Saw that this pizzeria in Mineola has been top ranked, not just in the city or state but nation so I decided to swing by to try it out myself! This place is known for their Roman style pizza which is similar to Sicilian. Therefore, I did not order the basic triangular shaped pizzas to try nor did I base my rating on their plain cheese slice. Upon walking in, I was greeted by one of the employees asking what I want. I asked which slice is the most popular and he told me the buffalo chicken Roman slice, barbecue Roman slice, and the burrata regular slice. Unfortunately, I only had room for one slice and I definitely wanted to try one of the Roman slices they had. There were so many choices I almost couldn't decide but the potato Roman slice called to me especially when it was topped with rosemary (my favorite!) At the cashier, I saw the frozen drinks and asked the lady what they were - one was piña colada and the other one was margarita. I ordered a piña colada, but after I paid they informed me that the piña colada was not ready and gave me a sample of the margarita to try to see if I was ok with it. I tried it and it wasn't like any other margarita I've tried. It tasted very refreshing since it was frozen and it was more lemony than margarita-y. I sat down at one of the 7-8 tables and began to enjoy my slice. It was very good and I've never seen potatoes on pizza before. I will definitely be back to try more Roman slices and the burrata regular slice since it looked very good behind the glass too. There is a restroom at this pizzeria and some diagonal parking in front which is also shared with the Mineola LIRR station.

Solid pizza. My third time coming here, but honestly the first two times I didn't get such great experiences with the pizza, maybe because I tried the really special slices. I didn't particularly enjoy one of the slices the staff recommended to me. I asked for something with more protein. He responded they all have protein and recommends me something that had so much onions and so little meat. Decided to stick to the basics this time and it was decent. The vodka sauce was creamy. Top it off with some cola and we have a solid meal.

Oh how I am so happy we finally tried the pizza here. I couldn't help myself. I had to try 3 slices. The potato slice was out of this world. Oh the satisfaction. I could eat this forever. The texture and flavor were incredible. The eggplant slice was a 4/5. And the veggie no cheese was also superb. The crust is the best I've ever had. This place hands down was the best pizza I've had. Service was great. Store was small but clean.

I want to give thanks, on this Thanksgiving. Hahaha. I love Taglio!

Your friendly neighborhood Uber driver Barry has just referred yet another passenger to the greatest pizza place in the history of the world. These two brothers are visiting someone in the hospital nearby and after that they're going to be making their first ever trip to Taglio. What can I say? I can't come here without going and getting a few slices and I refer everybody. I know to this great place. Just giving thanks on Thanksgiving.

There's some hype about this place being one of the best pizzerias on Long Island. I'm not an expert, but it was okay. Wasn't bad, wasn't great - middle of the road.

Pizza was delicious! Great selection of different pizzas - reasonably priced, space is small so getting a table might be a bit difficult during peak meal times. Service was pretty fast. You know it's good when you see local NYPD going in and out consistently getting their orders...

I had an absolutely outstanding experience here--this place sets the bar for what great pizza should be. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in every detail, and that carries straight through to the food. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The crust strikes that perfect balance--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, while the cheese is perfectly melted and generously layered without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and crafted with care. What really stood out was the consistency and attention to detail. Whether you're going classic or trying one of their specialty pies, the flavors are always spot on. You can tell this isn't just pizza--it's a passion. On top of that, the service is friendly, fast, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to--and recommend to everyone you know. Easily one of the best pizza spots around. Highly recommend.

Best Roman style pizza in Long Island hands down. Great selection of toppings so you're able to try different variations each visit. They offer all by the slice which is the best aspect. The dough is perfect with a light crunch. Service is friendly yet quick just how a pizzeria should be. Far as ambiance, it's just like all other pizzerias, but very clean. Situated next to a hospital and the Mineola train station so be prepared during peak times such as lunch and dinner hours to expect a line. Meter parking all around and it's a hit or miss. The few times I went, I was able to find a spot within three minutes.

top left regular slice, top right margarita slice bottom left grandma with pepperoni, bottom, right pesto, vodka, marinara slice.

WOW. I've been dying to try this pizza for awhile. I happen to be in Manola today so I figured I have to go. It lives up to all the hype. I tried the Margherita , regular slice, pesto/vodka/margarita slice, and the grandma with pepperoni. All of it is insanely good. I wanna go back and try every single slice they have. lol.

BBQ Chicken, chicken was rubber and bottom was charred.

