I recently had to have body repairs to my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. The team at Lithia was so great handling my work. From the front desk clerk to the Service Manager Al to the gentlemen out in the yard, they were all very helpful. They went out of their way to secure me a rental car, called frequently with updates and were patient even when the manufacturer did not complete their due diligence . I know my work presented them all with extra work and frustration but Al took it it stride and helped keep me reassured and calm. The bad news first. A lady pulled out in front of me and I hit her, damaging the right front wheel and fender to my BRAND NEW Jeep Compass. But here's the good news: I met Al Melo at Lithia Body and Paint. My insurance recommended him to me. It was like Christmas in July. It was Al. He told me what he needed to do , Explained it all to me, and it was then that I knew my BRAND NEW Jeep would be in good hands. Close to three weeks, later, my BRAND NEW Jeep Compass came out sparking like a 4th of July sparkler. What ever Lithia is paying Al Melo, it isn't not enough. I had an unfortunate run in with my new car. A random man who did not know me decided to ruin my day and picked up a giant metal sign and threw it at my poor beans. The entire side of my car got scratched and dented. I called lithia body and paint and they were about to get me in within the week, and after two weeks of working on beans, she came out looking better than she did before I got hit! The whole side of my car was painted and it was blended really well. The dents were gone. They also washed my car inside and out (and then it rained, so don't mind the after pictures with mud and water spots...). Thank you Larry, Mitch, and the whole team. read more

Horrendous customer service. Bill Geist was rude and didn't explain the process of what he needed to fix my repair without completely disregarding my needs as the provider. Lithia overall is not efficient with communication of their systems in order to fulfill service requests, they also clearly do not appreciate business being brought to them. I do not plan to return to this dealership for anything service or body repair related. I did some major damage to my Toyota when I hit a curb. My tire exploded and I did some major damage to underneath my car. A lot of wire were pulled out and there physical damage. I chose Lithia Body and Paint to do my repairs. It took awhile to do all the repairs but it was worth it. My car looks great . Thank you to Tony and Roxanne for putting up with my daily phone calls. How does a 2 day fix turn into a 2 week fix? And how does oh your headlight came in and it was broken and instead of checking on it When it came in last week, We just noticed so it's going to take another week to get another one. Called today when car is supposed to be done for the 3rd time and hear, " oh your car parts just came in and we will get to it tomorrow?!" Car parts you mean headlight? No car parts‍ oh ok thanks for calling the CUSTOMER, to keep them informed. I'm so confused! And now after reading other reviews I am now worried about the paint job or lack thereof. Wish I could of had a choice on who to take my car too but the jerk who hit me insurance forced me to go here. I will put pictures up once I put them all together and if and when I get my car back, I will get before/after photos of her too. If your not forced to go somewhere, do your homework. read more

