Walked in a little while ago, and saw absolutely no one in there. The workers included, but they appeared from wherever they were hiding. I was super excited about another burger joint. Burgers are one of many weaknesses. I like knowing where my beef comes from, especially since "pink slime"...... Okay, back to my review. I thought the fries were probably the best thing here. They were delicious. Everything a fry should be. I definitely appreciate the whole concept of this place. Compost & recyclable bins only. Plus, they have beer! My man complains every time, about wonderful places that don't have beer. Well no complaints this time. He on the other hand, enjoyed this place. He had ordered the bacon and blue cheese. Fantastic he says. He also, didn't mind the small size of the burger. The burger itself, was nothing to write home about. I liked the beef, it was tender and juicy, but the bread ruined it for me. No you don't have an option of getting a little or big burger. If that were the case everybody would just be getting big burgers at Little Big Burger. They would then probably just change their name to "Big Burgers". The food is great here, but the name of the place can be confusing if you think about it too deeply. Compared to most burger places, they got little burgers here. I haven't been to many burgers joints that specialize in making little burgers though. Maybe the burgers at Little Big burger are bigger than the average little burger. If that were the case, then I totally get the sign. To test this theory I think I need to go to more burger joints that only make little burgers and see for myself if Little Big Burger actually has burgers that are bigger than the average little burger. Was super easy to order exactly what we needed online, and food was ready at the right time and they had it on a special table for pickup so there was no contact. Fries were still crispy when I got home. Burger was a bit soggy on the bottom, and the cheese was hardly detectable. But overall a solid, well-priced option. read more

I really love this place. The food is really good, full of flavor, made to order. One of the things I really enjoy about this place is the food is consistently good. I've eaten here now about a dozen times and I'm always happy by the end of my meal. I usually order on their app which is quick, easy to use, and convenient as it allows you to schedule pickup if you'd like to order for later. They also deliver through grubhub and possibly other third party delivery companies. Their menu is simple and pleases the taste buds. Their staff are always busting out orders as if their lives depend on it yet still maintain an approachable, friendly, and helpful experience. Not bad at all! Anywhere there's a decent burger worth trying I'm there. And Little Big Burger doesn't disappoint. Tasty would sum it up best! No chili. 100's of toppings and all that jazz. Just a tasty burger! Though small, I knew I would need at least two burgers to do the job. There's a satisfaction that comes with eating this burger without the sloppy mess. I love this place - delicious burgers with tasty buns and really good fries with yummy fry sauce. The burgers are on the small side but I like it that way... I prefer this size to the standard obscene American size portions. It's certainly enough to fill me up. I also like to buy a bottle of the ketchup to take home. This used to be my go to burger place in Eugene. It usually took two burgers to fill me up. The burger itself is a 9/10 (it can sometimes be soggy). Nonetheless I would endure the terrible music selection, mediocre service and lack of cleanliness for these burgers. Just left little big burger. Where do I start. Walked in and the guy at the register is wearing big mirrored glasses inside. Just stands there. No idea where he's looking, so I wait to be acknowledged. I can get past that. Went to take a seat after ordering, and every single table was empty, yet still greasy and filthy. I wasn't even comfortable sitting at a table, so I asked if there was a rag I could wipe one down with, the guy gave me a big eye roll and came out and wiped down a couple tables. I thank him and wait for my order. The gentlemen with sunglasses called my name and I go get it, take one bite and swallow raw hamburger, I look at what I'm eating and I nearly lose that bite out of my stomach. Far before medium rare. Not medium as stated it would be. It wasn't well. It's burger, and a step above raw in the center at that. They have a sign at the bottom of the menu that says "we are required to inform you eating raw or undercooked hamburger can be dangerous" I was already pretty bummed on the way the place was being run, but after getting my food and gagging, I asked for my money back. They offered to cook it more. I said no thankyou, at this point I'm disgusted and would rather leave. He said that doesn't look underdone to me in a snotty tone, and I lost it at that point. I got my money back and came straight to my car and wrote this review. The burger was small, undercooked and overpriced. The restaurants tables were all filthy, and the employees have attitude. I had read