And they had a different priced Specials Menu for white people that was more money. Beware if you are not Spanish! They gave us a specials menus with the shell steak with shrimp prices $39.99 but on the bill they charged us $49.99. When we questioned it they denied it and showed us a Specials menu with $49.99. On our way out we saw a table that had a menu with $39.99. As we were bringing it to the receptionist attention we saw one of the waiters grab it off the table walked passed me and shoved it behind the bar. A million times highly recommended!! We've been going to Bairrada Rodizio Grill since the early 2000s, and it's been the place for so many of our celebrations with friends and family. I'm so happy to see how much they've expanded and improved over the years. The owner, Manny, is incredibly friendly and often comes out to greet guests when he's there, which really adds to the warm, family-oriented atmosphere. The food is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the all-you-can-eat rodizio and the branzino, but honestly everything there is delicious. And don't even get me started on the desserts--Heavenly Whites... OMG!! I'm so upset when it was closed few years ago but now after it reopens, the restaurant is getting prettier and classier. The outdoor dining area is upgraded from a tent and heating system. This is a nice find for the times I want good food in a casual and classy atmosphere and just so happen to be in Long Island. This place is conveniently located within walking distance of the Mineola train station but also has ample parking in the back. Pro-tip: The entrance for the dining room is in the back parking lot, not the front, where they have a great pickup/delivery operation going on. They start you off with a deliciously fresh salad and great Portuguese rolls no matter what you order, which is appreciated. Been coming here for over 20 years as I am Portuguese. It has always been a family favorite, which is why I've extremely disappointed with the service lately. Over the past 6ish years, they've gotten really cheap with the serving sizes (takeout). I always place orders over the phone, and know the ladies at the front so when I order, I always ask for the chefs to put more sauce on the chicken as it's cooking (keeps it moist). Well apparently the chefs don't want to put sauce (even though it's what gives flavor) so the chicken has been very dry. I don't think it's worth the price. Don't know if I will ever get to Portugal, so I did the next best thing, went to Churrasqueira, in Mineola. Party of 5 we had a varied menu. From half roasted chicken, whole Bronzini, Skirt Steak, and the Rodizio. They start you off with bread and salad on the table so enjoy but save yourself for dinner. If you're hungry go for the Rodizio, non stop meat coming to the table. We had different types of desserts on the table all were good. Coffee is my pet peeve, if it comes out warm it puts a sour note on the meal but this was hot and delicious, regular and cappuccino. Service was good friendly staff and the owner came by to make sure we were happy. Don't be afraid to bring the kids very accommodating and birthday celebrations galore. The only negative is the parking very small lot for the size of the restaurant so find a spot on the street you will be better off. CIAO FOR NOW. read more

my sister treated us to a family dinner from this restaurant and we were so pleased how delicious the food was. I have to say that the rice and beans were my favorite and I normally don't eat that. It was so juicy the skirt steak was fantastic. I would order it 100 times over. My husband really loved the, seasoned vegetables as well as chicken. Everything was really juicy and cooked very well. Let me tell you about the meat; the proteins: every churrascaría should definitely boast a rapid fire array of super, hot, well-cooked beef, poultry and pork. But not all of them roll out what this place serves you, nay, barrages you with. The sliced beef roast is the best of em all. But the pork loin, the bacon-wrapped steak, the chorizo, the basic chicken drums...everything is just so filled with flavor. And speaking of flavor, I had read a review that mentioned the delicious side dishes. I hadn't really experienced sides being placed on the table of a Brazilian BBQ before. What an excellent feature. Each of these added so well to the flavors of these proteins. The greens, nice, the rice and black beans, French fries, nothing special but good to have them. But then, the plátanos, which looked like little croquettes, it took all I had not to ask for more of them. And the final word goes to a little cup of tomatoes and onions bathing in a tangy vinaigrette. Oh my god! What a perfect complement to the sizzling hot meat. Una comida perfecto! You have the option of ordering the Rodizio where servers come to your table with meats, or you can order a la cart from the menu. Our server was professional, but a little stiff. Not the friendliest guy around. Food: we ordered Porterhouse Steak - a sizable steak hits the spot. Not on par with a dedicated steakhouse like Peter Lugers, but good nonetheless. 4/5 Grilled Swordfish - very tender but was drowning in butter sauce. 