I am giving this auto repair one star because the were open. That is about it, I have been trying to work with them for several months and they have the worst customer service ever. Never call back, no updates, now you can not get a person on the phone, the system goes right to voicemail, which as I said, no, never a return call. I read these reviews only after my Geico claims adjuster recommended my car go to Lithia after an accident - it seems like you either have a great experience or terrible, and I was hoping to land on great - nope. Don't take a chance! I thought about giving another star because they did replace a lot of things on my car correctly (from what I can tell) BUT they had lots of errors and problems that rendered my car unsafe to drive - yet they gave it back to me anyway, and denied that it was their fault. The main safety issue was that they had to replace the front left headlight and said the one they ordered wasn't good, and they returned it. So I was set to pick up my car on a Friday but 2 phone calls later (from Geico, then the body shop), I learned it would not be ready. They rented me a car for the weekend, so ok. I did want the headlight to work. That could have been easy but 6 phone calls (!!) and 2.5 hours later, I had the rental car. Had I realized it would be that difficult, I would not have begun that process. That was time I should have been at work. So finally the car is ready Monday - yay! I return the rental car and get to Lithia pretty close to 5:30 pm, when they close. (That pesky work thing again.) I pay my deductible and get the paperwork showing what was done and then am pointed to my car - no going over it with me. I noticed there was damage to the driver side passenger door that hadn't been there and Lithia agreed to fix it if I bring it back. OK. We're still mostly ok at this point. Then I get into the car - the problems begin. There was a powerful chemical smell that was unbearable and overwhelming, and the car was really dirty. Not a car I wanted to be driving. I had to leave the windows down for a week before the smell (mostly) dissipated. Still - not a safety issue. I am driving home, distracted by the smell, when I realize that when I turn the AC on, the windshield wipers start going - verrrry slowly, often getting stuck in the middle of the windshield. Not so safe for driving. I try lots of settings and can't fix this problem. The "solution" was to turn the headlights on, because they also made the windshield wipers go - but quickly, at least, so I could see while driving. Better (but very weird to drive around hot sunny days with windshield wipers going). The kicker: the stupid headlight they made me wait for STILL didn't work! What the hell. You'd think they would test it, after all that. Nope. I let Geico know about these issues but apparently Lithia had no idea what was causing them - that's when I also learned they don't know anything about Hondas but "call someone" when issues come up. So if you have a Honda...take it somewhere else! Lithia's theory, according to Geico, was that "a rodent must have chewed through the wires" - ha! The service department at Bill Pearce Honda quickly diagnosed the problem: Lithia had painted over a ground and it was causing the short circuits. Honda spent three hours diagnosing and cleaning and solving the problem, and my car finally worked, hooray! It wasn't really that mysterious; I googled the issue I was having and improper grounding was frequently suggested as a cause. It's not so uncommon that any reasonable person would blame it on a rodent. Geico had said they might not cover it unless they could directly attribute the crazy wiring issues to the accident - well, duh. At that point, it seemed like Lithia and Geico were really not wanting to help get the car fixed. At no point did I get an apology for Lithia's error, which caused me lots of time and aggravation - and cost Geico extra money, too. I am sure Lithia billed for extra time and replacement cost for the headlight that "was defective" (nope). I had to work on this crap on my birthday! Before a trip to Tahoe. And cut short my Tahoe trip so I could have the car back before the Labor Day weekend ended. Avoid Lithia if you can. read more

I use to work here and I've see all the inside of this place and how it runs , not to well mangers and people don't seem to call back and let people know what hats going on or if you gotta get moved back or rescheduled . I wouldn't go here and I woundnt recommend find a better place that actually cares about ur car as much as u do ! read more

I'm copying and pasting this from my review of Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Reno. So when I say "this dealership" I'm talking about the Jeep Chrysler dealership right next to the body shop. If you'd like to see pictures, please find my review there. Alright I'm going to try to make a very long story short. I bought a used vehicle here in July of 2020. I purchased through a fantastic sales person by the name of Dirk Westergard. He was 5/5 no complaints. More on sales experience later. I would buy through the sales person again, just not through Lithia. I'm seeking damages from Lithia and soon to be suing unless they can actually finally make me a happy customer. I got in an accident with the vehicle I purchased from this dealership a few months after I purchased it. I had repairs done at Lithia Body & Paint of Reno. MULTIPLE issues on the day I picked up the vehicle. My turn signal wasn't connected, doors and bumper were misaligned, and they killed my battery. Over 8,000 miles of driving later I notice my tire closest to where my car was hit was balding. I took the car to my tire shop(Lea Schwab) and they replaced the tire and told me they recommended to take the car back to the body shop. I did. They kept my vehicle for about a month with no offer of a loaner or rental vehicle. Come to find out that they missed damage. So not my fault, right? So why is it my responsibility to figure out a ride to and from work(40 minute commute each way, 4-5 days a week)? They still refuse to compensate me for the new tire I had to pay for, and for the time I had without the vehicle, AND any money I spent to purchase another vehicle that I needed to commute to and from work in. I finally get the car back. They kept the vehicle parked out from of the body shop for a while. Never contacted me. I have emails saved to the dumb repair consultant by the name of Tony Tokin. I have taken this issue with the general manager by the name of Scott Williford, as well as corporate. They tell me they will make things right but all they do is continue to make the matters worse, waste my time, and offend me with pathetic settlement offers. After another couple thousand miles, I noticed more damage on my car. I figured since the shop completely missed the damage, they would cover it under their "lifetime warranty". Right? WRONG!!!! I took the vehicle to another body shop and they did a full inspection and finalized repairs. I have on voice recording(legal in the state of Nevada) of Scott saying they will cover damages. I gave him he estimate and he said that Lithia will take care of the repair costs at that shop. Repairs were cheaper than the estimate and it is months later after attempting to contact corporate and Scott and nothing back from them. I had to pay that repair cost out of my pocket. At this point Lithia as a whole is a company I do not support and never will support. I will add on this: To Dirk Westergard, you are a fantastic sales person! The world needs more sales people like you! I support you, just not the company you work for. I went in and saw Dirk as a friend of mine bought a car through him and loved his experience. I went in and told Dirk there are 2 cars on their lot I wanted to look at. The Hyundai I bought and a Jeep. Dirk got me the key to the Jeep first and I test drove it. Came back and switched keys with him and test drove the Hyundai. I really wanted the Jeep, but Dirk recommended the Hyundai as it was several thousand dollars cheaper and he knew my goal was to just get into a reliable vehicle. As much as I wanted the Jeep, I knew he was right and I should go with the financially smart decision. And an hour and a half later, I owned the car! This was very quick considering it was my first auto loan, and I was playing games with a dealership in Vegas that was taking them over a week to even see if I was approved for a loan. I had a fantastic sales experience with you, Dirk Westergard. I hope your company stops being stupid and failing to handle this situation! Thank you so much Dirk! At this point, Lithia owes me atleast $50,000 otherwise I am seeking legal action. Just the fact that they are refusing to cover the damages they caused us enough to get a lawyer. But there's so much more. I'm not going to post these emails but the emails that corporate sent me are just offending. I made them an offer to settle at $8,000 plus covering damages and I would sign an agreement saying this case is settled and I can not sue for this matter. However they came back to me with a "goodwill offer" of $1,000 and not covering any damages. OFFENDED THE HELL OUT OF ME! I do not think companies like Lithia deserve to be in business. If this goes to court, I will do everything possible to get their Nevada business license taken away permanently. This should never have gotten this bad. If I could give 0 stars, I would! read more