some reviews online and was looking forward to trying there when I was in the area. Despite it being an off time they were pretty busy and there was a little bit of a line. I ordered my burger and sat down. The wait time wasn't too bad. However the burger was tiny, I ordered cheeseburger with bacon and the truffle fries were way too salty. Overall they were both pricey as well I couldn't even finish them. I did want to add at the ketchup that they offer is a bit different and a little on the spicy side and that I did like and it's why they got two stars. If I could live here, I would. Their veggie burger is particularly impressive. So many places will just slap a boca burger on a bun, but this thing is handmade and locally-crafted. There's a good selection of local brews (bottled or canned) and the chevre is the perfect topping to a burger. Pretty damn good burgers. Although some complain about the size, the burgers are really thick and also start at $3. I like to add some bacon and chèvre which really compliments those truffle fries. They have a nice beer selection, but should really get some local or even Oregon beer in stock. Camden's catsup is a super accessory to the fries and the flavorful burgers. What a delightfully Oregon place. I mean, who doesn't want a very small burger for a surprisingly high price served from a guy in a mustache with a menu that has only 3 items on it? I wish I had three hands, because on the one hand, the burger was delicious. On the other hand, I wanted a lot more and yet for a burger that was essentially a slider, I wasn't really happy about spending more, and on the third hand. I probably would have been happy to buy a 3 pack for, say, $9.99 because it was really good. I also wish I had 3 hands because ladies love a man with three hands. This was a brief stop after getting gas on a 16 hour drive. It's really hard to complain about good food that wasn't significantly expensive, and I suppose that going into a place called "Little Big Burger" I should have and did assume the burger was little, and yet also somehow big. I think what made it ever so slightly less than a 5 star experience was that the fries were only okay. But the burger, especially the veggie burger that I consumed, was worth the trip. read more

Did I mention cascade natural beef, local brioche buns, local cheeses, organic veggies. Oh yeah! and they don't have a trash can...WHAT!!!??? ALL compost-able and beer cans recycled. Yum! Little Big Burger was a delicious quick meal before heading out and about downtown. Their burgers are high quality with good cheese options like goat cheese but just a heads up to giant burger lovers...they are smaller than your average burger. For me it was perfect! Little Big Burger is an interesting concept. A simple menu, a wall full of cans of beer, and little burgers. These are 1/4lb pattys pressed into a thicker style burger. The buns are awesome (sourced from a bakery in PDX) and they have options for, cheddar, bleu, chevre etc...The Bleu was fantastic. I did have to get 2 burgers though. One simply wouldn't fill me up. I get the "little burger part", but I think it would be sweet if they did a "big burger" thing too. My wife is no massive eater, but she was still left hungry as well. ALTHOUGH.... They make some damn tasty fries, dusted with Sea Salt and and cooked in white truffle oil. I cant say the fries were the highlight of the meal, but I was really surprised at how tasty they were, and they did help top off the belly. I will be back again, more than likely on a night of drinking and not wanting to get stuffed on food, yet wanting something light enough to absorb some booze. I must touch on the beer selection really quick. It's pretty amazing. Where as it's all cans (from what I know), they have TONS of selections. When I confronted him with this he claimed that he washed his hands, he did not. When pressed further he told me to leave because "I was trespassing." Three stars here is for potential balanced with reality. The burgers ARE small. Really small. If this is a 1/4 burger, they must be using Troy weight. They advertise cooked "medium." Mine was a little hard hockey puck. Burnt, juiceless. Burger was well-dressed--just lettuce, pickles, onion, ketchup. Cheeseburgers are a buck more. Fact is, this is just a plain bad deal. Because the surface size of the burger is so tiny, the piece of cheese they put on the burger is tiny, and the end result is a cheeseburger with visible cheese but no discernible taste of cheese. The bun is attractive and cute and all that. Oh, did I mention it was ICE COLD? Just-taken-out-of-the-walk-in cold? Yeah. It was. THE FUNNY THING? Still a pretty not-bad little burger. Again, I stress the "little." For all my complaints, it still beats most fast-food chain burgers and DEFINITELY beats Dickie Jo's, which, for the life of me, I cannot understand the appeal of. The good? Fries--large portion, excellent. Nice truffle-oil aroma, well-salted, thin and crispy. I'm usually more of a thicker-fry sorta guy, but these were great. I finished the whole bag. The ketchup is a house brand and has a tangy, spicy kick. It was great, and probably what saved my dry-as-bone burger. Overall experience was pleasant. Short wait, attentive service, for the most part. I can't figure it out why, but they ask you for here or to go, but package all orders in to-go bags. I'd like to come back and get a juicy burger--if that happens, I'll add another star. So, is it worth it? A whole meal--burger, fries, drink--costs about 3 dollars less than Five Guys. At Five Guys, you get a burger that's about three times the size, juicier, gooier, taster. So, Five Guys has the slight edge and price-wise it ends up being a wash. IF, however, you don't have the appetite for a Five Guys meal, this is a good option for a few less bucks. read more

