The gauchos were friendly and made sure we never had to wait for our favorite selections. What impressed me most was that everyone in our party of seven found something they loved, from adults and teens to a first-time 11-year-old guest. The complimentary birthday dessert was a thoughtful touch that made the birthday boy feel extra special. My only complaint is that I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have gone back for seconds! At the beginning, our server informed us she would be leaving mid-service and that someone else would take over. After that, everything went downhill. Service became extremely slow, and we were left waiting for long periods without being attended to. Because of this, we barely got to enjoy the full experience or eat enough, which defeats the whole purpose of an all you can eat restaurant. By the time I considered ordering dessert, I was already frustrated with the lack of attention and decided it was better to just leave. It's really disappointing to spend a birthday dinner feeling ignored and unsatisfied especially at a place like this. Overall, instead of celebrating, it felt like we paid for a frustrating experience and had to consider spending even more elsewhere just to feel full. I'm honestly not sure if I would come back.
