I come here so often that I'm 90% sure that half of the employees recognize me. Specially that one guy with the long hair who wore the funny Disney princess sunglasses that one time. If I come here all the time then, I'm pretty sure that I like the food. Anyhoo, I'm writing this review right now because I'm bored waiting on my food. Soooo, I love Lit Pizza! This was my first time visiting this location. Two gentlemen were working the front and about six customers came in back to back. These two guys did their best to save face, but I could tell they were definitely miserable. Soon the manager came out and rang up one customer and left. The guys were clearly upset with him and he seemed upset with them. He came out about ten minutes later and started to reprimand the two gentlemen. Just seemed like a very toxic environment. I hate that for them. They had a crowd and tried to multitask and help one another out since it was just those two for quite a while, but not to the manager's approval. I would've liked for my pizza to stay in a little while longer, but as I stated the guys were trying to keep up with the crowd and make the best out of an unpleasant situation. read more

I got the gluten free crust just for the hell of it & that was pretty good too. Sauce was on point not sweet at all. Loved the flavor the open fire gives it. I am a frequent patron to LIT pizza. Since they opened I usually visit once a week.. lol. I'm not a huge fan of pizza in general, but LIT has some of the best. I love that I can "craft" my own pizza. I joke that it's the subway of pizza joints. The ingredients are always fresh and there are plenty to choose from. They have all the traditional toppings,but I was a little shocked that they do not have spinach. There are several unique options, habenero honey, grilled onions, Himalayan pink salt and andoulli just to name a few. You can get as many or as few toppings as want, the price is the same. The employees are always friendly, the food is always good, service is quick and the price is right! Dinner for two is less than 20 bucks! I would definitely recommend this place. ***Tip.. ask for the pizza to be cooked well done! And at $8 for a specialty pie or 2+ toppings of your own choice, the value is great. The thin crust personal-sized pizzas are definitely enough to fill you up, and have some leftovers. The line moves quickly so don't be deterred if you see people out the door. The built-in wood fired pizza oven is constantly rotating, and your personalized creation is ready in a flash. I had just finished filling my cup with Blood Orange Lemonade (so good, don't miss this) and they called my name. They also have salads, and local beer on tap. This is the second location I've tried and Julie's first. It's hard to beat, exactly what you want. They went out of their way and chopped Julie's veggies fine like she likes, and cooked her crust crispy. It's fun I like picking and choosing toppings. The line was short and the pizza comes fast. My first bad experience here ! My pizza got stuck so a big chunk of it was gone so they offered to remake it . So I asked them since I had to wait if I could have my messed up pizza as well. He never asked even after I asked if he would ask the manager. Then when the manager walked by I asked him and he said he already threw it away ! Lit pizzas are cooked in a brick oven which is my favorite way to cook a pizza because it makes the flavor amazing ! They also offer gluten free pizzas made with cauliflower crust for a $2 upcharge . Atmosphere- Its actually pretty nice the walls are covered in white subway tiles with photos walls too and mostly wooden tables and booths. There is also outdoor seating as well . It's very appealing to the eyes and gives you a good warm vibe. Your order your pizza at the counter sort of like a fancier version of subway but it's a pizza parlor ! The food- I got the buffalo chicken pizza which was AMAZING for $8. It came with a white sauce and buffalo sauce mixture then it was topped with chicken, bacon , jalapeños, blue cheese, then I added onions . I had it drizzled with ranch and buffalo sauce. Then it was topped off with fresh cilantro and I added fresh Parmesan cheese . There are many choices or you can build your own pizza or salad. Service - was pretty good I think there can be some improvements made . They were friendly but there was only one guy at first making the pizzas and two behind the counter just talking . The guy did burn a small portion of my pizza but he cut it off truly I love burned bread so if I would have saw it first I would have told him to just leave it. I was admiring the atmosphere abs taking pictures to share my fellow yelpers! Overall- I love the reward system they have it gives you 2 points per dollar spent. When you pay out at the end it asks you if you want to join their rewards program ! I know this will be a regular spot for my family so get out there and check them out !!! This is a great addition to the Zachary area! You can get unlimited toppings for only $8 a pizza which honestly isn't a bad price ! My mom had actually got this for supper the night before so I got to taste the buffalo chicken and the pesto prior both were really good. My dad had already ate all the lit pizza with all the meat ‍! We went for an early dinner during an LSU game, so it wasn't very busy. We'd tried the week before and it was PACKED so I highly recommend getting there early or be prepared to wait a while. We ordered two off the menu pizzas for our first try. They let me add roasted garlic at no extra charge. The pizzas tasted great, and for an $8 pizza, I couldn't finish it. Next time we go, we'll probably order a pizza by picking our own items to try that out. For $8 for all the different toppings you want, you can't beat it! The only thing we might ask them to do differently next time is to cook the pizza a little bit longer so that the crust is a little more crunchy. Other than that, it was a hit! Give them a try. Sitting in the parking lot after waiting over 15 minutes to be waited on. I told the young lady she needed to change her gloves because she has touch the register, taken payments and used the marker. She said I have gloves on. I said yes but you've touched everything with those gloves. She said I can't change them because we are running out! That is NASTY AND DISGUSTING! (Go early if you want the cauliflower crust! Apparently it's a big hit!) I went here yesterday for lunch and everyone was so especially nice that i had to review. Pizza was great as always and I love how fast it cooks. I got 1/2 easy capreese which wasn't my favorite but not bad. The other half was the maui which is great as always (I highly recommend adding the honey habanero drizzle) and my grandma and I enjoyed our lunch. Only issue is that this restaurant is always busy which isn't a bad thing depending on who you ask haha.
