Good service, good food. Got the deluxe chicken wrap plus avocado and fries. Family tried burgers and waffles looked pretty good. The fountain soda was a little flat but otherwise everything here was good. It's pretty close to NYU labgobe hospital with some limited parking space, but street parking readily available

Great fast service. Everything was so good. We were visiting Hofstra and while a little drive was well worth it. Love the ambiance of the place. Will definitely be going back next time we are in town!

Retro diner with typical long issuance customer service. Food was ok, not the best with cups and dish hygiene. I might eat here again only if I'm feeling retro diner experience within the area.

Great breakfast, friendly and fast service and charming old style diner. It's small so there's not a lot of space for larger groups.

This is an update of an older review. This diner is in the official registry of "original diners" and pictured in most of the books on these places. The place is amazing and the owners Mike & Shane are wonderful owners and hosts. We there for breakfast and it was truly a memorable experience. I was there with my wife and two friends. You're greeted with a smile and welcome. It is small and seating is limited but there was plenty of space for us in the side room. The food here is just amazing this morning we had the Trough which are eggs with a little of everything else mixed in. There were a couple of omelettes that are always incredibly tasty and I had the banana-buttermilk pancakes (with scrambled eggs). These were amazing-tasty-fluffy. Essentially, delicious!!! I am a member of multiple organizations and we all use this diner for meetings. It is the perfect venue with the perfect menu and great service!

The Mineola Diner is cozy and old-fashioned, staffed with friendly servers who are attentive and quick with the service. It's a great place to enjoy classic diner food in a nostalgic setting. They offer a weekend brunch menu that changes every once in a while. Definitely try their pancakes-they're heavenly good.

Very good small yet friendly classic diner. My son and I stopped by a Sunday morning around 9am for breakfast and both pleasantly surprised of their overall taste and portion size. Parking lot is small but plenty street parking nearby.

The interior gives that nostalgic retro diner feel. On a Saturday afternoon, our wait was about 25-30 mins, but it flew by quickly. Thomas's is beyond generous with their portions from the egg skillets to the pancakes. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions. And most importantly, everything here is absolutely delicious. My fiance & I ordered two orders of the blueberry pancakes, which was a mistake because of how MASSIVE each order was; we could've easily split one. We also ordered the sides of corned beef hash and ham steak. Highly highly recommend both. The corned beef hash is SO delicious & homemade, and the ham steak is huge! The staff here are really lovely and attentive. Our coffee cups never went empty. Parking is available on site, but incredibly difficult to get a spot. I wouldn't bet on parking here - be prepared to park elsewhere and walk over. Definitely our new go to diner spot!

Prices were very reasonable, and for that, when I'm in the area again I would definitely stop back in for a hearty meal.

Other than that little bit of confusion, everything else was good. Because the hospital and several doctor's offices are nearby, you'll notice a lot of hospital workers and people in scrubs coming in for breakfast and lunch, which is always a good sign. Walking in, we were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we wanted. The service was good, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a diner classic diner ambiance and casual vibes. The food was definitely yummy overall. I had the eggs over medium with corned beef hash and home fries, and that was really good. My partner had the bacon omelet, and he said the quality of the bacon was really good and that they were generous with the amount they put inside the omelet. He also ordered french fries, which he wasn't really a fan of. They had a thicker consistency and didn't have much flavor, but they weren't terrible either. One disappointment was finding out they no longer serve waffles, because I was definitely looking forward to a Belgian waffle. We ended up getting pancakes instead, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. The pancake was kind of weird it didn't absorb the syrup at all, and the syrup itself tasted watered down. I'd say stick to the main breakfast items and you'll be perfectly fine.

I was alone and despite being semi-crowded, there wasn't a wait. This place definitely gives a hole in the wall vibe and that's what I wanted. There are plenty of "brunch vibes" in Long Island and that's not what I was looking for today. Service was super prompt and the food came quick, less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Mexican omelette which was eggs, shredded chicken and oaxacan cheese. I expected the chicken and cheese to be cooked into the omelette - it was actually an egg omelette with the chicken and cheese folded inside. No complaints though; when I had enough eggs, I was able to eat just the chicken. It was well seasoned and not doused in cheese, which I appreciated. Note to self: no sour cream next time. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. It also came with toast and I added avocado, and made avocado toast... YUM. I had an iced coffee on the side. Nothing special about the coffee- not good or bad. They had almond milk and sugar-free vanilla... yay! Lastly, I took a sausage omelette with sweet potato chips to go for my son and he loved it. I would definitely come back. Ambiance has changed a lot since I was little, now going for more of a horse racing theme since they sponsor a race horse in Saratoga. Very cool but I do miss the vintage vibes! This was my first time trying the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger and it was so tasty, especially paired with the homemade fries. Milano ice cream is top-tier! It's like cookies & crème but replaces Oreo with Milano cookies. Service was a bit slow, which was odd considering we were one of two tables at the time. Also, we ordered a burger with grilled onions and ended up with a cheeseburger (no onions) instead. Otherwise, all was well and staff was very nice. We seated at a booth and greeted promptly by a server. Red through the menu and decided on a Spanish omelette. Unfortunately, some of their items don't have descriptions. I assumed a Spanish omelette would have some kind of taco meat, Spanish vegetables, etc. When it came out, it had vegetables that were sautéed in a red sauce, which were good, but there were mushrooms, which I cannot eat so I had to pick them out. If there was a proper description in the menu, I would have avoided this omelette. I did end up eating the rest of it and it was very tasty as worth the home fries and the bacon and toast were crisp and hot. Walking inside I felt comfortable and cozy with a splash of excitement due to the retro setting. I can appreciate the beautiful aesthetics and the comfortable environment. The service was quick, and the staff was attentive. Our waitress was gregarious and very kind. I tried the farmers omelette, turkey sausage, home fries, and whole wheat toast. The omelette was impeccable fresh, a true delight to my palate. The turkey sausage was an added treat, plump and juicy. The home fries were delectable given its balance of being crispy and soft at the same time. The toast is a standard taste everywhere unless you get stale bread. My plus one had the BLT which she really enjoyed but her home fries weren't to her liking due to the temperature of the food. I am giving a well-deserved four stars as this was a good find.