Tried to give it another chance. Walked in and thought I walked into a nightclub. The music was ridiculously loud, so loud that I couldn't hear myself speak. I felt bad for the older couple that was there. They looked very agitated while eating their slices because of it. Got a BBQ chicken slice which oddly looks exactly like another slice from another pizzeria but I won't name names because apparently it triggers cocky people. The sauce on the chicken is tasty but there was barely any mozzarella cheese and the chicken was inedible. It was burnt and overcooked because the chicken bits are so small. And AGAIN the bottom was charred, not even burnt this time.

WOW! This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Every slice was fresh, flavorful, and seriously delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is spot on - they balance a modern feel with TVs and great artwork, while still keeping that classic, casual "stop in for a slice and a Coke" pizza shop vibe. Clean space, great energy, and definitely worth going out of your way for. I'll be back for more!!!

Amazing find near the mineola train station! It appears to be a pizzeria in the middle of nowhere where. But it is a gem! When you walk in you see cartoon characters art work on one side, flour and tomato on the other, and a counter displaying many of the different pies they make in front. There is a line to order pies and a line to order slices. Was you approach the back you see the menu flashing across the screens. What to choose, what to choose. There are over 20 types of pies you can create. You can have it "Roman" style or round. Be a little healthy and order one of their salads! Don't forget to get a cold beer or one of the fun Frozen sangria or margaritas. Everything was delicious! You can't go wrong with whatever you order. Looking forward to coming back to try the parm plates or heros. Looks amazing!!!

7-30-25. Pepperoni N.Y. slice, ricotta cheese white slice, mortadella slice, sausage & peppers with broccoli rabe and a margarita slice.
    Anthony S.

7-30-25. My 2nd time here. Definitely a notch above your average Long Island pizza joint. You can certainly taste the quality of the ingredients they use to prepare their pies. Today I tasted a white slice, a mortadella and pistachio slice, a broccoli rabe with sausage and peppers slice, a New York pepperoni slice and a burrata slice. I have to say they were all really good but the pepperoni slice and the burrata slice were fantastic. The doough is excellent and it has just the right amount of char which provides a blend of crunchy and chewy that will have your taste buds wanting more. Most of the slices are $6.25, which I feel is a little steep even for today's prices, but as I mentioned, the quality of ingredients provides a noticeable difference. It's a pretty busy pizza place and they do a lot of take out. If you want to dine in, there are probably about 9 or 10 tables inside......so if you walk in, grab a table because they get gobbled up quickly. My only issue with this establishment is ordering is a bit of a sh!t show. There's plenty of people behind the counter but they aren't all helping customers. They shift back and forth preparing pizzas, taking orders and checking on what's in the ovens. If you don't speak up and are a little pushy, you might get overlooked or others "in line" may just jump ahead of you if they make eye contact with one of the employees before you do.

I was driving so I passed on the alcohol. Then we got our individual pizza set ups and a lesson. It was fun! They gave us some toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms and peppers. We made our pizzas and they took them away to be cooked. We then had a choice of salad, Caesar or house. Everyone liked the salad and the dressings. We got our pizzas back in pizza boxes so we could eat some and take some home. Then they came around with a plate of cookies! The owner came over to talk to us, she said that they were planning to have pasta and mozzarella making in the future and told us about the other events that they have. Live music, bingo etc. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Sweet and genuine. She also showed concern about the parking situation and offered a reimbursement for the parking garage. We declined that offer, it was only a couple of dollars for the time that we spent there. If I had to be very picky the only one suggestion that I have would be that they add some basil/ oregano/garlic/pepper to the sauce or on the table, the sauce was very plain. Other than that, everything was amazing and so much fun, well worth the price that we paid ($40 pp including gratuities) for everything that we got!

This review is based off the most recent taste of their food that my friends catered. They moved into the neighborhood and hosted a meal from Spaghettini. We tried a bunch of their food, and it did not get a better rating. The best thing I had was definitely the Italian Meatballs, which were tender and quite good. However, the sauce was a bit thin. The Chicken Francaise was pretty decent too, but nothing special. Pizzas were fine, but I did not enjoy the crust on either. Rigatoni w/ Vodka Sauce and Steamed Vegetables were average. The worst was probably the Buffalo Wings. Can't imagine the rest of their menu gets much better, so I'll stick with Taglio nearby.

The broccoli slice seemed like it was going to fall apart but it held together very well, it was also very light in weight but fluffy as can be. I was amazed but found it was the least of the two. Still enjoyable, I finished it. The sausage and peppers, AMAZINGLY delicious! Just enough sauce to keep it moist. Also not a very heavy slice yet really tasty. The strategy here is simple. You order a pie--half pepperoni, half prosciutto. The prosciutto does exactly what it needs to do, but the pepperoni is the real headline act.
