We stopped here as part of our summer social beer crawl this year. We came in the late afternoon when it was pretty much empty. Service was of course solid given we were the only group in there. Everyone was happy with the wide beer selection, numerous board games, cute bathrooms with chalkboard walls and tons of cans and bottles from local breweries to take home. Pros: Industrial and clean yet cozy feel, fun board games and good beer on tap. Great for bigger groups. Cons: Nothing comes to mind

Still a total 5 star location! Brian and Danny constantly have events, new and fun food trucks outside, and always have a nice variety on tap. Other places might have more on tap, but the neighbor feel and friendliness of the customers and owners really make this place one of my favorites in all of Oakland! I actually bought a growler of the Cara Cara Bang Bang sour to take home and make some carnitas! I'm not a huge sour beer person, but this stuff tastes JUST like orange juice. It ended up being an awesome dish!

Awesome place with great variety of tap and canned beers and very loyal audience. We're there for the first time on Sofar event and can tell that the atmosphere was amazing! The only thing that I can ask as a not a beer person a couple more of ciders would be really great(:

Great tap selection, very kind staff, great outdoor seating to see all the doggos out for their walks (they even have treats available for dogs!! ). We only stopped by for a quick visit but we'll definitely be back for more beers at another time

All outside sitting and Covid protocols followed. Easy ordering and paying system via barcodes and friendly hosts. Beer variety was also good and served our purpose. Would like to come back again when it is a bit warmer so we don't need the outside heaters.

This is a great new'ish to me neighborhood spot. They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary, which nicely coincides with the rise of several nearby apartment buildings. I hope that means they'll be here for the long haul! What to get there? They have 14-16 beers on tap all the time; I favor the lighter beers like pilsners or weissbeer but if you want double IPAs they've got that too. There are trivia night and game nights a few times a month (follow them on instagram @tigerstaproom to find the dates), and food options Tuesday through Sunday. My favorites are East Oakland Smoke on Thursdays and D.O.G. hot dogs on Sundays, but I'm looking at Street Steam Bunz on Fridays as my next thing to try. Tuesdays is La Santa Torta, Wednesdays Las Marianas, and Saturdays DCQUE BBQ. So something for everyone. Enjoy!

Next... Pale Ale - $7, now that's more like it! No IPA today, so I had to settle. My daughter got the Yard Bird, Strawberry Lemonade Beer. Suits her. Ambiance - Cool space. Lots of semi private spaces that you can rent. See pictures or their website. Very kid and dog friendly! Unisex restrooms with outside sinks, thank you! NO parking! So bad on a Saturday evening that we almost did not come. Open 6 days a week - see picture or their website. Closed on Mondays. Service - Counters service. For both the bar and Lovely's. The outdoor bar has WAY faster service than the inside bar, just an FYI. Price - Affordable, especially for the Bay Area. Just left South Lake Tahoe and paid $9 - $10 + tip a beer there, but you know that because you are following. Owner Comment - Congrats to the building since 1919. Congrats on your success since 2021; glad we were able to visit.

Their indoor space is actually quite large if it's a rainy day too. The outside is super lively on a sunny weekend, and you'll see a ton of doggies and some kids. I enjoyed all the brews I've tried here, and there's one I'm still on the hunt to find again from here -- it was simply salt and lime light beer?? Still won't stop talking about it. That kind of sucks if you like to have water. Every time you order, you close out and tip. I don't know if that makes much sense. My favorite was the Drake's Press. You pick your fruit and it's served with fresh lime juice. I picked strawberry and it was like a perfect virgin strawberry margarita. I added some soda water to dilute it a little and is was still delicious and refreshing. The summer toast was good. The today was perfect and crunchy. The labneh was cool and creamy and topped with basil, bacon, peaches, mint, and hot honey. Maybe it was too many flavors because the peach didn't come through, but it was tasty. My fella got the fries and he wasn't very impressed. I think he said the sauce over powered everything. We also got the picked vegetables. They were okay. A little more on the sweet side, but went well with the toast! I loved the backyard setting vibe. It was lovely and the weather was incredible.

Tl;dr - A true beer garden ala Texas/Midwest, with the food, beer, and relaxed summer vibes you all…read moredream of. There's something for the whole family aside from some truly tasty beers. I've been coming here for awhile, ever since one fine afternoon I was in town on business and was feeling a need for craft beer. I was once the world's predominant authority on craft beer in my own mind, but years of chugging ales have decimated my tolerance for it. Anywho, the first thing you'll notice about this spot is it's out there, pretty far off from downtown Alameda tucked away in an old military pier alongside some other more enterprising establishments. Lots of parking so there's that. Inside, they are definitely doing that thang, massive brewery stacks dominate the background but the space is massive so it supports an almost endless amount of tables, benches, and spots to hide out. Arcade machines, outdoor activities (even a kids sandbox) really add the "Adventureland" elements that make it more than just a standard brew joint. If you've had their beer, it's definitely on the expensive side, but they keep a healthy variety that I would say is all reliably refined and delicious. Its no 2000 era Bells or modern day Founders, but I particularly like their love hazy and the Mexican style lagers. My friends who like sours say they are also quite good. Although this place is really not directly affiliated with the business it's definitely a reason I go so I can't leave it out -- they have food trucks outside that handle most of the food there and the one they have there always has one of the best burgers I've ever had in the bay, hands down. It's a blackened blueberry and blue cheese burger and even though I don't like blue cheese, this unholy alliance is faaaaaaan-friggin-tastic. Must try. Service is casual, they do flights which is a great way to try things. Not sure about any happy hours, would love to see them get a mug/growler thing going here for discounts, they might have something already I'm just not aware of but nothing is obvious when I've gone. It's a great spot to kick it with some friends on a nice day or late afternoon, having a few beers and relaxing. California doesn't really do the beer garden thing like we do in the Midwest, you'll find spots like this all over Michigan so it's nice to see something of the same type here finally. I believe dogs are allowed too ala Texas vibes, but not 100% on that so I'd check ahead of time. Personally, I cannot stand seeing dogs at restaurants and bars so even if they do allow it, those aren't your kids, can we start reporting places that allow dogs without signage? If I brought a raccoon in on a leash would you be fine with that? It's a sanitation issue. Anyways, I digress, if you like beer, you like fun, and you like damn fine burgers, this is the best spot on the other side of the pond. 'nuff said.