After reading a few bad reviews of Lithia Subaru Body shop I had to write this. I have a beautiful new 2018 Subaru and was sideswiped. I decided to take it here as I want it just as it was. Jim was wonderful and kept me posted of everything being done. I decided to have them install a trailer hitch and wow it is perfect. Can't say enough about Subaru and Lithia. Thankyou. Just a footnote. It's 2020 and my Subaru was in an accident. Had it towed to Lithia Body and Paint and ins. decided to total it. The people at Lithia were so helpful and kind... especially Tiffany . Subaru should be ashamed to have their name affiliated... Just dont DONT take you car here. Its a horrible shop, and if there is a problem with the work you catch they just ignore you. Read below for the experience .... I drive a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek.... This the 2nd worst shop Ive been to. The 1st is the one who originally messed my car up.... They "guarantee their work for life"... crock of ******. After I had a different shop mess my car up in the first place they reassured me I'd be taken care of. It seemed at first that they fixed things but after getting it back I noticed it was not the case. I took it back a second time for the fender they didnt fix. Well... now my $100 headlight doesn't work. The bumper they repainted is splitting and spider webbing. And one of the corner tabs that hold it in place was broken on the install and just shoved into place only to pop out every time it drives. So I called and called and called they ignored me. What kind of guaranteed work is that? I was mad yes but over trying to get them to right their wrongs.... A few months past and I moved to chico. I take really good care of my paint and was wiping the car down one day and .... pop.... my taillight just pops out, fully. They forgot to screw the two bolts that hold in my taillight, but just one taillight. I am beyond furious at this point. I'll say it again...Subaru should be ashamed to be affiliated with this shop. So should the owner So should the manager Every person working there should be ashamed at the work they did... They wont make it right either.... This place is absolutely HORRIBLE for repairing your vehicle!! I had numerous issues with my car after having it repaired at this business. The paint was scratched when they were attempting to put the door back on, there was plastic trim that was damaged in several places, some runs in the paint and some paint protectant(gravel guard) that was forgotten. They also got overspray on the carpet inside the car, along with some on the non-damaged parts of the car and damaged the glass in the door they attempted to repair. After 8 different trips to their shop for them to fix the screwups, I had an employee get in my face and verbally abuse me. Even after that the car was never fixed properly so I gave up and traded in the car. The budget repair shops in town do better work than these people. Words of advice...STAY AWAY!! read more

