The annual Au Sable Canoe Marathon is this weekend (which I was not aware of) and though the place was busy they seated us right away. The Grayling store has a good variety of items for the area. I come here from the South Higgins lake area. The wine, beer, liquor section is larger than other Family Fares in the area. I rarely drink but my 87 year old mother gets her way and they have Sobieski Vodka which makes my mother happy. My spoiled dog (all Mom's doing) eats FreshPet dog food. The Grayling store always has a variety of it in stock. The bakery, deli and produce usually has a good stock of items. Of course, I go during the week. They have a Starbucks in the store. The only one for miles. I buy decaf coffee beans and get the Pikes Place flavor. No one else in the area carry decaf beans. The parking lot could use some improvement. It's not a first good impression--potholes and barely visible lines. It always seems trashy. Inside the store is clean. Some of the aisles are not fully clear.
