Used to love this business. Went to various events, swaps, first Friday's, etc. Yet, my last was the one that said no more. Was walking to Kindered for a plant swap and saw a sign at Love Potion for an Open House Friday (All are welcome) September 19th, 2025 4pm to 9pm. Thought hey,I'll pop in a stop in, check out Orcale/Tarot while waiting for a reading... so just browsing, plants I got at the mentioned swap in hand.. was approached by one of the staff unsure her name. (Blonde, kinda chubby) She asked if I needed help. Told her I was looking for an Alice in Wonderland Deck. She told me about one but was keeping an eye on me like I was about to grab a bunch of stuff and leave. Yes I did have a recyclable Bag, carrying two plants and kinda sweating from the heat and walking about a mile. Yet no excuse to judge a person based on this. Does this business question everyone that has a bag? A plant? Or shows sweating? Is this how you do business? My girlfriend was looking around at the crystals looking for the perfect one. She bought a lot in the past but wanted to find a center piece. Yet, no employee approached her... yet, being a "Male" seemed I was already judged. All the while of my girlfriend and I are together (side by side) in the store, we get the occasional hey, if you need anything feel free to ask. Then they go about their business. Yet, when alone, I'm all of a sudden suspicious... this place I feel gender profiles. Female=O.K. Male=Thief As an identified male, I would not recommend this place again. First time this happened I thought it was a fluke. As a Libra, we give second chances. Yet, this was the second time this happened. Yes, I know you have to protect yourself from potential thefts. Unfortunately, this establishment does not have an accessible environment for disabled people and likes to lie about it. They have steps up to their restroom and a very heavy door that you have to manually push open to use. I feel like businesses can get away with a lot because they are "a small business " but lying about accessibility on Google is really low. The staff will also follow you around and make you feel like a thief, unfortunately, especially if you were part of the queer community, which they also lie about being supportive of. read more

Coming from Los angeles, where we had places like the psychic eye, I mean this by no means compares, but its the closest thing to it and its not so far away. The store itself is wonderful with lots to look at. Crystals, cards, candles, smells.... The prices are very fair, I think. As for the readings..... I would say I like to give people tries and ive done so about 3 times at this store. Regardless of the reads each and every one of the employees is a darling and eager to help and answer questions! IF you wanna try a reading, at least it wont be an arm and a leg. The first reading I had was a female and the questions I had were a bit clarified and interesting. Thumbs up, i cant remember her name, ill update it next time im in vancouver if i figure it out. She used tarot The second time was I believe the store owner. Her reading was ok but kinda helpful. As for the third, it SUCKED, and i mean it sucked hard, just like the were awkard, ????, this makes no sense, the young lady read with a type of oracle deck but it was very generic, this card meaning...... and that was kind it. This place is Magickal! No really, its pretty darn awesome! How did I miss this place for so long! I live in downtown, eat in downtown, and must have passed by a hundred times and just never paid attention to what this store was. I saw a glimpse of this place come across a facebook feed so I had to yelp it up to get more info. A crystal and metaphysical shop right here in the heart of downtown Vancouver, no way! I love going to these types of places but they usually only exist in large busy ultra urban areas (last one I went to was in Vancouver BC) so to find this store is amazing. When I entered I was greeted with a warm welcome. The place was lively and smelled divine! They have a huge selection of crystals, incense, books, and so much more. The crystal are priced very well. The hardest part is selecting the right one, there are so many!!. The employee was very knowledgeable on the uses/purse of crystal(s) so that was helpful. I found a beautiful calcite to add to my collection. I also picked up a cool gargoyle, one that i've actually never seen,. score! Went to this shop for the first time today and I loved it! It has such an awesome and comfortable vibe and the people were incredibly nice. Available to help without breathing down your neck or trying to hard sell. Its nice to just wander around and see what speaks to you. They have a good selection so theres a bit of everything for everyone, but its also not so crowded that you feel like youre shopping someone garage hoard. Make sure you bring your mask since they require it to enter. I will def be be back to both shop and participate in events. So happy this place is here! read more

Eventually, I made it over to the web page. There's LOTS to choose from, lots of mixing-matching aromas & special orders and there's an online forum to help w/questions. Payments are made via PayPal (pay after delivery) and shipping/handling were very reasonable. I have nothing bad to say about my transactions- all of them! They were very smooth and painless. I went in to get a gift certificate for a birthday present. I found the shop and was able to get parking! Yay! The store is clean and pretty. Full of curious things and smells divine! The staff welcomed me immediately and offered different services and when I asked for the gift card, managed that easily. Transaction went very smooth. The gift card is a hard plastic card with their name on it. Really nice and the packaged it in a pretty bag with literature from the store. I was very happy with my purchase. The first time I went was like a week ago and I spent a little bit more than I wanted to. Their perfumes and such are really expensive, and, despite what they do or don't do I can't say but I can say they don't last too long. I also want to put out they do not give free samples of anything. They will rather sell you a sample size, so it will cost you. And the sample size is equivalent to what you would get from Sephora for a perfume sample for free. While there last week I told Raven that I had a lot of amulets and lockets and they were something my aunt Left Behind for me so she told me to bring them in the following Saturday... so today is that day... and Raven wasn't there. Instead there was another woman an elderly woman with frizzy hair and a nice young woman. I told them about the conversation I had with Raven last weekend and they told me just wait a half an hour cuz they are doing the buying right now . I was a little stunned because initially I just wanted to check out what kind of stones they were . I wasn't really sure I wanted to sell them . But never the lass I'm a single mother and I need money, and I waited the half an hour. I don't claim to be a clairvoyant but I thought you were supposed to anoint the jewelry yourself, but whatever the point is I waited my turn and the older woman took like two looks at my jewelry and pretty much told me they were crap, and I should just go sell them at the park. She said totaling it up it's like a dollar for the material. She said there's an audience for it definitely try the park. Yeah I'm going to go hustle some amulet in some random park in downtown Vancouver to a bunch of people I don't know? It was horribly EMBARRASSING. I left because I didn't stand her rudeness. Telling me that my deceased aunts jewelry was worth little more than $1.00 T"d me off. So I set off to Plato's Closet and guess what? I got a nice little sum. I wouldn't recommend this place at all because apparently only one person knows customer service and the rest of them are just weird. read more
