What a fantastic find! We went on a Friday night for their appertivo special. For $30 per person, we got endless cocktails and multiple courses of food (5-7 pm). I was so confused on the food part. But in short, it's a muticourse selection of their hot and cold items. Plenty of food -- you will leave full! We truly loved the experience and our servers were so friendly. We joined with our twin babies and they loved it. The spot is family friendly with stylish high chairs and for those rare, lovely warm evenings, grab an outdoor table. LOVE the ski lodge upstairs and delicious hot cocoa! I really like the cozy ski lodge game room upstairs with fake fireplaces and spiked hot cocoa. Although I tried the spike "3 Cornered Hill" with yellow charteuse and my husband had the "Combo in a Cocoa" with bourbon and oatmeal stout, I like the classic virgin hot cocoa the best. It's so rich and indulgent! The "Why is Hot Wine So Delicious" mullied wine had some nice spices, the "Hot Buttered Rum" is on my list to try next time. The savory onion and cheese zeppole were quite different than the sweet beignets that I had in mind. The filling was interesting and quite mushy. They were fun to try, but wouldn't get them again. My husband enjoyed brussel sprouts with bacon. My husband and I got here at 9 and it was pretty packed. We couldn't find a place to sit and grabbed a couple of tree stomp stools. After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, we snagged a pair of cozy leather chairs and then we upgraded to a table 20 minutes later. We played a few games (I beat my husband at Checkers!). I wouldn't recommend coming here in groups if you don't mind standing all night. Its quite cozy and you might not be able to snag a table. You'll have much better look in pairs. This place was a recommendation from one of my friends. We went there in a group of 7 people. The reservation was simple through the resy system. We got a table in the patio as we were promised but the table only had 6 chair even though we asked for a table for 7 but it is no biggy. I am not a drinker but the mixed drinks here are really good. The classic negroni was tasty. We tried another drink with herbs in it which was really good. The good thing is the cocktail menu changes often here so a person can look out for new drinks. From the appetizers, we tried the Lemon Ricotta & Marinated Artichokes with Ciabatta which was a good way to start the dinner. The cheese and artichoke was a good combo. We also got the fried green tomatoes. They were good but I would say nothing special. For the food, we ordered Caccio E Pepe Pasta, lobster ravioli, Fra Diavolo Risotto, and two pizzas. From those items my favorite was the Risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly and risotto itself was delicious. The Caccio E Pepe which s basically cheese and pepper pasta was made very well and the addition of lemon parsley crumb added to the taste and mixed perfectly. I liked the Lobster Ravioli as well. Little Coco's is a neighborhood gem. It's solid Italian, good pizza, reasonably priced. Nothing that will knock your socks off but reliably good. I really love the crust they use for their pizza and find myself coming here much more often than Timber. read more

Maybe it's better dining in? For entrees my husband got a pizza and I got the pumpkin ravioli. The ravioli was good - but - I couldn't get over how there were only 6 pieces. I ordered one tequila cocktail which was super refreshing and strong simultaneously. I also brought a wine bottle which we were able to open with a $30 cork fee. We ordered some bread and butter which I'd say was definetly overpriced at $8. I got the pepperoni based pizza which was delicious. It was a mix of sweet and spicy with the bbq sauce and jalapeños. When we arrived, there was a bustle of activity with people waiting for tables and a line of people waiting to pick up carry-out. I found this to be a good sign that we were in for a quality dinner--I was right. We started with the meatball appetizer as a nosh, and on a Friday after a long work week, this dish hit my mouth and triggered an endorphin rush that sent me to Italy. Those meatballs were dank. The main dishes were the Squid Ink Capellini and the Red Wine Campanelle. It was my first time trying a Squid Ink dish, and I'm happy to report that it was awesome. The ink acts mostly as a dye for the capellini and the dish is mainly a lime butter seafood medley. Canpanelle is one of my favorite pastas, and Little Coco's did it favors. The short rib, onion, bacon, red wine, and pecorino blended effortlessly into a sumptuous sauce that lingers in your mind. This spot is on the list for a carry out pizza. Bottomless Happy Hour! On a Monday...or Tuesday...or Wednesday! I think you get my drift. Weekday bottomless drinks and small plates at Little Coco's is hands down one of the best and most underrated HH deals in DC. The menu is trim but brilliant in its universal appeal. I've been for weeknight bottomless HH 5-7p ($23) with a girlfriend and for brunch w/ bottomless ($26). Both times, everyone left smiling and satisfied. I organized for a large party of work colleagues. To be honest, organizing the brunch for 10 people was a nightmare. They don't answer the phone or defer to a manager that "isn't here during early weekday hours." After finally, walking in after work a week in advance, I had to push pretty hard just to be able to leave a number for the manager to call me back. The event manager did get back to me a day or two later and was very gracious in helping pin down a large party reservation. Ironically, on the day of we were the only people dining except one or two other tables. Unfortunately, even then the servers weren't very attentive or friendly. Nice place in the downtown hipster district. Ate here last year and decided being in two for the weekend to stop back. Grabbed an Uber and headed this way. Recommended for out of town era like me! Place has outdoor seating, as well as large booths and bar high tops. Not a traditional Italian spot but pizza, pasta, and various items on the menu. Usually able to just walk in and get a table- and being open until midnight (HUGE) I have never had trouble with securing a seat. During high traffic times it's probably wise to call ahead. Each time I have went with the Cacio e Pepe- or pepper spaghetti with lemon sauce. Got it on a recommendation from fellow yelpers. This is somewhat small, but very tasty and highly recommended. Being a big Italian pizza guy, and each time coming here after being without nourishment for 12 hours respectively, we got pasta and shared a pizza pie. This time we got the deluxe which had meat, several cheeses, and broccoli rabe (young bitter broccoli type veg) on it. The rabe was a little too big, and with the stalks on it made it hard to negotiate and chew through. I like my pie noce and smooth, a little soggy, and easy to slurp and of away. Little Coco's is a small restaurant but that's no reason to sleep on it! It's really cozy and the food is great. A friend and I dined in at 6:45 on a Friday. We had reservations and there were only a few empty tables when we arrived. We shared the prosciutto and burrata to start - it was different than I expected but really tasty. It came with 4 warm and crunchy slices of bread, half a plate of prosciutto and a ramekin of whipped burrata. To eat I had the Cacio e Pepe and my friend had the Bigoli. Both were delicious and I would say pretty classic. The portions were good - I wasn't able to finish mine but left only a few bites so didn't bring home the leftovers. The pizzas sounded good so next time may try to split a pizza and a pasta with my companion! read more

