Dog drinking out of human water glass
    K V.

Dogs indoors drinking out of the human cups, so ick . None of the five staff intervened. I had to go to and ask the staff to intervene and give these guys a dog bowl, it was gross. Otherwise I like this place a lot but from now on, I'm taking my own water bottle. Health and sanitation matter to me, and accommodating dogs is getting out of control.

Quality drinks. They make them all even some of their own special creations. The vibe is cool - inside or outside. Bartenders are attentive and knowledgeable.

Came here on a Friday night; the bouncer checked IDs at the front and then let us in right after confirmation of our age. It was full of people but not packed to the point of no sitting space. We ordered a couple drinks, all of which were good. I got the pink cashmere, which tasted like a strawberry milkshake and lemon drop, which tasted like a lemonade with sugar rim. The vibe is super chill and not too loud so you can talk without having to scream at the other person. There's a ton of seating inside and outside the bar, which is nice. There's space heaters outside in case you're cold. The prices were pretty typical for cocktails. I would recommend coming here if you're looking for a chill spot for date night or catching up with friends and good, reasonably priced drinks.

I've apparently been living under a rock because I had no idea cocktail bars were so popular! We were lucky to find parking right across the street and walked right in to catch a pre dinner cocktail. I ordered the margarita de tamarindo and the bartender made it right away. The cocktail was HEAVY on the tamarind (which was why I got it) and was a good twist on your traditional cocktail. I really enjoyed the boxing theme that was woven throughout the bar and the indoor and outdoor seating were spacious.

This bar was a pleasant surprise. There was a certain vibe that I was looking for and this spot was exactly it. The spot: Randomly located in an industrial area which makes it pretty unique. When we arrived, they had a guy checking ID's. The patio was pretty awesome with lights, plants, and had about 6-7 tables with chairs. Pretty dope space and felt very cozy and welcoming. They were playing hip hop music during the first 2 hours we were there, it was pretty great vibes for an early Saturday evening. Dog friendly bar. The indoor space is pretty big with a handful of tables and a long bar with barstools. The bar is stacked with a huge variety of liquors. It was quite overwhelming, but also pretty exciting because they were nothing short of a variety of delicious handmade specialty cocktails that could be made. Restrooms were gender neutral and appeared to be pretty clean. They only had an air hand dryer, which are not my favorite. They didn't have paper towels, so I had to use my shirt to open the door after washing my hands. Parking: There's plenty of street parking. Not too much street traffic, so parking didn't appear to be an issue. The service & drinks: The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. They made some pretty amazing drinks too. I tried the Margarita de Tamarindo with Mezcal, it was fire. The drink was flavorful, I just wish it was rimmed/garnished with something creative to elevate the flavors. The Prairie Artisan Ales Slush was a great sour, with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and citrus. The liquor/drink menu is almost 40 pages long, with some very unique and specialty options. So they have something for every palate. They also have some good beers available too. Food: They have $4.50 tamales. Who doesn't love tamales and a nice cocktail. They had a meat and a vegetarian option available. Which both sounded amazing, unfortunately we didn't try them. Definitely next time! Overall, this bar is fantastic! If you're in the area, you'll definitely want to check it out. It's a quick drive from the Emeryville hotels and a quick find from the freeway.

I tried to start a friendly conversation and ask a few questions about the drinks, however the responses I received were very brief and limited to only the drink names, which made the interaction feel unwelcoming. I also noticed that we were the only Latino guests there at the time, and throughout our visit we felt largely ignored. As a result, the overall atmosphere did not feel comfortable or inclusive to us. Based on this experience, I did not feel welcomed at this bar in Berkeley and would not recommend it. For the appetizers, we got the caprese salad ($19), cheesy garlic bread ($14), chicken wings ($18), and BBQ pork riblets ($18). The caprese salad was one of my favorites. The spring mix was super fresh, and even though I'm not the biggest cheese fan, I really liked the fresh mozzarella. The vinaigrette had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, making this a great spring or summer salad. The BBQ pork riblets and chicken wings were both a little dry. I liked the seasoning on the riblets, while the chicken wings were a bit lighter in flavor. The cheesy garlic bread was, as expected, super cheesy! I didn't realize the roasted garlic was served on the side, and personally wasn't the biggest fan of its flavor, but the focaccia itself had a great texture. We also shared the Aries ($22), Mercury ($21), and Cassiopeia ($25) pizzas. The Aries was a classic pepperoni pizza with a nice thin crust, and the Mercury was a margherita pizza. I liked the fresh tomatoes, although I wish there had been more basil. The Cassiopeia was my favorite of the three, and I can definitely see why it's so popular. The BBQ sauce was super flavorful and paired really well with the chicken and onions. Jupiter has a lively atmosphere and a really nice outdoor patio with live music, making it a fun spot for group dinners. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. Street parking is available nearby.