3/5 Prime Rib - nice presentation with the rib. Will never come back very racist restaurant. If you are not Latin you get treated differently very sad . Very upsetting since I am not a racist and I try to keep my circle with a lot of diversity. We waited 25 minutes by the bar ordered around the drinks ok not a problem as they do not take reservations first come first serve. Then finally got seated. Was with my husband and son. Upon food order waiter said my son needs to pay full price at 12 years old and there is no sharing for the oil you can eat. OK not a problem we placed our food ordered and drinks proceeded to eat. Couple sits down directly next to us with a son my son's age. They order the all you can eat Like us . As i look over I'm noticing when they're bringing the meat they're only bringing it to the father as he is taking 3 pieces every time they come out and then putting it on his family's plate . So I called the waiter over and I say I thought you cannot share and he says yes that's right and I say well what's going on there and he rolls his eyes and walks away. Really not ok . Recommended by fellow Elite Yelper Ben L., and better still, I got to dine with him and my two Yelp Besties Jo and Bobby I. Fantastic rotation of meats during our Rodrigo dinner service. First come first serve here for smaller groups so make note, arrive earlier to get a table. No reservations unless you're a larger group (say 10+). Prime steak ribs and Picanha served here. Lots of variety of other proteins too - think pork ribs, turkey, sausages, roasted chicken and plenty of meats to go around. I really enjoyed the side dishes that accompanied the feast. We had a simple salad of lettuce, tomatoes and onions with a house dressing. Side of black beans and rice. Plantains - best I've ever had, soft, sweet, charred a bit, but oh so delicious. There was also a vinaigrette like sauce, had quite a kick to it. But also very refreshing on the meat. The sides I'm told could be refilled but we barely made a dent with all the food passing around. We really enjoyed the sangria as well. Skip the desserts, you're probably too stuffed to eat it anyway. They sure looked yummy in the display. We tried the Molotoff and the Flan. Neither were memorable or uniquely different so it was just okay for me. But it was a nice finish on the palate given the flavors of the meats still lingering in my mouth. We ordered take out.. Overall, I gotta say, it was edible, but extremely underwhelming. The chicken arrived somewhat dry and fairly bland. It just lacked real seasoning. They also did not send any kind of sauce for the chicken. Maybe that's because they sell sauce seperately for a staggering $8 for a 5oz container which is unreasonable. Fries were soggy and rice was again dry and under seasoned, Just thrown together in the same container. Again no sauce, not even a ketchup packet. Excellent ambiance service and food quality. This was quite an exceptional experience. We were quickly seated with a choice of either outside seating (covered and heated, however a bit damp due to the rains outside) or indoors. We opted for outside and got to pick our own table. Within a few minutes of seating we opted for the AYCE. We were pleasantly surprised that all of the waiters were very friendly and attentive. We always had our glasses full. As for the meats, quality was excellent and my favorite part is that they brought out 2-3 selections per server so that you don't have to wait to get a piece that you want from a different skewer. The temperature of the food was hot and the flavor was excellent. They didn't have a red/green control mechanism so you're always being offered good when they see your plate empty. We stayed for about 1.5 hours and enjoyed beef filet, bacon wrapped turkey, lamb, and surprisingly their chicken was some of the best I've ever had in any Brazilian restaurant. It took a bit to get our servers attention when we were finishing up since it was getting busy, however, for the price and amount of high quality food I'd say this is pretty close to five stars. When compared to Fogo de chao, this resistant has more of a variety of meats and side dishes. The cold buffet at Fogo is still pretty decent. If you're looking for something AYCE Brazilian I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. read more

Truly Disgraceful! - 1/4 way into "The Experience" - I actually was about to get up and told one of the "Senior Staff Members" wearing the White Shirts - that I wanted to leave. Quality of the meat was just poor and tasteless. #Service was completely disorganized; - This is a big change from when the owner is typically around (nice guy). Its obvious he kept things moving. Meat Servers were kind; But - moving slow. Selection of meats were extremely limited during our visit. #Bathroom - Unsafe; Not sure who designed them. Caution: Make sure you don't get blasted by the entrance door flying open. Bathrooms are extremely small for such a large location. #In Summary - We couldn't seem to discern who are waiter was. Was way to confusing. Nobody formally introduced themselves and we had to ask several times for drinks. Our request fell on deaf ears.