I stopped in here for a quick bite not long ago, excited to see yet another burger joint open in Eugene. Overall I'm pretty impressed, with my only complaint being that it was a bit slow (when I arrived there was only one person taking orders and one person cooking/assembling). They have a very basic menu. Burgers, Fries, Soft Drinks and Beer. That's pretty much it. I will note, although it's not mentioned on the menu, they do have bacon available for an additional fee. Let's start with the fries. YES. The fries were amazing. Thin, crisp but without that shortening flavor you get at a fast food joint. Imagine McDonald's fries done right, with better potatoes and oil. The truffle oil adds a subtle, but delicious, flavor. Of course at $2.75 it should be obvious a real truffle has come nowhere near the fries, rather you are getting an imitation truffle flavored oil. Still, delicious. Bar none some of the best fries around, though understandably some people might prefer the thicker skin on style from Five Guys. So on to the burger. I'm amazed to see these called snack sized and tiny. Sure the patty is thicker rather than wider (which gives a nicer meat to bun ratio in my opinion). It's still plenty. I'm really happy to see people selling a quality product with a reasonable portion size. I mean I love Five Guys but the size of their standard burger is a bit ridiculous, do we really need to eat a 2,000 calorie meal when we go out for a burger and fries? I was stuffed after finishing my burger and fries (which were a generous portion). Plus, if you've actually eaten here and at White Castle (I'm from the midwest), the comparison is completely ridiculous. These have at least 6x the meat a white castle burger has, not to mention being WAY bigger than anything I've ever seen called a slider... Ok that rant out of the way. The burger was great. I just tried this place for the first time today for their anniversary promotion (free cheeseburger!). There was a bit of a line and a fairly substantial wait but that was to be expected given the occasion. Even with how busy they were, the workers behind the counter were extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, no frills, with just a handful of tables. Since this was more of an afternoon snack than a meal, I just ordered a cheeseburger and soda (I will DEFINITELY be back to give their truffle fries a try, though!). The first thing you notice when you get your burger is the incredibly small size. For a $4+ burger, you'd expect a heftier burger. But when you take a bite, it's like heaven. The meat was a perfect medium, nice and juicy, and was seasoned well with simple salt and pepper. It was also topped with cheddar, red onion, lettuce, pickle, and ketchup. The ingredients were all good quality, and I thought the selection of toppings was great. The bun was fluffy and slightly chewy--I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be back to Little Big Burger in the future. Although it's a little on the pricey side for the size, this was one delicious burger and is worth a splurge every once and a while. I worship at the temple of Little Big Burger's truffle fries and catsup. You haven't truly lived until you've had some... or a lot. There's something about them that is gosh darn addicting. Somebody may need to check me into a clinic soon because I've got a problem. If I could I'd sit at home all day and eat their fries. The truffle oil makes me feel slightly more classier than the other couch potatoes out there. Chevre cheeseburger with the perfect touch of pink. What more can I say? Fragrant suggestions of musty white truffle linger upon each primal, earthy, sea salty crunch. The truffle fry is the best thing ever to be invented, and places echelons above other mundane creations like air conditioning & indoor plumbing. And LBB's truffle fries are a serious deal that should be eaten any time, all the time. You may be tempted to order two bags, but the orders are huge- two might very well kill you. (Still, it would be a happy death.) Fries are served with artisanal ketchup & a spicy sriracha+mayo mix, which make them all the more addictive. I would love if LBB fed my dipping compulsion by adding a few more creative condiments to the menu, a la Belgian style. I consider the burgers an afterthought, but like the idea of paying less money for the perfect portion size, combined with high quality ingredients. Bottom Line: Truffle fries forever. read more
