We we're craving japanese and looked at yelp and this popped up. The outside and inside felt like we transported back to Japan. So we instantly felll in love with the place. The menu had so much to choose from. Portions were huge and everything was so delicious. We def will be back! Staff was really nice as well!

We haven't been here for a few years and recall at the time this place was ok. And recently Youta was rated #1 ramen in US. So we decided to give this place a try again and see what the hype was about. Hubby and I came on a Saturday at 2pm. Anytime earlier there's a waiting line. This place is a bit tight. They definitely should expand. The crepe dumplings is really juicy. We enjoyed it alot. The ramen dishes - hands down one of the best places. Their ramen is not soft and mushy. The broth has really good umami flavor. And the pork is so tender and like butter Definitely will come back again and make this place one of our go-to's.

Ordered takeout tonight and while presentation and packaging was on point, the food is much better eaten in store. I think this rings true for most if not all food. With that said, flavor was still okay. My kids enjoyed the gyudon and curry katsu. The ramen was fine but not super flavorful - plus one for not being soggy or too soft! Fries unfortunately tasted stale and the fried squid legs were also just okay. My biggest disappointment? The mentaiko pasta! I had high hopes for this one but it was just too heavy on the mayo. All in all, just an okay meal. Maybe better luck next time?

Fantastic restaurant!! Staff was welcoming and friendly. Really mimics the Japanese ramen restaurant vibes. Good was absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Loved it!!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Long Island! Went for a weekday lunch as soon as they opened. Place filled up quickly after an hour. The restaurant ambiance is cozy and welcoming. We ordered: - kanpachi carpaccio (5/5 - super fresh) - tori karaage (4/5) - youta gyoza (5/5 - must get) - spicy tonkotsu ramen (5/5 - hearty broth with some of the best pork chashu) - black garlic tonkotsu ramen (unfortunately the person I went with who ordered this started feeling ill symptoms about an hour after we left the restaurant. From their perspective, I understand why they wouldn't return here) That being said, I was fortunate to have a different experience, but their experience is something I felt important to note. Based on the food and service, I do look forward to returning to Youta Ramen to try their other dishes like the tempura don and their dessert parfait.

I've been wanting to try Youta Ramen for a long time as I saw all the great reviews over the years. I think this is the highest rated ramen place I've seen on Long Island so far, but I'm always a bit skeptical even when a place gets universal acclaim. I came to try this place out on a weekend evening recently. It was cool to see that this place has a seemingly authentic ramen shop aesthetic to it from the outside. Place was packed out for dinner time but I was able to grab a spot thankfully as a solo diner. Inside, the decor was pretty lively, cozy, and well lit. Atmosphere is probably catered toward a younger crowd that appreciates Japanese culture and I liked it. The servers had their hands full with the dinner crowd but seemed pretty warm and attentive. I decided to order the gyoza ($12) and black garlic tonkatsu ramen ($18). The black garlic tonkatsu ramen seemed like one of the most popular choices so seemed like a safe choice. I paid about $37 total with tax and tip included. I received my food and have to say that their presentation was on point. The gyoza had the crispy skirt thing going on very well. The black garlic tonkatsu ramen also looked beautiful, with appetizing pieces of chashu laid out nicely and nice glow / color on the yolk of the half egg. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food itself for the price I paid. The gyoza wasn't bad but the filling wasn't very substantial and it ultimately tasted similar to some potstickers from Costco or something. There wasn't any strong meaty flavor to the gyoza and they were so tiny. I can't believe this place charges $12 for six of those tiny gyoza's; thinking about it kind of makes my blood boil. The ramen had good flavor overall; I liked the broth cause it seemed fairly rich but not overly so. Went down pretty smooth. The chasu pieces also tasted really good. The noodles were pretty good; don't think anything stood out about it too much but it was solid. Though the ramen was good, it didn't seem mind blowing to me and it was a very small portion for $18. Ultimately, I'm glad I got to try Youta Ramen but I think the place is overhyped and overpriced based on my experience. I will give it points for its cool aesthetic and friendly customer service but there are probably better ramen spots on Long Island that deliver a better quality to price ratio.

Best ramen in long island area! The restaurant is small similar to Japan. I got the tonkotsu and the broth was flavorful. The karaage pieces were huge and juicy. The fried oysters were also great but a little pricey for what it is. Enjoyed my meal here and would definitely come back if I am in the area :)

Great food and great service. If you're looking for authentic non sushi Japanese cuisine this is the place to be. It's small and not the best for groups over 10 BUT it's a must go. Worth the wait if there is one or the drive. A local neighborhood gem with a Japan street food vibe.

This place is A-MAZING! The atmosphere felt really traditional, and the decorations were on-top! The food was also really good and flavorful! If I had to choose only one thing on this menu, it would be the tempura. Really fresh and well-made! We would definitely come here again! (^^)-

Went here with a friend because they said this is their favorite ramen place. I was thinking, how good can it be? Because I been pretty disappointed about the quality of most of the ramen served in Nassau & Suffolk county. Because the soup tends to be artificial and the noodles aren't that good. Well I was definitely proven wrong. The second you walk into this place the staff is really warm and friendly and they greet you in Japanese, one of the signs you can tell that it's a really good ramen shop, is that it was full of Asian people. We ordered the dumplings, and each got ramen. The dumplings had this crispy skin on the bottom and it was so good. It tasted very fresh and made with lots of love. The menu says the broth is simmered for 16 hours and it really shows the broth is very rich, smooth and full of so much flavor. The soup was like a nice warm hug. The noodles had a good chew to them, and they give you a very generous portion of noodles and meat! They gave us 3 very large pieces of braised pork. The soft boiled marinated egg, green onions, and bamboo shoots. I love the way they slice the green onion so thin, they complement perfectly with the soup. My friend got a green tea ice cream parfait, and they really enjoyed that. Would definitely come again. We spend such a long time deciding what to order cause we just wanted to order everything on the menu!

This was a first for me the salad that is. The flavors are so good together. I will definitely order this again. I am never disappointed with the food and service here.

Owned by another fantastic Japanese couple where the husband used to deliver the best picks of fresh fish and seafood to award winning and Michelin starred restaurants all across NYC. The space was upgraded a bit and thankfully they still retained the chef who handles the back kitchen and still deliciously creates and beautifully plates all their traditional Japanese hot dishes (please bring back the chawanmushi though!). Menu is a bit more scaled down from what it was but still all delicious and price point for it all is perfect. This spot is worthy enough to come to every day or to LIRR in from the city to eat at. Made a reservation for 8pm and were seated immediately upon arrival. Warmly greeted and seated, we ordered 2 of the chef's choice omakase boxes and 2 sushi sashimi combos. All the fish was fresh, flavorful and higher than average quality. We met the owner, Mr. Kay and shared conversation about Japan. The staff was warm and personable. We enjoyed our dinner thoroughly and will be back for the miso black cod and hamachi kama next time. Dinner for 4, no drinks, about $200 all in, more than fair, about 35% less than the same experience in Manhattan. Looking forward to coming back, just to see Mr. K., oh and the sushi is great too.
