It is a very cute restaurant! When we got in it took just a little bit for us to get our orders in and for the food to arrive *BUT* you could tell it was because everything that everyone ordered was being made fresh right then and there. This is my first time posting a review, but I felt like more people need to know about this place because of how great the food was. Me and my friend each got an order of the sizzling sisig, and then split garlic rice and sinigang wings. I would go back for any of those in a heartbeat, and plan on doing so soon!

This is not fast food, fast casual, or some slapdash affair. Everything I've had was made with care, precision, and finesse. I'm over joyed to trade any concessions of speed for the flavors, textures, and balances I've enjoyed again and again. The staff has always been divinely friendly and I love seeing a family owned spot where they make site top take care of themselves and take time off. But the food and drinks are beyond compare. I understand why so many items sell out each day; this is a place that rewards early eaters. But every time I've gone, almost without exception each dish and drink was obscenely delicious.

The braised beef noodle soup was easily my favorite dish. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and it came out at the perfect temperature. My only complaint was the noodles themselves. They were pretty tangled and clumped together, almost like they had been sitting refrigerated before being added to the broth. Once separated, though, I really enjoyed the dish. We also ordered the sliced beef with hot peppers. The beef had good flavor, but I thought the sauce was a little too dry for my preference. And when they say hot peppers, they mean it, there were A LOT of jalapeños. There was also a small wait between receiving the noodle soup and the rest of our entrées, so the timing could have been a little better. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and is conveniently located near Downtown Redlands. Overall, I'm glad to see a place serving good Shanghai style Chinese food in an area where there aren't a ton of options like this. Definitely a place I'd come back to and try more of the menu. 7/10

The owner is super nice she can get a bit short With you sometimes, I am sure she works long hours. I would love to give them a better review and I really like small independent shops using fresh ingredients. The dilemma is the use of a lot of oil and the inconsistent curry mixes flavors. I am very torn about this place sometimes good and sometimes it's not so much. Had red curry and had yellow curry and I swear that they are the same level of spicy. I have tried many other dishes there and unless you make it to order you may end up with dry noodles and rice. read more