We loved our meal. Interior is super cozy. Everything was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was super curt and made it seem like us being there was an inconvenience to him. Threw napkins down on the table, brought check before we were done ordering, never really checked in. Another resounding review of the aperitivo HH pre fixe special. I arrived with a friend around 5:15pm and there were already people snuggled up to the bar and in tables (the special is served everywhere in the restaurant), so, as others say, arrive early, stay late. As a note, you can also order off the menu, and I saw an adorable and local family grab a delicious pizza to split with the kids for early dinner. All of the meatballs, all of the brussels, all of the cocktails. Be efficient in how you order. As others have noted, the wait-staff are on their toes, but as orders (especially drinks) can get back-logged, put in your (up to 2 at a time per person) food order and drinks as you are starting to finish them. Be kind to your wait-staff, who are more than happy to make sure you get your monies worth, and be sure to tip them appropriately for your glutinous real estate hogging over the two hours. We were kindly warned about the 7pm time-stop....but best believe we were observing the clock and made important eye-contact to solidify that last round of drinks. It's pretty clear that you can fill your belly with the hearty mix of apps and drinks over 2 hours. No dinner will be needed after this happy hour, and maybe a late evening nap would be required before trying to meet friends out on a Friday night. read more

I've ordered through Uber eats twice. The last time was pre-Covid I think. I can't remember the details but I remember not being impressed the first time. I decided to give it another shot a few days ago. I ordered the Caesar salad and goat cheese ravioli. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy.The dressing was good but one dressing is not enough. It barely covered the amount of salad, so that was a bummer. Otherwise, the salad would have been a winner in my book. The goat cheese ravioli was tasty overall. I could do without the balsamic in the dish. Now about the portions. Salad was a good portion. Ravioli portion was on the small side. Came here on a Saturday night to enjoy some Italian food. The service was great. Everybody was very friendly. We started off with the calamari and Caesar salad. It was very salty, but delicious so if you do get those appetizers I would ask for the croutons on the side, and or not to add any extra salt. Had a girls night out that started at little coco's. Our table wasn't quite ready at the time of our reservation, but there was room at the bar while we waited. Once the table was ready the servers were able to grab our orders fairly quickly. We decided to split a bunch of food, including the cacio e pepe, the crispy Brussels sprouts, the red wine Campanelle, the whipped burrata, and the sea scallop Picatta. The standouts were definitely the crispy Brussels sprouts and the red wine campanelle in my opinion. The scallops were good too. Overall, we enjoyed everything. What a brunch! I put Little Coco's on my DC list weeks ago- I was originally planning to try the aperitivo hour at night but we needed a brunch place and decided to give it a try. The options trend savory/lunchy more than traditional brunch but the food was PHENOMENAL. You can get a brunch entree + bottomless mimosas/lager for $26. Love that beer is an option since downing mimosas for a long time gives me a screaming headache. Service was fantastic, ambiance so cute, and the brunch pizza was to die for. I came here for brunch over the weekend and it was pretty damn good. They offer a bottomless deal with an entree for $23 - you really can't beat it. The wait for 2 wasn't long at all (somewhere around 10-20 mins) and the food is delicious! I got the eggs benedetto, which was perfect. My friend had the Chicken Milanese Sandwich, which was good, but with the bread along with the breaded chicken, needed more sauce. After she asked for some marinara on the side, it was gone. Aperitivo hour includes a set menu bottomless cocktails, beer and wine and several appetizers (salad, cheesy flat bread, hot platter and cold platter) for $30 a person. Drinks are yummy and very pretty and I really enjoy most of the food, not all of it is amazing but overall for the price it is really delish. There are plenty of options so there will be something for everyone. It is worth noting that everyone at the table must participate in Aperitivo hour and you can't make changes to the set menu to get the deal. Cute indoor and outdoor seating