Let's start by saying I just hate buffets. Mr Gatti's is exceptional. It's clean, the staff works hard at keeping it clean. The staff works hard at keeping it stocked! One of my issues with all you can eat places is people don't understand the difference between all you can eat and all you can carry. I had spaghetti, salad, and some pizza. Julie found some cinnamon rolls with icing for desert. I enjoyed it. It's ten bucks a person plus a couple bucks for a drink. Folks that came in after us were the kind of people that don't shy away from calories. It's kid friendly, they have an arcade that wasn't open while we were there. So yeah, bring everyone. Fill up. My wife and I took our 7-year-old & 14-year-old grandsons out to dinner and they wanted pizza of course. So the best place to go was here to the buffet so they could get all they wanted and then go play in the game room. This place has been around since I was a teenager. Great history and food. They have pasta and a salad bar and will make any pizza you want and let you have first pick before putting it on the buffet. read more

Yesterday a coworker and I had lunch at the Denham Springs location of Mr. Gatti's for the first time. The location was packed and the staff appeared overwhelmed. We ordered two adult all you can eat buffets one with water and one with a drink. The buffet comes with salad bar. I requested the cashier, whose name plate said manager, type in my rewards account using my phone number. She told me to use my app and scan it. I said I use my phone number. She appeared unaware of how to accomplish the task and mentioned again about scanning. I said other locations have no issue with this and she became agitated and curt with me. She proceeded to make attempts to accomplish the task and finally confirmed my name. Then she said I am not sure you earned your points. She called a male coworker who was cutting and serving pizza to help the process. He asks what he could help with, I said I have given the lady all this information. He asked again, I provided my phone number and he claimed it didn't exist. I told him your coworker entered it and called my name. He re-entered my phone number and it appeared. We requested 2 thin crust pizzas and then had to stand in a line for salad. The service space not very long causing a bottleneck at the pizza area. Other Mr. Gatti's have a long service counter allowing ample area for salad and pizza service. After time passed, I went up to the male pizza cutter to see if our pizza request was on buffet. I told him what I requested and it was coming out of the oven. He cut and plated the pizza and placed it in the back of the pizza serving area. He knew I was waiting for the pizza, yet placed it where I had to reach over several pizzas and wait until other customers in line moved so I could reach my pizza. My coworker's pizza request was handled the same way. The pizza was good, but the customer service was deplorable and as a result will never visit this Mr. Gatti's again. read more

Mr. Gattis is a really great place for eating a mountain of pizza, with a cornucopia of flavors from vegetarian to meat lovers to desert pizzas.My girlfriend and I arrived at Gatti's pizza about an hour before closing last night(Monday) for the pizza buffet and some arcade games. I loved the Hawaiian pizza(more pineapple please)and bbq chicken pizza, most of the pizzas were still fresh even though we were close to close. I absolutely love the hot and fresh cinnamon sugar sticks, so buttery and perfectly cinnamon-y :) Unfortunately my girlfriend was hurt by one of the arcade machines falling apart and the supervisor and staff did a good job helping alive the pain and accommodate her. read more

Stopped in here Saturday night for cheap and quick dinner. 2 adult dinner buffets with 2 waters under $25... Can't complain about the price!!! We were greeted immediately with smiling faces. After ordering we were asked if there was any particular pizza we wanted them to bake. There were plenty to choose from already and we were in a rush so we did not make a request. Pizza was hot and fresh. There was a large salad bar and a few pasta options. There was ample seating available. We chose a small room off to the side away from the crowds. There was a large TV playing cartoons in the corner. I don't know if there are waitresses... If so I never so one, but there was a young man bussing tables and keeping everything clean. I didn't venture into the game room but it looked packed with video games. I recommend this place if you are looking for something quick and cheap... Definitely not gourmet pizza but for less than McDonald's I felt happy with my purchase!!! read more

Awesome restaurant! We were traveling from Texas to Florida, and found them on the map about two hours before we stopped. It was so worth it! Great food, extremely clean restaurant, and very friendly staff. Prices are great, too. I highly recommend them! We may stop again on our way back through. read more

Great place for the family! We love coming here for pizza buffet and staying for the arcade after for the arcade. Great salad bar and dessert pizzas too. We have yet to make it but they often have kids night with a fun balloon making and face painting clown (double check me on this.) Convenient location and I love that the trampoline park and sweet rolls ice cream is down the street. Love it! read more

