Terrible Experience - Dishonest Practices I had a really frustrating experience with this company that I feel needs to be shared. We inquired about an issue getting our lights checked out. We spoke to two different men and the very first thing we always ask before getting these services done is if they provide free estimates. We were told YES from both employees. When the two men arrived at our house, it completely changed. After they inspected the problem, they then informed us that they would be charging $95 for the estimate! This was a complete contradiction to what they had initially said. They tried to justify the charge, but it felt like a blatant bait-and-switch. We were NEVER even given a price for the estimate prior to the men arriving. It's one thing for a company to charge for an estimate, but don't lie about it, be upfront. The lack of transparency and dishonesty is inexcusable. It's disappointing to see a business take advantage of people, especially when they're vulnerable and just trying to get some help. I will definitely not be using their services again, and I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company. read more

Like so many people, my house was damaged by Hurricane Helene and needed electrical repairs. I had no idea who to call. At random, I called Lite Electric and it was smooth sailing from that point on. It started with Ms. Dianne manning the phones. She was pleasant, reassuring and easy to talk to. The next day, Carlton and Josh came to my house and got to work. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to as well. They made the necessary repairs quickly and said that the damage was not as extensive as originally thought. They ended up taking $350.00 off of my bill..!!! I was thrilled, not only with their ability to get the job done successfully and quickly, but also with their honesty and integrity. I'm going middle of the road for this company but absolutely NOT 5 star. We have had them out twice. Our first experience was top notch so we hired (or tried) to hire them again. We needed an outlet installed so we called them first. We were looking forward to getting the work done but were willing to wait based our our first experience. When our scheduled date/time arrived, we took time away from work to meet the electrician. He said that some extra work would need to be done to install the outlet but that he would email us an estimate and reschedule the work. Though we were disappointed that we couldn't get the work done that day, we patiently waited for our estimate. That was almost two weeks ago now. We never heard back. Reliability goes a long way when hiring a contractor and sadly, they completely let us down. Now to find a reliable company to do the work for us. read more

Recently moved to Augusta and needed electricians to help me out with a down-to-the-studs home renovation. These guys were awesome. They showed up on time (rare here, in my experience!) and when they realized I had no idea the full scope of the work I'd asked them to do, they called the owner and had him come out to assess the situation. They performed due diligence investigating the mid-century wiring in my house to make sure they weren't taking out anything vital and kept me apprised of their findings along the way. They ended up giving me a break on pricing because the job probably should have been quoted in advance (but I hadn't realized that). They could have charged me an arm & leg for time & material pricing, but they didn't! I called them in again for the next phase of my renovation (got a quote this time) and they came in over $100 under quote. These guys are honest, diligent, on time, and thoroughly awesome.