and service has always been nice and attentive. I haven't been for dinner or brunch but I have also heard good things about the pasta and pizza. This review is specifically for Little Coco's "Apertivo Hour," which they run from 5-7pm Monday-Thursday. During this 2-hour window (which they're VERY strict about - we tried to order one extra drink at 6:59, after they'd done last call, and they apologetically told us it wouldn't be possible), they offer unlimited wine, cocktails, and nibbles for $23. You didn't read that wrong. $23 FOR BOTTOMLESS FOOD AND DRINK - possibly the best happy hour there is to be had in DC! We tried almost the whole drink menu (don't judge me). The Black Old Fashioned was my favorite, with the French 75 close behind. The Coco's Basil Gimlet was slightly too sweet for my taste. I also had a glass of the Sicalia Red Blend, which was also good. As for food, we tried almost all the vegetarian options they had - the Green Onion Zeppole (a cheesy fritter that tasted delicious), the Artichoke Crostini (I suspect it had some hidden truffle in there, and it was out of this world), the Fried Dough (which I'd say you could skip, but it's free with the price of admission, so why not?), and the Brussels Sprouts (which aren't vegetarian, but they took out the guanciale for us and it was freaking delicious). A couple caveats: 1) Get there early - before 5pm - or else you'll wait in line and miss out on valuable happy hour time! 2) You're only allowed to order two dishes per person at a time, and it definitely does take a few minutes for the food to come out, so there's only time for 2-3 rounds. We didn't have any trouble (particularly since we only wanted to try the non-meat half of the menu), and had more than enough food, but I can see how it could potentially be frustrating if you want to try out more dishes. 3) As I said, they're strict about stopping at 7pm sharp. So maybe even if you're not done with the drink you're on when they do last call, order one anyway? ;-) In summary - great food, great drinks, great price, great deal, great time. I was really excited to try Little Coco's but I think next time I'll just stick to pasta for takeout or try the pizza in person - even with just a 5 min drive home the pizza didn't really hold up. I love this place; it's incredibly delicious, and the brunch and aperitivo are great deals. I live nearby and visit at least once a month. However, I've noticed a couple of roaches and ants on the wall near the booths during my last few visits. My friend even killed one while we were eating. While I initially brushed it off as a minor issue, it's starting to affect my experience. I really enjoy Little Coco's, but I'm hesitant to return anytime soon. read more

Little Coco's does not disappoint! When we moved to the neighborhood, a friend suggested we check out this little gem on upper 14th. We discovered that not only do they have an awesome happy hour (every day!!!), but they also have 1/2 price pizza on Mondays and a killer brunch. We've come probably 10 or so times in the past year and every time has been great. Since we always come with kiddos, we tend to eat on the earlier side (5 or 6), so the restaurant is never very full. I love, love, LOVE how family friendly Little Coco's is. Some establishments get annoyed when kiddos enter the picture, but our children (who can be rather...loud) are always greeted with a smile and are made to feel very welcome. We always get one cheese pie (our kids don't like to be very adventurous with their pizza) and one of the specialty pies. Two is perfect for a family of 4. I'm currently loving their garden pie with baby eggplant and pesto. The 'nudja pie is also quite good, as is the one with a duck egg (I forget the name). Pizzas change seasonally to reflect available produce and flavors. The DRINKS are also great. There is a pretty decent wine list and a really great beer menu. I always go for a cocktail - the negronis and aperol spritz are quite good but my favorite is a French 75 (and for $6 during happy hour, there is no beating that). I know nearby Timber Pizza gets a lot of hype, but I have to say the service and food is 100% better here. And you really can't beat the great background music (some Rolling Stones and Pixies and The Cure? Yes please) and wall art to accompany your meal. read more

The Quattro Formaggio was probably my favorite, but we also loved the Mt. Vesuvius and Demogorgan. We had the tiramisu for dessert - also fantastic. Food aside, the service was on point and the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. Little Coco's is in the running with 2 Amy's and Il Canale as my favorite pizza joint in DC.