Decided to take the boys somewhere to eat and play and thought this would be a good place for it. As we're standing in line waiting to pay I see a y'all man not sure if he was the manager or not but I sat there and watched him put tomatoes on the salad, then wipe his hands on his pants, reach up and adjusted his hat THEN touch more food! I wished I had told my Husband we had to leave then. I'm sick to my stomach. Not sure if it was the food or what. I went in with my Fiancé and my 6 and 1 year old I spent 33 dollars and when we went to sit down the high chairs for little kids don't have straps so my 1 year old kept standing up so I decided I wouldn't eat to let everyone else eat while I hold the baby I asked for a refund for only my buffet that I never got anything haven't been there 3 minutes and the "manager Morgan " told me she was not giving me a refund because they had food and they couldn't help me with the problem I had... well you see if my kid could be strapped in then I could have ate not fighting with my kid so I left without ever eating anything and did not get my money back... read more

My family & I went here last night. All I can really say is that this restaurant has the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. When we arrived they had one register open. When we finally finished that process and made it to the area that you fix your plates & drinks. The pizza staging area was gross, pizza pieces everywhere and no clean plates. My son & daughter each ordered a speciality pizza and was told 6 minutes. In the meantime they decided to take something else to eat and wait on the pizza. We went to find a place to sit and all we found were dirty tables and nowhere to sit. As we waited to find someone to clean a table for us, I counted the dirty tables, there were 12. For this restaurant to be so busy on a Friday night they are seriously understaffed. We waited with hot food on our plates for 10 minutes while we waited for them to clean us a table. Ridiculous! 45 minutes later the special pizzas they ordered still had not come out so I asked to see a manager. He was the most unprofessional person I had ever spoken to in a restaurant in regards to a complaint. He told me "what do you expect with us having 300 people walk through the door in a night?" Seriously?? I expect your staff not to tell my children that they will be receiving a pizza in 6 minutes and then 45 minutes later while they had been waiting on said pizzas be told they haven't even been put in yet. We will never return to this restaurant. The manager and staff need to be retrained in customer service and satisfaction. They also need to be retrained on cleanliness, it was kind of strange to me to see they guy that was cutting the pizza just throw the pizza pans on the floor to get them out of his way once he was done with them. read more

Alright look y'all, you if you want gourmet pizza and a boujee restaurant experience, maybe 8$ for a buffet isn't where you're going to get it. I really like Gatti's. The pizza is awesome for buffet pizza. They keep it pretty well-stocked and honor special requests. I will say that I KNOW not to come during peek times, so maybe that is why I can give a positive review. My kids played at the arcade for the first time tonight. They said it is "okay." Staying in Baton Rouge for a few weeks with 3 kids, have been seeing endless commercials for Gatti's awesome Buffett and Mid Way. Decided to go. Called the one on Essen, and he said the Denham Springs had a better arcade. Took another family with us, and drove the extra 12 miles. As we were walking up to the entrance, a family of six was coming out complaining "and they wonder why they have so little business". We got in line behind a family of 5 at the register. They turned and walked out. We were next. It was 2:10. We were told the buffet is closed between 2-5. VERY misleading. We probably would have stayed, but the "midway" was pathetic. A small room with a few games. The people behind us also left. By my count, that's 30 people in five minutes time. I don't have a business degree, but simple economics tells me that's not what owners want to see. We went to the Chuck E Cheese down the road. Spent $80 bucks there. But at least I knew what I was paying for. read more

This place never disappoints. Monday and Tuesday is kids night. Kids eat free with an adult buffet purchase and drink. My 7 year old and I came here after school for dinner. Everything was just coming out the oven. We had salad, spaghetti, Mac n cheese, cheese sticks and pizza. The only thing we had to wait on was dessert. This review is based on multiple visits since the flood. There are signs when you walk in that state you must purchase a buffet to enter. Expect $8 for adults and the price per child depends on their age range... seems like 6-9 are about $5. Kid drinks are $1 and adults $2. Specials: Don't look at online specials as they do not honor them at this location. That's one of the reasons for the lower score overall. The online deals are often way better than what the local owner/manager is willing to offer. Coupons do arrive in the mail so watch for those. We haven't been so I'm unsure of the stipulations but they advertise 99 cent for kids on Monday nights. If you wish to order their pizza you can call and ask about their daily specials (we've never ordered their pizza bc there's so many other really good pizza places around here now.) Parties: Don't invite your family and friends- do one or the other bc there's not enough room for a large crowd in the party room. They'll open doors but then you can't see everything going on. Seating within that room was almost exclusively for the children eating at the table. Order plenty of extra pizzas for the adults too. Buffet: kids love it! The salad bar has looked messy a couple times that we've been but other times someone is right there wiping down and refilling items. Pizza isn't great but the kids do enjoy it and there's a variety to pick from. Game room: there's a lot of variety when it comes to the type of games but it can get really crowded. Prior to the flood they won tickets and now everything is recorded on a card... the younger kids don't like that as much bc they can't visually know how many tickets they have won. read more

