Absolutely positively delicioussss The place was a bit seedy. But you knew the pizza was going to be good! I've been wanting to try this place every time I saw the name. Silly name. Serious pizza. The garlic knots were absolutely divine. They were not overly greasy and had a great flavor and softness. The cheese Quattro pizza we had was amazing. We indulged in it before it had a chance to cool off. The cheese had a nice pull, there was a good cheese to sauce ratio. The sauce was perfect. Not too sweet or tangy. And the crust OMG! Crunchy and easily foldable like a New York style pizza should be. What can I say but we got Schlitty! We went on a Sunday evening which was nice in the downtown area. Had a good experience at Schlitz & Giggles overall. The food was great - especially the pizza. It's NY-style and honestly better than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Service was good as well - friendly and attentive, even if things moved a bit on the slower side. That said... the cleanliness could definitely be improved. The washroom in particular was pretty rough. For a place serving solid food, this is something they really need to do better. In town for a conference & it's kind of our little tradition to try a local pizza joint. First, love the name. The vibe was low-key. Server was really sweet. My glass was never empty. We had the knots. Lots of butter and parm. We liked the crunch of the knots. Could have turned the heat down just a bit and cooked for a few minutes more. They were good though! This place is just the best after hours, late night pizza date place in BR. Located downtown so you can walk over after any festival or event to grab a slice. My favorite pizza is the Meatttyyy, it's the meat lovers and it's delicious. The traditional pepperoni is great too! A local told us to come to this pizza joint. They said they were good but slow. And they were right. We got the nachos and the mmmmmeaty pizza. The nachos were good but the cheese was over melted and made it are to get the chips off the foil with any of the good stuff. The pizza was pretty tasty and did take a while. They make them to order and you can get watch them assemble the za right in front of you which is cool. They do have some beer on tap as well if you just want a pint and a slice. read more

I took the kids here for lunch yesterday. Parking was a breeze if you go during the day on the weekend. We went on a Saturday at 3 PM, and if you drive straight past the restaurant on N. 3rd Street towards the water, you can just grab free parking along the street. If you can't find street parking, there is also a huge lot right there. The neighborhood feels safe, and during the day on a weekend, this is a great spot for lunch. I wouldn't be caught dead here with kids in the evening, though, because this place gets packed. When you walk in, you can just seat yourself. I recommend going up the staircase that will be on your right and grabbing a spot up top. From there, you can see the whole bar area below and watch your pizza being made, and you can see many widescreen TVs broadcasting ESPN to keep everyone busy until the food comes. Service was not slow or fast, but kind of in between. We ordered the garlic knots, a large pizza, and a few sodas. I would say it took roughly twenty minutes for our food to come. The servers were all so polite and professional. The only thing that was a bit icky was the bathrooms, but we didn't go for the bathrooms. The garlic knots were literally one of the best things that I have ever tasted. Do yourself a favor and order the large. They won't go to waste. They are worth the drive all by themselves. The pizza was huge, and you have to eat it like a Yankee and fold that bad boy in half. This pizza is DELICIOUS. We were all satisfied and super happy with our meal, the service, and the location. We had enough for leftovers the next day. Do yourself a favor and go for a short walk on the water after your meal. An excellent way to round out a Saturday. 100% will go back. read more

Off and on busy day downtown. I had friends visiting from out of town, and they liked the name (hey, it's a silly name, serious pizza place, right!?) We arrived at 6:30 to a nearly empty place with dirty tables but we wiped them down. Service - 10/10. I wish I would have gotten her name, but we were her last table and she had put in a busy day. She was still all smiles and very conversational with the group. She was a delight and really probably earned two of the stars here. We put in our order, drinks came, and we settled in to wait. And then we waited more. We saw our server check with the kitchen and she nodded our way that she had poked the kitchen. So then we waited a lot longer. People had come after, eaten, and left. Finally she came back and said it had taken way too long, apologized, and they were comping our whole meal. (Of course we asked to be charged for a drink so she could get her appropriate tip - we aren't degenerates.) Then the manager came to reiterate the apology and our pies arrived. They didn't make excuses, they were honest it was a mistake and made it right.... i didn't know places still did that! I like NY style, so the foldable thin crust is my jam. I love the Kitchen Floor pizza because it's a little of everything and the toppings stay put. The others enjoyed the Big Pepperoni and said it was good. All in all, it's pretty on par with past experiences here, but the place could have been a bit cleaner, and the kitchen could have paid attention to the two pizzas we ordered. Staff and management made up for it which was great. I'll prob just stick to my late night pizza grab from now on, but it was an easy and good enough experience for us. read more

Loved the service! Our waitress was super nice. The view from the second floor is great, they also have comfortable booths to sit in up there. They have three large televisions for entertainment. We went eat at Schlittz and Giggles while waiting for the Spanish town parade. Usually, we love this place and come here often, but after today I am kind of disappointed! A group of us sat down and ordered a single pizza and water. I was looking at the bill at they charged us $20 for water. I asked and the waitress said they don't usually charge for water, but since it was a parade day, they were charging $4 for water! I understand that you're trying to make money, but they had plenty of buisness! No need to charge people for things you don't typically charge for on a regular basis! This place is in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge and the only sign of life amid the COVID in this area. At first glance, you may second guess going in but then the smell of fresh baked pizza and smiling faces Greeted me. Al I needed to encourage a visit. This place has a unique style of pizza. The edge crust is fairly thick but the middle is the thinnest pizza I have ever seen, by far. I mean, it's so thin it's almost not even there. Paper thin, almost literally. Taste is good but it's hard to get past crust that thin. Service was very good, friendly and fast. Honestly, that what earned the 4th star. Place is definitely "divey" but it's by intent, that's the atmosphere they create so it's all good. Overall, good enough to go back but if the crust was literally 5x thicker it wouldn't be too thick. This place was located across the street from our Marriot hotel. So we figured we'd try it out when in the mood for pizza. We were also intrigued by the name. I'd say it was ok! Pizza was pizza and garlic knots were garlic knots. It wasn't anything spectacular but I enjoyed it. Personally think the interior could use an upgrade. My seat was ripped and I was basically sat in an uncomfortable hole. The place does get very busy Friday and Saturday nights, from what we could see and hear from the hotel. Great service. Walked in for a quick dinner, and we each ordered a slice of pizza. Note that the slices are thin, New York style and a single slice is closer in size to two pieces if you had za elsewhere. We also got a small order of the knots - delicious and they are each pretty big. Football was on TV. We sat upstairs, and after about 20 minutes the smoke from the ovens started bothering our eyes. So this place, when you first walk in, is a complete sh*t hole (sorry for the language ). The place looks super dirty and all the tables are broken and wobbly, my phone could literally slide down my table. Some people call that character, I call it broken. HOWEVER, don't let the super unlevel tables, danky ( is that a word?) looking walls and the fact that literally everything in there leaves you slightly afraid to touch anything, fool you. The pizza is BOMB. The pizza is my favorite pizza around ! That's why this place gets 4 stars. After a nearby establishment (that my birthday girl badly wanted to visit, and had invited all her closest friends to) would not open their doors because they "didn't feel like it," we decided to go here instead. We moved tables around, made lots of noise, and all of the staff seemed happy to accommodate our party of 17 at the last minute. The food was amazing and arrived quickly after ordering.