If there were 6, I would give 6!!! My father had a small fender bender and needed some body work done on a non Subaru vehicle. Although I am their caregiver, I work out of town for months at a time and rely on the love of my life to handle things when I'm gone. My dad got a couple of quotes for the repairs and Lithia came in significantly lower. Larry treated my 92 year old dad with kid gloves and made the process so easy for everyone. He was patient and understanding and went waaay out of his way to repair the car correctly, ordering the right screws and brackets rather than just piecing it together. Although, initially, the repair was going to be less than 1 day, it was two and half. The communication was flawless, Larry kept my dad informed so he didn't worry. The color was perfectly matched and my dads 2001 vehicle came out looking beautiful. We then went back to have a windshield replaced in our vehicle on 1 days notice as we were leaving on a trip. Again, we were treated extremely well, receiving the correct windshield in a timely and professional manner, all the paperwork for insurance was handled and we were able to leave at our scheduled time. I dropped off my vehicle on a Monday, had an appointment for body work to be done. Waited a week for repairs, nothing was done because they "under quoted repair time" waited another week for work to be performed, keep in mind this was just a door panel to be done and was told it would only take 3 days. After i picked up my vehicle i found "dirt" underneath clear coat, and there was STILL a dent in the same location. They also "hand washed" my car which was nice of them, until you see the scratches left on my hood. Along with over spray on my windshield. I've called several times to speak with someone and haven't received a call back from anyone. Keep in mind this vehicle is a 2020 Subaru WRX with under 1,000 miles read more

I will start out by saying we were very satisfied with the repair to the passenger side doors of our 2018 Subaru Outback following a "hit and run" scraping and denting while parked at a local grocery store. Our first complaint is that when we called to check on the status last Thursday we were told it needed to be "detailed" and should be ready by 2pm and that we will "definitely" be called when it was done, and I replied that we will wait to get the call before driving in to pick it up. We were out running errands while waiting for the call and when we weren't called by 3pm we headed home, thinking they needed more time for the cleaning. I finally called again at 4:30 and was informed by a different employee it had been ready to be picked up, but they had no idea why we weren't called. This meant we had to make an extra 15 mile trip the next morning to pick it up. When we got there I asked if we had a miscommunication about being called the day before and the clerk simply said "it just got really busy yesterday". THAT IS NO EXCUSE! These days it takes less than 30 seconds to at least send a text! And less than a minute to make an actual phone call! Our second complaint is that when we dropped off the car we were told it would be completely detailed and "look like new" when done. Apparently they were too busy to follow through. While it had been washed and the interior wiped down and vacuumed, there was still obvious dirt on lower areas of he exterior and wheel wells, so that it certainly did not "look like new". Don't tell us to expect a condition that you can't deliver! read more

They don't even deserve 1 star. They had my nieces truck for over a month. Simple repair and they would order the wrong part, or the wrong part was received, or the USED part they received was not in good shape so they had to find another part. Once we got the truck back, it still was not fixed! She locked the doors and when she tried to get back in the truck, the alarm went off! No apologies for taking so long, no empathy for the mistakes they made, they could have cared less when we picked up the truck. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone, and the insurance company is going to get an ear full as well. read more

I took two of my vehicles here for body work through an insurance claim. One vehicle was repaired and returned in a timely manner without issues. The other vehicle was not. It was returned once with multiple issues that were noted as completed on the invoice but not actually performed: pin-striping missing on one side/not replaced, clear bras not replaced, door moldings not replaced, scratch/dent previously noted not repaired, and primer on the dash from not being properly taped off while in the paint booth. The body shop did correct the issues after returning the vehicle and waiting another week. However, upon picking up the vehicle the second time, the windshield wipers did not work and I had to return to have them adjusted. Upon returning home that night and placing the floor mats back throughout the car, found that the detail/body shop had dismantled the cargo slide area and just left all of the parts sitting underneath the mats but the bolts/washers to reassemble the parts were missing. I informed my insurance company of the various issues. I would not recommend this company as a repair place and would not return again. read more

After my initial problems with Lithia Body and Paint, my claim was taken over by Mitch and since then things went smoothly, my truck was fixed properly and the proper parts were ordered and installed in a timely manner and I was taken care of this time around with the shop. Even though one part is no longer available from the dealer they are still looking to get the part to complete the repair. My biggest complaint the first go around was lack of communication and customer care, but after getting a new representative from the shop the communication was good and let me know if not exactly when things would be done or happen I would get an approximate time frame and that is all that I ask for in any company I deal with. If I had, had this experience the first go around this would be a 5 star review, I did put 4 because of previous problems and I will add if I need a body shop in the future I will defiantly go through Mitch again. read more

We've been told by the Insurance Co. that hey sent the check for $ 953.51 - and it was CASHED on 9/28/2016 by Lithia Suburu. The response by Lithia Suburu has been UNDERWHELMING.