This was just enough pizza and fun for me and my two year old! We definitely had more fun than chuckee cheese. Small playroom with games that were appropriate and all worked! There were 3 birthday parties going on when we went on a Sunday and we still did not have to fight over a game. The pizza was good for a buffet with a lot of unique choices like BBQ chicken, and taco. My son loved the pesto pasta and the cinna sticks. Last evening, 18 Feb 2019, I stopped at Gatti's in Denham Springs, LA, to get a carry-out pizza between 5:30 and 6:00. I didn't know it at the time that Monday night was Kids' Night. The place was rocking! While I was waiting for my carry-out, I couldn't help but notice the efficiency of the team of young women that were working that shift. There were either five or six teenagers keeping the place running like a well-oiled machine. I had never seen anything like it. I assume that each of these teens was working an after-school job, so they had to be tired, and they may still have had homework to do after their shift. It was like a beehive all abuzz with so much activity that I don't know how they could keep up, but they did, and they were all polite, friendly, and unruffled with the pace they had to keep. I let the manager know that I was amazed and impressed. I doubt she was even twenty yet, but she certainly knew how to run a business. Congratulations to the owner, the manager, and the team of employees! You deserve some kind of corporate or Chamber of Commerce award. I am looking into it. I entered in to your establishment this afternoon at 2:03 pm. There were 7 pizzas still on the buffet line, one had been cut minutes before my arrival as I was informed by an employee. I asked for the buffet special and they said it was closed which is understandable. I then inquired how to purchase the fresh pizzas that were out on the line, I was informed that you cannot purchase them and that policy states that they must be thrown away. I could only order a pizza and have it made for me. I tried to negotiate in any way possible and was told that no matter what, it has to go in the trash. I was willing to pay for all of the pizzas to make sure they weren't thrown out and was still told no. There is a large community here in Denham Springs that has no food or is struggling everyday while the employees at your establishment throw more than enough food away to feed 6 families for two meals and that is just at lunch. I have supported Gatti's because the food is good and its a smaller chain which most of the time these types of businesses have the community in mind as well as their business. Blatent waste even when someone is trying to purchase what will be wasted and give to people in need is a blatant slap in the face to this community. read more

My son would have given this place 5 stars, but what kid doesn't love pizza? To be fair, we did come in at 2 pm on a weekday, which makes for a totally different experience that visiting on a Saturday afternoon or evening. So take this review with a grain of Parmesan cheese if it doesn't jive with your experience. The restaurant was clean and I liked the overall layout ass well as the design of the tables (way better than the standard checkered tablecloths.). Pizza itself was passable at best with small selection. Keep in mind that they were trying to shut down for the afternoon. We were able to get 2 fresh pizzas made, so really can't complain about that. However, it was kinda difficult to get an employees attention regarding anything. PIn conclusion, I really wanted to like this restaurant and help raise their rating, but the limited selection versus $10 price point left me with a middle-of-the-road feeling. read more

This place used to be pretty decent, but then the General Manager, Mike, started getting lazy and employing on high school kids, which is when the downfall of this place began. I have been cursed out by a girl working here named Megan (I made sure I got her name) and reported to the manager only to have nothing done about it. They recently removed all specialty pizzas from their buffet, claiming that "Oh, we don't carry that anymore." Well all the other Gatti's in the area carry them. Shows me that these little kids just can't handle the pressure of the food business and are too lazy to make any specialty pizzas. I recently tried to give them another try and ordered a simple sausage pizza, only to find the bottom completely burnt and unedible. To make matters worse, when I called to question them, they hung up on me not once, but TWICE. Terrible place, and definitely not safe for children as the staff is often hostile and curse at each other from across the establishment. Just absolutely terrible. One star is not low enough for these clowns. read more
